    Dinning Room

Super casual and reliable spot for when you just have to have your teriyaki bowl. Big portions and good flavor. You will be full and satisfied. Friendly staff and clean dinning room. Take out and dine in friendly. Very solid spot.

I will preface this by saying this is a legitimate review lol. Great service, extremely quick preparation, the food is awesome, the eggrolls are arguably some of the best I've ever had. The large bowls are huge, noodles great, I've had the spicy orange chicken, spicy teriyaki, and chicken katsu and all honestly equally good in their own way. Never eaten inside but the ambiance is chill, may have to pop a squat some time.

I used to LOVE this place when I first moved to atl in 2018. Now ordered thru DOORDASH, the rice was undercooked, it was greasy and very small portion. Very disappointing

    Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl

This place was good in beginning when they first open. Now it's like they aren't putting in any effort. Noodle are over cooked and stick together. The meat just tasted like chicken with siracha. Everyone in there seems to just be bored.

    interior

I'm visiting Georgia and feeling hungry. Luckily I came across this place. The interior looked nice and clean and the service was good. The servers were nice, and the food came quickly. How the restaurant works is you choose protein, then a base (rice or noodles) and then vegetables. My favorite out of what we ordered was the spicy teriyaki chicken; however, everything was pretty good.

This restaurant is really the best kept secret in Atlanta!…read more My family visited here this week for the first time since around 2014 and, despite our fears that it wouldn't live up to the great experience we had then, they EXCEEDED our expectations. We ordered so much and everything was delicious - nothing below an 8/10 in my opinion. We ordered the seafood spring rolls (8/10), crab benigets (8/10 with a special note of originality), and the shrimp appetizer (10/10). Spring rolls- very crispy and flaky, had the "sea floor" variety of seafood inside, flavorful 3 sauces to go with it Crab beignets- a slightly cheesy and airy beignet with a genius crab dip blend. The whole table was surprised on how good it was. Shrimp appetizer- the best "bang bang" shrimp I've had. Shrimps are very large and has a nice fruit salsa to go with. Everyone at the table loved their entrees but I can only truly speak for the ones I tried. Seafood Curry- I will NEVER eat curry anywhere else! I LOVEEEEE THIS CURRY! All the seafood is so fresh, the curry is so flavorful that I literally slurped the rest off my plate. There was also such a variety of veggies in there that were also very fresh and firm (not soggy). For the price especially, you get sooooo much and with such a thoughtful recipe. According to our waitress, it's the only recipe that hasn't changed since the restaurant opened in 2012! Fried chicken - I didn't try the chicken itself, but I did try the Mac and cheese and greens that came with it. Let me tell you, I am very picky about Mac and cheese and this rivals the best Mac and cheese I've had in Atlanta (toast on Lenox)! The greens were also fantastic and flavorful, but a little on the sweet side if that's what your preference is. For dessert, all 4 of us shared one slice of the suspension cake and couldn't even finish it! It was ginormous (literally the size of your head). I won't even go into details- just order it! The ambiance is so intimate and unique- not feeling like an "uptight" boujie restaurant, but curated and thoughtful. They have very nice seating outdoor that is enclosed as well as a beautiful bar area. Lastly, the service is fantastic. I genuinely can't recall my waitresses name, but they speak so highly of the head chef (Calvin) and most have worked there 8+ years, so it really feels like home. I write this review with hesitance because I want this place to remain a secret, but how could I not brag! Book the reservation!

Starting with the service, it was honestly amazing from the door to the table to the bar. Everyone I came in contact with was very hospitable and made our experience great. However, the food was underwhelming. We ordered every single appetizer that our server suggested. I will give them. The appetizers are good with notable mentions for the tuna spoons, the oxtail, spring rolls, and the dumplings. The entrées, though were not my favorite. The filet mignon is more of a beef and broccoli situation and although we knew that it easily gave me a higher end mall Chinese food. The fried rice was extremely dry. We had the lobster and the shrimp. The lobster fried rice had little tomato no lobster in it and for the price it was disappointing. We also got chicken lo mein which probably was the best entrée we had. I will say the drinks are amazing if I had to choose I would probably go back and just get drinks and appetizers. One note for the restaurant, we had the spare ribs which were extremely red on the inside and had a very tangy taste, and unfortunately everyone at my table that had it the next day was running to the restroom. That was the only common denominator we could find. Our food did come out in a timely manner however, some of it was lukewarm, it gives they may make them in batch and bring them out. They came out before our drink. It is very aesthetically pleasing in here. I will give them that. We went on a Friday night and the music was amazing. Good R&B hits!

The restaurant is beautiful, red velvet curtains, baroque flowered wallpaper. The service was excellent. They have a very nice wine, cocktail, and mocktail list. I had the purple rain, light and bubbly. My friend enjoyed her gingery King's Ransom. The menu is Chinese and Asian fusion, and a short list of sushi. Chinese is always meant to be shared. We had the miso truffle salmon and each of the steam buns to start. I thought the salmon was very good, I do not normally like capers, but liked the way they prepared them. The katsu was probably the best of the buns, nicely crispy. The tofu was good a well, with a nice kick, the young one in our group found it too spicy. I would not order the short rib again, it was fine, but I've had much better short rib. We then had the chicken satay, roti canai, and the miso cod. The chicken satay had good flavor, and paired well with the peanut sauce and pickles. I did find it a bit too fatty. The miso cod was perfectly cooked, and the flavor was just right. Note that it is a very small portion. The best dish was the roti, a yellow curry with chicken and veggies with two flaky peice of roti. So good. The star of the meal though was the mango sticky rice, with sorbet and small bits of mochi. This is one of the best versions I've ever had. Do not miss this dessert! The issue I had with our visit is we, a group of three, were seated by the door, which was also near the kitchen door. The seating felt cramped, and every few minutes one of the doors was slamming, which made it a less pleasant experience. There were also several other tables open that we could have been seated at instead.

The place is non-descript and the parking lot is small, but it works. The menu had lots of good options, but is basic at the same time. The place was pretty full on a Saturday around 5:30pm, but there was no line to order at the counter. I got the burrito (bowl or taco are the other options) and filled it with bulgogi. The pineapple soy was amazing and it had the perfect amount of spice. The fries were great as well, with unique seasoning. We also got the Kokuma, which was fried sweet potato. This was a good side for those who didn't get fries with their meal. The service was friendly and we topped off our meal with some Yom ice cream they sold there.

I had never heard of Hankook Taqueria, however the reviews were amazing and the photos made me hungry. LoL! Arriving at Hankook Taqueria, I am so glad I arrived early as the parking lot is very small and fills up very quickly. From the time I arrived until the time E pulled up, 20 minutes had passed and the parking lot was loaded. I knew then that I was in for a treat. Walking into Hankook Taqueria, the establishment is very straightforward. You walk through the door, the food line is in front of you. A few tables and booths to your right. And, the drink machine to your left. Boom! That's it. That's your tour. lol! As I got in line, I already knew what I wanted. Based on the pictures I had viewed on Yelp, I was ready to order. The line moved quickly and we were up to the register in no time. The young lady behind the register was very pleasant. She greeted me with a smile, and was ready for me to place my order. I decided to get the Beef "Bul Gogi" Burrito and Fries. The Beef "Bul Gogi" is beef marinated in a sweet/savory Korean BBQ sauce and served in a burrito wrap with Kimchi Fried Rice and the fixings. Oh yes... I needed this. Of course I decided to get the combo and pair it with fries. OhMyGoodness!!!!! I had no idea that food could be so good. The beef was tender and well seasoned. The Korean BBQ Sauce paired so well with the natural juices of the beef. The Kimchi Rice (my first time having it) was amazing as well. I provided an added texture of chewy goodness. The flavor profile of the rice was a nice balance of savory and heat. The heat wasn't a hot spice but it was a flavor spice that kicked the beef and bbq sauce up a notch. This was a true 10/10. The fries were an experience themselves as well. They were fried to golden perfection and the coating on them made them even better. They weren't too salty nor were they bland, they maintained the natural potato flavor and had the right level of salt to enhance the flavor just enough to make you lick your fingers. All I know is that Hankook Taqueria is the bombbbbbbbb and I am hooked. I have to go back now and try the Beef "Bul Gogi" nachos, quesadilla, and loaded fries. LoL #FeedMe I am so happy I have been introduced to Hankook Taqueria. If you haven't been yet, get there asap.
