I've gotten pedicures there recently and decided to try their hair stylist. I was given a name Frankie and proceeded to schedule an appointment. Before the appointment, I showed her a photo of my desired style. She looked over it several times and guided me to shampoo station where she pushed my head and hair around way too harshly and without much care as to how it felt. When I said, "hey, slow down", she responded, "we're either a good fit, or not!" Hmm? The cut was exactly the opposite of what I had asked for, after asking to see the photo several times. Now, I will say that it was in no way the cut I requested but the worst part was after going there for a pedicure and mentioning my displeasure to my pedi person about the haircut and she agreed there was no similarity between the photo and my hair. No problem. It's not the first haircut that I got where I wasn't satisfied. And because of Frankie's (Trish?) attitude at the appointment, I didn't dare go back and complain. All that being said, I attempted to make another Pedi appointment and was told they were not accepting appointments for me. No explanation, nothing, just no appointment for me! So, hopefully, the owner,Melinda is reading this and will explain where their professionalism came from. Thanks for listening. I just received a response from Melinda on my post. None of what she said was in any way accurate. The desk person stated that all she knew was that she was not allowed to schedule me AND at the time I was getting the cut, there were a total of one other client and Liz in the entire salon when I was there and the only person who said anything negative was the stylist. I was too shocked to speak. I in no way complained about the cut to her, but it was mentioned to Liz who had referred me to the stylist, when I was there a week later.

While I understand that many businesses have cancellation policies, this was never disclosed to me at the time of booking. There was no clear mention--verbally or otherwise--that I would be charged the full cost of the visit if I did not show up. Only after the charge was processed was I informed that this is part of their policy. Transparency is critical in any service-based business, especially when it involves significant fees. Failing to communicate such an important policy upfront is unacceptable and misleading. In addition, the way the situation was handled reflected poorly on the business. The staff came across as inexperienced and lacking professionalism. Instead of addressing the concern in a clear and customer-focused manner, the interaction felt dismissive and unstructured. Overall, this experience left a negative impression. Clear communication, accountability, and professional conduct are essential, and unfortunately, those standards were not met here. Better off looking into other well established spas in the area

My experiences at 20 Orange are on par with spa experiences I have had at high-end spas all over the world. I really like this place and think it is the best spa in town! Location: they are located right in the heart of downtown Wilmington between Front St and the river walk. Their facility is really high-end and if not the nicest Pricing: they add the gratuity into the price of the massage, so you don't have to deal with tipping. Everything is included in the price of the service. Also, they provide tokens for parking,so no worrying about time on a meter! Facial: They do a facial designed for men where you get to choose the treatments you want. It is basically a prix fixe menu that you pick a treatment from 3 separate categories (exfoliant, mask & massage). I added a picture of the facial menu. Hannah did my facial and it was awesome! Sauna & Cold plunge: they have this large private room that you have all to yourself with both an infrared sauna and cold plunge. I loved the transition from the sauna to the plunge. It left me feeling rejuvenated and alleviated chronic pain and soreness from working out. Massage: I did a 90 minute deep tissue massage with JC. What a great massage, Jc knows what she is doing! And is a deep tissue master

I received a mani and pedi, my traveling companion received a massage, mani, and pedi. I booked my traveling companion's services weeks in advance. I booked my services once we arrived. I called the day of my services and they were able to accommodate me, which was very appreciated. I wish I was told that I would be receiving an "express mani and pedi" because I felt my services were rushed. The receptionist never explained this to me. My nail tech had to let me know while servicing me. A bit of a disappointment, especially for the price I paid. The staff were all helpful and professional, but whenever I called the spa, my calls ALWAYS went unanswered. I always had to leave a message and wait for it to be returned and this was during regular business hours. Yes, it was always returned, but I just find that method odd and a bit inconvenient. Even when I booked the services weeks out, I had to call, leave a message and someone got back to me. Note to the spa, when customers call, we want to speak to an actual person to ask questions or book an appointment. I can understand the staff being busy sometimes, but each and every time I called? Come on! Although I enjoyed my nail tech's great conversation and bubbly personality, I don't think she did a great job. It was just average. I saw mishaps with both the mani and pedi. Speaking from someone that has frequented several spas in the past, I wasn't impressed with my services. Granted, my traveling companion loved his services, but I can only go by my personal experience. For the amount of money I spent for my services, I could've gotten much better quality at another location in my area, but I was on vacation, so you just roll with the punches. I also didn't like the fact that gratuity is already added to your bill. What if I didn't particularly think that person warranted that amount for their services or what if I wanted to add more to the tip? That practice just seems to be unnecessary. I know how to tip people. All and all, if I were to stay here again, I wouldn't return to this spa for any further services. It's not worth it, for me at least.
