This is a good Japanese restaurant! If only they weren't so overpriced! 1 chicken order is $8. Very overpriced for average food. The chicken tastes a little weird. I recommend Teriyaki House, if you have lots money to spend for one meal.

They forgot to give me vegetables and then had to put it on top of the meat totally different without everything married together. Make sure to get your vegetables under your meat.

How is anyone even eating this crap? I got the hibachi chicken. Literally 80% of chicken pieces was just gristle.. and then they burned my food.. for $10, you barely get any chicken. The people are rude here. Steer away and try the other nicer places around this areas

I like teriyaki house because the ingredients used is slightly different. I live out of town, but whenever I come through I always stop in. In Chinese takeout they usually use short ribs as the meat. But they use what tastes like flat iron steaks as beef. Chicken is a more hibachi style, and the shrimp is slightly bigger than other places I go to. I really like them a lot!

We were traveling the evening we stopped here and needed road food fast but sick of fast food. The hibachi shrimp and steak was delicious! Nice sized shrimp were slightly underdone and my husbands teriyaki chicken and shrimp was clearly smaller shrimp and less Fresh, but the price was in line with that. The price of the hibachi was what you would pay in a sit down steakhouse but it was perfect for what we needed!

Fresh, fast, and cooked right in front of you. Very delicious fast food Chinese. The Teriyaki and the Hibachi are their specialties. I've had the beef and chicken of both and can recommend them. The Salmon Hibachi is very good. Veggies are crunchy and spring rolls are tasty.

Parking is in a shared lot with three other restaurants (Shoppes at Riverside Center), and thus can be a bit cramped, especially around lunchtime. The lot can be easily accessed only from northbound GA87/US23. If you're planning to come here for lunch, be here early or prepare to stand in line! I was greeted on entry by the cashier. The decor is bright and modern with a hint of Asian flair. There is evidence of moulding being removed from the wall around the 3ft high point at some point, which gives the place a slightly dumpy feel, but the restaurant was otherwise clean. The menu's main features are teriyaki- and hibachi-style meats. The teriyaki chicken is dark meat, while the hibachi chicken is white meat. The teriyaki beef is a cheap cut of steak cut into strips, which the hibachi beef is a better cut of steak cut into cubes. Teriyaki shrimp, hibachi salmon, and hibachi tilapia are some other options. All the teriyaki and hibachi items come with fried or steamed rice and vegetables. There are also several appetizers including dumplings, egg rolls, and tempura. All prices are under $10. All meals are served in a styrofoam to-go box with plastic cutlery. This seems inelegant at first, until you realize you WILL have leftovers! Portion sizes are large, and you can easily make two meals out of one. On the particular visit I am reviewing, I ordered the teriyaki chicken, which is the least expensive main course. Fountain drinks are available, but I opted for water, which is served in a 12oz styrofoam to-go cup. The cashier, Anna, was very friendly and prompt. My total cost for lunch was $6.41 after tax. I waited about 5 minutes for my order number to be called. The first thing I sampled was the vegetables, which were thoroughly steamed yet crisp. The fried rice didn't include anything other than the rice itself, but was flavorful and sticky as it should be. Last, the teriyaki chicken was cooked thoroughly but not overdone, and the teriyaki sauce was heavy but tolerable. I would definitely recommend this place to someone who is looking for the Japanese hibachi cooking, but without the exorbitant prices of a hibachi dinner-and-a-show restaurant.

Fast and friendly service! Food is delicious and quick! Got to try their hibachi chicken! Their yum yum sauce is the best!

On 12/12/21, we had our vegetarian dinners at the Teriyaki House in Macon. It was excellent. We highly recommend eating there.

My family and I decided to order to go this time and we were so displeased. The egg fu yung was full of more onions than egg, the shrimp fried rice had WAY less shrimp than previous ones and the combination platter was disappointing. Due to improper packaging, the prawns and egg rolls were soggy from the teriyaki sauce that was for another appetizer. I forgot the name of the young man I spoke with when I called (2/21 @ 6:06pm), but he was rude and condescending. I no longer live in Macon but my family and friends do. I have and will continue to share this negative experience with them. Getting bad food is understandable, maybe it was an off day. I did not call to request a refund, I was merely calling to express concern. Being rude and nonchalant is not the way to retain customers. Do better Mandarin Garden!
