So this is in the battery in a food hall that's kind of tucked away. But it's still pretty good. You can't really go wrong with this area and you especially can't go wrong with this food Hall. It's not big like you would find in krog Street market, But it's still solid and it's still good. You will come into the battery and you'll park somewhere and it is a short walk from everything else in the battery district. You do have to pay to park though so just keep that in mind. It's not like you're going to go ahead and stop and eat here for an hour for free. Well you actually may because a lot of times on the battery the first couple hours are free so never mind LOL. I like this specific food hall situation because everybody so close since it's very small and you can talk to the bartenders at the bar while you are waiting for your food. Everybody is super nice and super friendly there. In any event, I got the Spicy tan tan and it was damn good. I got some extra chicken and some extra vegetables in mine but it came pretty spicy even though it wasn't actually spicy. So you can select if you want spice on the menu but this didn't need any. I would definitely suggest giving it a shot because I have quite a few other things that you can try as well.

I ordered the Angry Zuko, without the egg & Bean Sprouts & added chicken. I assumed (which is on me), that the broth would be creamy, but it wasn't. It wasn't bad, it was just a bit greasy. The flavor was tasty and the corn was sweet, which is a plus in my book lol. Unfortunately the chicken was DRYYY, but expected from chicken breast. I also ordered the veggie spring rolls, which were tasty hot & fresh! And you get 5 pretty big ones! Overall the service was nice, the food was decent but I'd much rather visit a ramen restaurant. Nothing against the restaurant, I think there would just be more options available. But the vibe is nice if you like food hall's, but the price was just a bit too high for my liking.
Of Course the Battery is an amazing experience overall! However this restaurant is a must come to! I love watching Naruto so of course I'm going to eat ramen. This bowl is to die for! ( Not literally ). The waiter was very respectful and knowledgeable. He even helped us create a kids ( build your own ) chicken ramen bowl. We enjoyed eating outside with fresh air soaking up the lively energy! Thank you for the food!
Delicious pork gyoza! Great size to snack on. My son and I tried their beef pho. It was our first time and it was pretty good. One order was more than enough for my son and I to share. We could not finish it all!
I was in the mood for ramen and saw that Lifting Noodles was open until 10pm, so I decided to check them out. The restaurant is located in the Ph'East food hall in the Battery. It was pretty slow so I was able to walk right up and place my order. I ordered the chicken ramen and a Thai tea. The tea was already pre made in the fridge. My food was prepared quickly. I'll just say that the ramen did not satisfy my ramen craving. It was bland and cold.

My review is solely based on the vegetarian ramen which was flavorless, unfortunately. It came with a good amount of veggies but the broth was water, no flavor at all. The cooks were nice enough to give me some sesame oil & a chili paste to help it so wouldn't be a total waste of money. The additions did help but it shouldn't take all the extra to give ramen flavor. Perhaps their ramens that have meat are more rich & flavorful but the veggie ramen is garbage. For my vegan / vegetarians I'd recommend Jinya's vegan ramen which is very good, don't waste your coin here.
Love the option to build your own bowl - we've been a few times and everything we've had has been tasty! Typically service is quick, and you'll only wait about 10 minutes for your meal. We especially Love making the broth spicy - it adds a great flavor without being overpowering! Ph'east is a great spot to grab lunch with tons of options for groups to pick what they want and grab a drink at Taps.
Very disappointing! The noodles had 0 spice or flavor. Just reddish color and the broth tasted like water. I'm not sure how this qualifies as ramen! The place was also a little tough to locate. They also charged $5 for takeout cutlery and paperware, which was not properly closed and spilled all over our vehicle on the ride home. I will not be returning.
I honestly thought I had the best ramen in Atlanta a few months ago; however, on Wednesday, October 18 I went to this restaurant and had the most delicious, most flavorful, most filling ramen experience ever. The spicy tan tan ramen was excellent! I don't even know how to fully put the taste into words. Just know it was delicious and an absolutely perfect portion that does fill you up! I will be returning to the battery to get this exact meal again and again. I receive my meal fairly quickly. It was a Wednesday so it wasn't super busy.

My only 2 complaints are it wasn't hot (temperature wise) and the noodles were a little too firm for my liking. Almost like if the broth had been hotter the noodles would have been a little softer. I would certainly go back and just ask for my food to be a little hotter.
Excellent ramen with all the right toppings and a spice that has a nice kick. With got the tan tan ramen and it did not disappoint. The pork broth that great flavor with a nice creamy consistency which is desired in ramen. Located in Ph'east food hall for convenience right by Truist park and with so many other options nearby whats not to like? If you are in the area, do try this spot.
This Amazing Asian Foodie Market had me in a choke hold for 3 days straight! I ate at every single tiny storefront for 3 days. To be clear The Battery has many food options over 15 to choose from so with that said This place was amazing! I ordered the chicken ramen it came wit pickled ginger, crispy seaweed, corn and a perfectly cooked egg. The broth was the star of the bowl. I literally bent my head 2 inches above a barely cleaned surface just to slurp the broth out of the bowl. I don't know how this restaurant was able to elevate such an inexpensive meal but it was EVERYTHING!
This place is a solid ramen spot located in the battery area in an open concept restaurant. It's a pretty cool spot with a bar located in the center surrounded by 6 or so other food spots. I have now been here a few times and each time service is just ok and this is really based on the front counter help because I have talked to the guy making the ramen a few times and he is totally nice. Making this change would make a huge difference. The other night was a great example. Walked up the employee didn't even make eye contact at all...ordered my food no thank or anything. Sat down and waited a solid 20+ minutes which was odd for this place. But the food was so delicious and had great flavors. Everything I have tried so far has really been solid and has great flavors. My favorite has to be their crispy brussel sprouts and their spicy tan tan ramen noodles. Hoping on my next visit they fix the front counter help and this place would go to a 5 star.

Lifting Noodles Ramen was one of my favorite food stops at The Battery. It's not your typical sit-down restaurant--it's located inside a food hall with several different food vendors, which makes it a fun place to explore if everyone in your group wants something different. I ordered the Tonkatsu Chicken (Black) Ramen Bowl, and honestly, my daughter was the one who wanted it. After tasting it, I completely understood why! The broth was rich, flavorful, and comforting, the noodles had the perfect texture, and the chicken was tender and delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor. The service was quick and friendly, and even with the food hall atmosphere, everything was organized and easy to navigate. If you're visiting The Battery and craving a great bowl of ramen, Lifting Noodles is definitely worth checking out. I wasn't expecting it to be this good, but I'd order that Tonkatsu Chicken (Black) Ramen Bowl again in a heartbeat. read more
I love this spot. This was my second time here, and they have very flavorful Ramen broth, but more importantly their pork does not taste gamey like at a lot of other places, which is honestly my determining factor and whether I like a Ramen spot or not. I personally find that too many Ramen spots have pork that tastes gamey and I'm not a fan of that. They add a lot of toppings into their Ramen as well that are already included so you don't have to do too many add-ons & pay extra like some other places because those are things that should just automatically already be included in my opinion! Huge portions so if you aren't too hungry you can share with someone or take half home! read more

Great place for some good ramen! Ordering on the kiosk makes it simple to customize your order just the way you like it and since it's food hall style dining you just order, pay, grab your food when it's ready and pick a seat. Came here on a random Thursday and ordered the Spicy Tan Tan Ramen without seaweed (my preference). 10/10 recommend. Absolutely delicious! The spot was located inside a small food hall with about 4 other take out food services. There was seating inside and outside, though the standing heaters were not on outside (there was a covering outside with heaters on the ceiling but only covered about two tables). The overall Covid precautions in ATL are revolting and seeing so many people without masks sucks but they do have signs saying that masks should be worn. The one hand sanitizer stand I saw did not have any alcohol in it. This isn't unique to this location FYI. Would definitely return though and maintain all social distance and Covid precautions I will say seeing the cook without a hair bet definitely was a turn off. I've never seen that. Did I check my food to make sure no hair had dropped in? Absolutely read more

Certainly a little on the pricey side, but you're at the Battery, so that is expected! I got the Village Classic bowl which is a pork tonkatsu broth filled with all the standard ramen items. A plus is there was no additional charge for the egg, as it true for many other ramen places. The bowl was huge and plenty filling, not just all broth with a few noodles and very small pieces of everything else. It was worth what you paid for it, considering the location. Next time, if I'm looking to nibble rather than eat, I will definitely try the brussels sprouts - they sound amazing! read more

It was ok. Starting off with the cashier guy, he was so underwhelmed that I wanted to order ramen from them, but whatever, you don't have to love your job... However, next thing I knew, my ramen was charged extra when I asked them to make my ramen extra spicy, and again when you order takeout for "plastic ware(?)" for to-go orders? Which is pretty much just for the heck of charging you because they give you a plastic spoon and chopsticks when you eat there anyways. Why! The best part of ramen is to eat the noodles with the broth, but a small ahh plastic spoon (vs the traditional ramen scoop spoon you usually given when you eat in-house) was a joke. I got the chicken ramen. Too much ginger IMO, the broth was also thick, not like typical soupy broth, and the lack of a ladle spoon was a drag, but the chicken... like literal pieces of chicken was good. I'd say the broth wasn't terrible either, but after paying extra to make my ramen spicy (literally asked for the spice level to make me cry lol yes, I came for the flavor).......... not spicy. I usually eat my ramen to the bottom, broth and all, but the bottom was thick and gunky, probably from excessive ginger, and I didn't care for it at all. I also came half-full, so not very hungry, yet still ate all of it if that tells you anything about portion size. Otherwise, the atmosphere was pretty cool. Live music, accessible bar, and other Asian cuisines right there in the food court space. Cool concept. I grabbed a oolong milk tea at the KungFu Tea boba spot in the same area, in schmedium size (medium is their smallest size but it's definitely a small) that cost $18. I added classic boba and aloe Vera jelly, which took up half the cup with no ice, so I'd hate to have ordered it with ice and had a total of three sips total. Also ok. Some places let you choose sweetness level or things like that, I didn't see that option and mine wasn't very sweet/good. I was in and out in under an hour, paid $40 for both, a sub par dining experience. read more

Absolutely good eats !!!! So , my friend and I both came to this booth with the intentions of good ramen. Never the least we were impressed starting from the welcoming hosts , the chef prepping and preparing our food , and the quality of the food . We both ordered chicken ramen , extra spicy and shrimp for me . The bowl was flavorful , robust aroma , and a healthy size portion . I admired how they don't short you on the protein , and how the veggies are quite plentiful . Another visit coming soon ' Bravo read more

Where do I start... hmmm.. how about ... Disappointing??? One of us actually said let's hold hands when they went and back from picking up the bowls of noodles... n.. I like ok.. She then said.. ok let's pray.. I like oh no.. Why? wait?? No egg?? Where was the half egg? Or was it not supposed to come with egg? I read up on ingredients, it should come with half an egg.. None of our ramen came with the egg. Then another went back to the stall, and back with a bowl with 3 half eggs. I started eating.. ayyyy.. why was the broth luke warm? The meat (though tasty) was cold according to one of us. I blurted I would drown those meat inside the lukewarm broth. Then I was told "you can't put something cold in something cold to make it hot". Ugh!! The generous two stars here was because the meat was tasty (though cold) and the broth has the potential to be better if it was served piping hot. Not likely to return. Not worth my time and drive here. read more

Lifting noodles is a ramen shop located in Ph'east at the Atlanta Battery. It has many eastern style food and desserts with long tables in the middle. I got the tonkotsu black ($15) on a Monday evening. The place wasn't crowded, and the food came out quick within 10~15 minutes. The broth was hot and flavorful. Although the price is a bit high, it came with lots of noodles and vegetables, neatly presented in the bowl. The pork was tender and juicy. Overall, pretty good ramen option in the area! read more

This is definitely a great spot for grabbing a bowl of ramen . I always go with the chicken ramen dish. It always satisfies & hits the spot . I always accompany it with a beer from the bar right across the food court. There's a lot of tasty ramen options to select from. Definitely worth a try. read more

Actually learned about this place during my first Yelp Elite event where I was invited to try Lifting Noodles off of Flat Shoals Rd. This location sits in an Asian eatery at the Battery and has live music on certain nights (I think). There's a vast amount of seating and even a bar at the front where I think they offer tons of local beers which is always good. The vibe isn't too dive-y but just enough for a group of friends to come get something to eat and listen to a live performer over some sushi or in my case, Ramen. I got my favorite, the Angry Zuko ramen bowl that include a spicy pork broth with all of the fixings. I also got the Gyoza, which is filled with pork and comes with a dark sesame soy sauce. I got the green tea to wash it all down. A little pricey but it's very good and the food comes out fast. You can sit outside in the open and people watch or inside and catch the latest sports channel. Very neat spot to try on this side of Atlanta. read more

"Love it" I visited during lunch with my wife. Love the fast-casual atmosphere. While standing in the line I was able to clearly see the menu to decide on what I wanted. While waiting in line I looked around the food court to see the serving portion of ramen. I was kind of disappointed to see that the portion wasn't what I thought it would be for $11. But I decided to give it a try anyway. Besides, $11 for a bowl of ramen is not bad. I would say it's kind of the average price these days. My wife got the Spicy Zuko Ramen and I got the Village Classic Ramen. It was pretty busy, but we received our food in about 10 minutes. For ramen, my go-to things are taste and temperature of broth and noodle texture throughout the meal. I think this place has checked all of my criteria. The broth was rich and flavorful. Its temperature was warm. I'd say it's acceptable for ramen (not an expert - just my preference). And the best part of all - the noodles stayed al dente throughout the meal. Very important to me. Because some places I've been to who state they specialize in ramen - got this part disappointingly wrong. Makes me sad to eat soggy noodles :( Yes - thank you Lifting Noodle Ramen for being 5 miles from my house and making a good bowl of ramen. Disappointed!! I wanted to like Lifting Noodle Ramen but couldn't. First of all, I ordered chicken ramen. Then I walked over to Snackboxe Bistro to order chicken curry puffs. Lastly, I walked over to Poke Burri to talk to my coworker who was still in line to order. He gets his poke bowl before my food. The chicken curry puffs was done before the ramen. I was shocked. I ate one curry puff and then the buzzer goes off to get the ramen. First of all, the soup is just lukewarm. Noodles was tasteless. I asked for spicy and there was no spice at all! The broth tasted like polluted water. Too much ginger in the soup. The way it was sliced, I thought it was bamboo. The meat was decent but I will not spend $11 for it ever again. I really really want to like this place. Mainly because I worked around here and good Ramen place is at least 20 minutes drive away on good traffic day. This a a food court style eatery. Cashier was very friendly, wasn't very fast, but friendly. Ramen options are fairly standard; classic Tonkotsu, black, spicy, etc. I ordered the Tonkotsu black for $1 more than the classic. When I collected my ramen, I can't really tell which is my order. The reason? There is maybe one teaspoon of black garlic oil. Can't taste it, can't smell it. Not sure where my $1 went. My first sip of the soup base is as disappointing. The soup is at most lukewarm . After that it's just one disappointment after another. I'm just going to list it: * broth is lukewarm. * hardly any black garlic oil * chashu is cold - literally cold like out of the fridge cold * egg is cold - see chashu * noodle is just warm. I ate enough to write this review and hopefully not get sick. I guess driving 20 minutes is better than food poisoning. read more

At the newly opened Asian food hall at the Battery. Got the original with make it black extra $1 charge. It had a very deep and flavorful broth. Meat was not salty like other ramen places I tried. Didnt get to try the original place at the East Atlanta Village and now I want to go try the original place. I loved this more than other places here (except poke burri) read more

A little pricey but well worth it. I got the chicken and it was very tasty. Also got the Thai iced tea which was very good. Definitely recommend. read more
