Best dumplings that I have EVER had. Ever. I visited Mushi Ni one afternoon while at The Works and when I saw the dumplings, I knew I had to check them out. I initially planned for the bao buns only, but the prices were quite reasonable thanks to the $16 lunch special - so I thought I'd try a bit more. So glad that I did. Mushi Ni has an electronic ordering system which was really easy to navigate. I chose my lunch special and added in my dumplings, and poof - the order was on the way to the kitchen. I walked around the food hall for a few so I don't really know how quickly my order was completed, but when I returned, the guy behind the counter saw me and started bagging it up. I found a seat outside for some natural lighting and started snapping away. I really went to enjoy and share the bao buns but figured I'd have a quick bite of the dumplings and keep it pushing. Listen. WOW. I was immediately taken aback because, what?! They were spicy, so savory and full of pork, with a little punch of lime in there somewhere. I didn't even need to have a second bite before I decided that I *had* to order a second round. Wow. The fries were also phenomenal! Super crunchy, the seasonings on top were such a nice touch. And the trend continued with the fluffy, flavorful bao buns. Seriously just an all-around amazing experience. I thought I'd enjoy their food but this experience exceeded my expectations. Mushi Ni in Inman Park is a great new spot for anyone coming off the beltline looking for a snack. Emphasis on SNACK though, the portions for all dishes are not particularly large, so if you're super hungry, order LOTS. Kind of pricey for the amount of food you get. Bao are taco-shaped rather than encased. Best we had was the brisket, but the cauliflower one was undercooked. Shout out to the Thai tea martini, very yummy! Service was great, and it's very aesthetically pleasing inside. read more

I took my lunch cravings to Mushi Ni, located in Chattahoochee Food Works--or as I like to call it, Hoochie Works. I ordered beef soup dumplings, a bulgogi bao, a tofu katsu bao, what I thought was a chicken bao (we'll get back to this), and a pork belly bao. Plus, I got the majority of their sauces to try because if we're doing a review, we're going all in, right? Starting with the location, it's located in the food hall so you can either choose to sit down, or take it to go (which I did), and the service was great and easy. If you've ever been to the works then you know it's a food hall with a chill atmosphere. Now on to the sauces they have. I went all out and tried eight: truffle sriracha mayo, bang sauce, sweet chili, lemon herb ranch, hoisin BBQ, chili garlic oil, vegan garlic truffle aioli, and sweet hot mustard. Ranking them? Chili garlic oil was the best in my opinion--oily and flavorful. Sweet chili? Classic perfection. Hoisin BBQ was a smidgen salty--probably because of the hoisin, but still hit the mark. Now, about that "chicken" bao--either they discovered some magic pork-flavored and textured chicken, I'm tripping off acid, or they gave me the wrong one because I swear it was shredded pork. Whatever it was, it was okay, but I feel pretty confident that it wasn't chicken. The beef soup dumplings? Delicious, though the soup mostly soaked into the dough by the time I got home--but hey, still flavorful. The tofu katsu bao? Surprisingly awesome, even for someone who doesn't usually go for tofu. The bulgogi bao was solid across all the sauces (and trust me, I tried them all). Now, for the low point: that pork belly bao. I'm particular about pork belly, and this one had a rubbery fat situation going on--it was like chewing on one of those silicone bracelets. So, that was a no for me. But overall, I left full, happy with most of it, and I'll be back--just maybe next time, I'll make sure I'm getting chicken if I order chicken and not question my sanity! read more

Service is great, location is hard to identify given limited outdoor signage, and food was just okay. I expected the flavors to match the presentation but I wasn't necessarily blown away by anything here. The crab Rangoon puffs were more like Brazilian cheese bread with a hint of crab. The shrimp skewers were underwhelming and covered in sweet chili sauce. The beverage was just okay. I probably won't be returning based on how difficult to find parking in this area too but I know that's not within their control. read more

This might be my favorite restaurant of all Atlanta. The place was a vibe, the guy attending us was super kind, we ordered everything he reccomended us. Chili pork dumplings and chicken gyozas were amazing. Perfectly seasoned, great prices. The star of the show for me had to be the Mushi-Ni Fried Chicken. WOW. Was the perfect fusion food, want to travel back to Atlanta just for that and the super refreshing lychee mint lemonade. Feel like it's probably a bar that has nighttime events too as I saw a vinyl dj booth, need to go back and explore for sure! Got our meal to go and the bao is pretty good! Very fluffy and flavorful. I recommend all the options outside of the duck. I usually love duck but the confit wasn't done well at all. It was very unseasoned. Pork belly was absolutely delicious as well as crab. Omg! My bowl was chicken and I wouldn't recommend getting that. I like the soft shell bao here, it's my favorite! The system that they use to put in and alert you to your order was really cool and easy to use. I haven't had anything here yet that I didn't enjoy. I had 5 different baos: Cauliflower Bang (10/10) Crispy Mushroom (9/10) , Tofu Katsu (8/10) , Softshell Crab (10/10) and Hot Honey Shrimp (7/10) and omg were they all delicious and packed with flavor!! I would definitely ge the softshell crab or the cauliflower again and again! I originally only got 3 and they were so good I went back for more! read more

I would give them five stars for the flavor, texture, presentation, but I just cannot justify paying five dollars for one small dish that could easily be 1 bite for some people. I love this place! The food was so good. My tofu bowl was so flavorful and I love the fact I could order via a kiosk since it's located in a food hall. The gentleman behind the counter was kind and patient as we decided to add that refreshing jasmine tea. I wish it came in a bigger cup. It wasn't too sweet and although they had paper straws, they did not turn to paper pulp. With it being a food hall, we were able to eat our snack on the patio and enjoyed our veggie dumplings in the delectable sauce. Scallions must be your friend if you order the dumplings and it blessed my tastebuds. The chicken bowl was great with the additional greens. It was very filling and we both took a doggie bag because it was so much food. I'll be back my next time I venture towards Howell Mill. read more

I had one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing experiences of my life here this evening. I've lived in Inman Park for over 20 years and have never encountered anything like this. I've actually visited several times since they opened (at least 5 visits), and up until tonight, it had always been a great atmosphere with good vibes. Unfortunately, tonight completely changed my perception. My friends and I arrived and found that there were no seats available inside. The hostess let us know there might be a wait, but outside seating was first come, first serve as long as we ordered from the bar. That was totally fine with us, so we went to the bar, where the bartender was friendly and took our order without issue. Shortly after, a man approached us and abruptly told us we couldn't stand at that end of the bar, claiming it was for seating--even though there were no seats or chairs there at the time. He moved us to another area where drinks were being prepared, which already felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. We eventually took our drinks outside and waited for our food. While we were sitting there, the same man came over again and pointed out a drink on the table that had been brought from a neighboring restaurant, telling us we couldn't have it there. We immediately got rid of it and explained that we had already ordered food and drinks from the bar, so we were complying with their policy. Things seemed fine after that--our food and drinks arrived, and we enjoyed them without issue. However, as we were getting ready to leave, the situation escalated. The same man came outside visibly upset because someone in my group mentioned how rude he had been earlier. Instead of handling it professionally, he began arguing with her. He then falsely accused us of smoking weed outside, which absolutely did not happen--no one in our group had lit or smoked anything. He went on to claim he was the owner and threatened to call the police on all of us. We told him to go ahead, as we had done nothing wrong. Whether he is actually the owner or just a staff member, this behavior was completely unacceptable. I've been supporting this establishment since its pop-up days when it was Little Trouble, which makes this even more disappointing. This is not how customers should be treated, and unfortunately, this experience has completely changed how I view this place read more

We came here for a food adventure last night. Then we realized that this fine establishment was located inside "The Chattahoochee Food Works".This was the first time we heard of this cool gem. They have a huge selection of Baos. We tasted the Katsu Tofu, Cauliflower, Pork Belly and the chicken. The Katsu Tofu & Cauliflower blew my mind! It wasn't spicy like it said in their menu which was absolutely fine for me due to the absolutely tasty perfection! The hubby & our friend LOVED the pork belly Bao but, we're disappointed with the chicken bao. Come here hungry and bring a bag! Go check out each food establishment and taste the different flavors of the melting pot cultures! There are plenty of seating areas, two main bars and they even have clothing stores inside. The bathrooms were clean which was huge plus. Plenty of parking and the first 2 hours are free. We will be back soon for sure!!! read more

I love the Chattahoochee food works location and they've always been super accommodating with my dietary restrictions (gluten free and veg). I have been able to get the bang bang cauliflower and katsu tofu gluten free and fried separately to avoid cross contact in my rice bowl. I was very excited to try the new Inman Park location, however the server had no idea gluten free meant and upon asking they really weren't able to do much other than a salad on the menu that was just okay. I know the Inman park location is brand new, but I really hope they are able to accommodate gluten free next time (particularly those with allergies). read more

This location is at The Works Westside Food Hall. It's been a pop-up in other locations around the city but same great food. I had never eaten bao buns before and what a treat. Everything is fresh, tasty and seasoned well. The tender, steamed buns, dumplings and rice bowl have heaping amounts of protein. We tried the beef brisket and duck confit. The tea drinks and apple soda are great compliments to the meal. It's a walk up counter with really nice demeanors that will explain the menu in detail. The Works Food Hall is a fun, upbeat atmosphere with several stalls that have counters to sit and eat. If not, there's seating outside on the perimeter of the building and the enclosed patio. Mushi Ni is a 10/10, I would go again and as often as I could. They have a really good selection of vegetarian and vegan items, I got the mushroom, sweet & sour beyond, and cauliflower baos, as well as the loaded Tokyo fries with garlic chili eggplant on top. The Little Trouble location is harder to find since it's not street facing but located within the complex. Try to find the signs or call them because they're very nice! For dessert, I never pass up the chance to eat fried oreo and these were so soft and warm and a great way to end the meal. read more

I actually came to this location accidentally. I was looking for the East Atlanta location but ended up at this one off of Howell Mill Rd, and am glad. It's tucked away in the shopping center, across from Shake Shack and Flower Child, and down the stairs where you'll see bright red and blue neon lights. I was quickly seated on a Friday night and was able to order quickly as well. I ordered the Brisket Drunken Noodles to go and they were phenomenal! I will definitely be back. It's super cute and trendy. A great place for date night, a night out with friends, or if you're about that life solo dolo. And there's a bunch of other spots in the area to check out. read more

I was visiting from out of town and ended up in this place with plenty of food options. This one caught my attention because of the bao buns. I wish I took pictures of the food but it probably wouldn't do any justice because it was all about the taste. The guy at the cashier was super helpful and patient with me because I couldn't decide what I wanted. I ended up buying 2 bao buns and a pork belly bowl. What ever seasoning they use to get all that flavor within that bowl needs to be bottled and sold because it was so good. I wish I bought another bowl. The quantity of food in the bowl was fair for the price of $16. The bao buns I got which were the soft crab shell and the brisket was also really good. We decided on this spot after a few failed attempts to find a spot to eat...look at God! One of the people in our party suggested this spot...I love them! The entrance looks like something from a John Wick movie- dope! The menu is mostly small shareable plates and we SHARED!
