The food tasted good and the portion size was filling. For ~15 dollars I got the Spicy Teriyaki Chicken with Yakisoba Noodles and Stir Fried Veggies. The order came with a 2oz cup of Spicy Teriyaki Sauce to pour over the chicken, noodles, and veggies. I felt full about 80% of the way through but the food tasted good enough for me to finish the whole thing. The food was properly spicy. The service was friendly and did not take too long to get my order ready. The food was hot and stayed hot as I walked home 10 minutes in the cold. It was served to-go in a plastic container in a brown paper bag. They had chopsticks available to grab and the order came with a fork and a napkin. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that they did not provide a cup of water when I requested one, and it was this lack of a cup of water that was the reason I walked home to eat instead of eating in the restaurant. The food was pretty good, but the portion was incredibly small. I paid almost $15 for the small size after taxes. I ordered ahead and was able to take my food right away. I ordered during the week on my lunch break. There was a line of people who were waiting and a large group who also looked like they were on their lunch breaks sitting inside at the tables & chairs. The staff was friendly and spoke loud enough for me to hear them. They have a single step to get inside of the restaurant, otherwise the inside is 100% wheelchair accessible Overall this isn't a bad place to do lunch, just be prepared to spend your money. read more

Was looking for a vegan option in the area and I'm really glad this place exists. A few blocks away from the RU campus. But I built my own bowl with the white rice, spicy tofu & vegetables. Really good price for the portion size. Taste was also good, not that bad! It definitely was spicy, so be aware of that. This is thee absolute most Americanized Asian-like food you'll have. Most store-front Chinese spots use highly processed and sugar-loaded manufactured sauces. Nothing from scratch. This falls in line, with the masses, although it's seasoned pretty damn well! Or at least the Orange Chicken that I had was. Now, is it Orange Chicken HELL NO! But it's tasty. Want a decent priced authentic Chinese food experience, try Bill and Harry's in Maplewood. You won't be disappointed. This wasn't bad. But nothing I'd EVER crave. They are all over Jersey so I thought it had to be a hit or a miss. I went with all things I was comfortable with, chicken teriyaki, orange chicken, edamame, crab rangoon, egg rolls. All gave the impression by taste and presentation that it had been sitting out for a while. The one thing I did order that was fine was the white rice. Okay this place has a low rating and i guess because it has not to many reviews but I was introduced to this place by a friend. I've seen it a couple times but never bothered to go because i thought i was like any other teriyaki spot. We ordered the chicken teriyaki but the guy messed up one of the orders and made one spicy chicken. It wasn't a big deal i took the spicy one only because i love spicy food. I have to say it was pretty damn good and i fore the food up. I wasn't expecting it to be all that but it wasn't bad at all for a teriyaki place. I was in the barbershop when a couple of their employees came in and was telling everyone about the new spot that was having a grand opening and was welcoming everyone to come try them out. They also had bags of different bowls that they were giving away and for us to taste and try. I must say I was pleasantly surprised that the food tasted as good as it did. They gave me a BBQ chicken breast and rice bowl that was very good. Sauce was tasty. They rice wasnt overcooked and the chicken had a nice sear on it. They also gave extra sauce just in case you needed to dip or pour on. Hopefully they wont charge for the extra sauce. Also had the teriyaki chicken and veggies which I would definitely go back for. Love the sauce it had on it and the veggies even though I'm not a big veggie fan I ate them. Lastly they had in the bag a breaded chicken which was the least of my favorite. Chicken was a little dry and didnt have any seasoning on it but they get a pass because they just opened and it's a trial and error going forward. I would recommend this spot if you in the downtown Newark area for a quick bit for lunch. Prices are reasonable and comparable to all the fast food joints in the area. I'll check back on them in a few months or when I'm downtown getting my hair cut to see if they improve on the breaded chicken to see if they read their reviews and take recommendations from their customers. If there was a way to give them negative stars I would.. The manager there is terrible!!! They forgot to put one of my entrees in my delivery bag and tried to blame the doordash driver.. This place is horrible I will never order from them again.. And that manager should be fired, he was the worse.. I called them to get the problem fixed and he couldn't care less..
