Spicy Orange Chicken Bowl (small)
Brianna W.

The food was pretty good, but the portion was incredibly small. I paid almost $15 for the small size after taxes. I ordered ahead and was able to take my food right away. I ordered during the week on my lunch break. There was a line of people who were waiting and a large group who also looked like they were on their lunch breaks sitting inside at the tables & chairs. The staff was friendly and spoke loud enough for me to hear them. They have a single step to get inside of the restaurant, otherwise the inside is 100% wheelchair accessible Overall this isn't a bad place to do lunch, just be prepared to spend your money.

Spicy Tofu Bowl

First time trying this place. I ordered the spicy tofu bowl with noodles, yaki style. I love spicy food so much, but this bowl had me breathing fire. I had to drink so much water because the spice level was unreal. I started getting dizzy from it that I just didn't finish my food even though I was still hungry. The food was good but I couldn't be sure because of how spicy it was. Next time I will have to ask for light spice.

Was looking for a vegan option in the area and I'm really glad this place exists. A few blocks away from the RU campus. But I built my own bowl with the white rice, spicy tofu & vegetables. Really good price for the portion size. Taste was also good, not that bad! It definitely was spicy, so be aware of that. It took a while to get the food so maybe I'd call before hand next time and order if possible. Overall though, I'd definitely be back here again and I'm excited this options is around!

This was my second time trying them. I ordered The Spicy Chicken Bowl with white rice and veggies. The meat was over cooked and the white rice was very under cooked. I will not eating there again. The first time I ordred the meat was also overcooked. I had it with noodles. The noodles were ok. Not a lot of flavor though. My friend ordered Teriyaki Chicken and it was pretty dry and overcooked.

Wasn't horrific but it wasn't delightful either. Might as well hit up your local Chinese restaurant. Quality seemed to be on par. Dreadful looking orange chicken and steak. Not particularly juicy, tender or flavorful.

This unexpected combo actually works so well! *Taro French Toast with Boba $16.5 ** If this is your first time here, ORDER THE FRENCH TOAST. I literally get it every time--the milk tea French toast is perfectly brûléed and topped with taro paste, boba, whipped cream, and salted egg yolk bits. All my favorites in one bite. *Taiwanese Braised Pork Belly $16 * Fatty and full of gelatin, giving that sticky-lips feeling after eating it. I love that their lu rou fan comes with a soft-boiled ramen egg instead of a hard boiled one, and the pickled mustard greens on the side are my favorite part. *Taiwanese Milk Crumb Toast $5 New item! The Korean bacon was ok, but the rice needs work (definitely doesn't reheat well)- lots of rice. The pork chop was better in the past. Diners and costumers like…read moreme praise the authentic homestyle dishes, standout flavors, generous portions, and exceptionally very friendly and warm service, though some of my companions note a plain ambiance and higher price points ( for me their pleasing food quality and taste outweighs the price ). The Chicken Sisig, Palabok, pork BBQ and sizzling Biko with ice cream are a must-try from the food menu. The appetizers, like the piping hot vegetable lumpia and their humongous portion of Halo-halo as dessert are highly recommended by me and other reviewers. When we dined at this place, the whole staff gave me a feeling as if I was eating at an aunt's house, with the owner and staff providing very welcoming, family-style care. I have been living in NY for more than 30 years, have already eaten in so many low and high-end Filipino restaurants, in terms of food quality and taste, I may say this by far is the best that I have experienced. If given the chance to be in New Jersey again, I will definitely, 100% be back to this place for their delicious and flavorful food. Some of my companions point out that the seating area is relatively small, which can lead to limited availability during peak times, and a few note the interior decor is fairly plain but it did not matter to me because the food that I ordered/tried were great and amazing (properly spiced, cooked very well and soooooooo delicious!! ). Food portions are generous, presentation was appetizing and excellent, staff service was attentive and great ( I noticed that our water glasses were always filled up which is a service very consistent in so many high-priced restaurants that I have been ). Table setting is good, food utensils and plates were very clean ( yes, I checked it! ). I am extremely satisfied with my food experience and the hospitality of the owner and their staff in this Filipino restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE!!!

Service wasn't that great and we were the only customers there at the time then other guest staggered in . I'm all for restaurants thriving and always wish them luck but holy cow prices are crazy average appetizers are $16.50 or more and entree dishes are $25 or more for serving sizes and flavors are really lacking in a lot of dishes . Lechon was cut thinner not the usual big chunks and the oil tasted old and was greasy . Sinigang with the Baboy was very underwhelming the Baboy wasn't boiled down enough . The sisig has too much of a soy sauce taste and way too much mayo on top . The chicharron bulaklak was okay could have used a bit more seasoning and seemed to be a popular item that day . The BBQ stick was decent but not for $18 . Being Filipino myself I know everyone has their own way of making certain dishes so people may like it but in my opinion I've had better at a few other spots . Wishing them all the best .

The vibe is nice but the food just does'nt wow me. We particularly choose Tinjune because of its proximity to the arena. Moreover, it's a convenient place for us to meet since we are coming from all over the tri-state area. Parking can be a little tough but it's doable. The establishment seems to be a mixture of a sports lounge and restaurant, offering a casual fare of entertainment including boozy brunch, opportunities to watch a game on their TVs, or simply catch up with friends over drinks. The menu features Asian fusion dishes with some caribbean and soul food influences. During our first visit in July, we stopped by during brunch. It was a lively vibe with a great live DJ, mature crowd, and an eclectic menu. We were seated at a booth in the corner of the dining area which was also in the way of sunlight. In addition, the fans above were not working which made the area hot. Nonetheless, we sat thru it as the alternative seating being offered was no better. We skipped appetizers and got straight to entrees. I ordered the General Tso Chicken with white rice along with water. It was'nt bad but it also was'nt great. Visually, the chicken was swimming in a lot of sauce. Moreover, the sauce was watery. The chicken seemed to be cuts of breast that were tossed in a sweet chili-like sauce, perhaps sautéed since the texture was mostly soft. I wish it had been fried first then tossed in the sauce to give it better texture. I liked the texture on the broccoli, it was cooked with a slight crunch just the way I like. When paired with the soft, white rice, things came together nicely. Fast forward to our most recent visit in November. On this visit, I decided to dive into the menu a bit more and have an appetizer and entree. To start off, I had the Thai Chili wings. They were delicious and prepared well. The wings had a nice crispy exterior and juicy flesh. The sauce was sticky and coated the wings well, just like I prefer. For the entree, I went for the Wok Stir fry consisting of Lo Mein and steak. Again, the meal was swimming in a lot of sauce. For me, Lo Mein should have a little sauce to it but this was more like soupy gravy. I could literally use my spoon to scoop out the sauce and sip it which altogether, makes the meal soggy over time. The veggies were bright and prepared nicely but I was'nt a fan of the steak. It tasted as if it was thrown in at the last minute, so there wasn't much texture or seasoning to it. A little more sear to it would've been perfect. In terms of service, that was ok. Some periods of our dining experience were slow and we struggled to get our servers attention at times. Pricing was fair and the portions reflected a good value but they charge 15% automatic gratuity and a surcharge for using your card which I'm not a fan of. Overall, I've had ok experiences. I was not thoroughly impressed by the food but it hit the spot in the moment. I would return for the convenience, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit nor would I immediately recommend to others.

I had seen this restaurant a couple of times so decided to give them a try. It is a small place, with four tables that seat four people, and a couple that seat two. One of the side walls is covered with printouts of a number of the dishes, which can be helpful for those that don't know what some of the dishes look like. There is only one person working both the register and the tables, so patience is appreciated here. Did I mention earlier that I was cold? We walked over from the parking lot under the highway (free on Saturday nights) and was very chilled by the time we entered. Cold and hungry, we ordered lamb with cumin and ma la pot chicken. My companion ordered snow pea tips and vegetable mei fun. To start, we split an order of pan fried vegetable dumplings. The waitress checked to be sure that we wanted all that food for two people-the ma la pot chicken alone is big enough to split between two people (or one VERY hungry person). Reassuring her that we wanted all that food, we settled down to wait. The dumplings came out first, and we are still trying to decide what the filling was comprised of. Carrots, cabbage and....daikon? Not sure, but it was delicious and increased our expectation for the rest of the meal. Next came the ma la pot chicken and I immediately understood why she wanted to confirm our order. I definitely was not finishing all of that in one sitting. The chicken had some lovely crunchy bits around the edges and while the dish itself is dry, the chicken was not. The ma la flavor filled my mouth and warmed my stomach. Lamb with cumin is a great dish to pair with rice, and half a bowl of rice was gone before I even blinked. My companion noted that their vegetable mei fun was flavorful and not oily although the snow pea tips could have been more tender. Overall, the meal was flavorful and a prefect choice on a cold night. I need to come back here and try out a couple more dishes that I usually order, and try a new one or two (spicy and sour potato, shredded???). Yes please!!
