Then Dr Connor has someone take notes while she listens intently and looks you in the eye so that she can have a conversation and pay attention. She really knows her stuff and is not averse to questioning minds such as mine or alternative treatments and supplements. She made a recommendation for a lab test that my cardiologist should order for my high cholesterol. I already felt better walking out of her office after over an hour of actually being heard for the first time. She is worth every penny and I will be seeing her exclusively from now on. After a horrible experience with another dr. at S&W, I refused to go the dr. again for a year. When I went in I had lost 50 lbs . (180-130lbs, 5'11") and it was painful even to drink water. My Dr. at S&W was an incompetent idiot and saw me as a commodity instead of a patient. Her only concern wasn't my health, but how much money she could make off of me. Dr. Mattson quickly realized I had GERD and put me on Nexium which immediately ended several years of pain. She discovered I had diabetes, high blood pressure and a few other problems, She also took me seriously and referred me to a neurologist who diagnosed me with early onset Parkinson's Disease. My previous doctor at S&W hadn't noticed any of those things, would not listen to me, didn't care and told me I just wanted drugs. I never imagined a doctor could change your life so much for the better or worse. I appreciate so much that doctor Mattson was there to help me improve my quality of life. Dr. Mattson is one of the most pleasant, down to earth doctors I've ever met. Occasionally I had to wait to see the doctor as she was running late, but that never bothered me because I knew that when it was my turn, I would have Dr. Mattson's full attention for as long as I needed it, too. This isn't a doctor that rushes in, gives you antibiotics or something and herds you back out in five minutes; this is a doctor who really cares and actually listens. I don't see dr. Mattson much anymore because she is nearly impossible to get in to see. Word has spread about how wonderful she is, and she is extremely busy. When I do get to see her, it always makes me happy just to see her friendly smile. He is really good for a PA, in my opinion. Do not care for Dr. DeLeon so far. I avoid her now. I was not impressed by the scheduler or the nurse in the office. They were not friendly, the nurse who took me back had a grumpy look on her face the entire time, wasn't welcoming or warm at all. When I asked why it took 4 days to get meds filled, she made it a point to look it up on their system to tell me it only took 3 days. Okay but your system says it takes 24 hours to 48 only. I disagree but, whatever. Point is, why is the nursing staff have zero bedside manner? She was so grumpy and unpleasant to deal with. I set up tele health as often as possible now. I had labs done recently and its the 4th day still no results listed. I had the lab work done in your building, why is it still not posted? Usually blood work, easy cholesterol, etc take a day, maybe two days at most. This was disappointing. I wish Dr. J would come back.
