We stopped by here during our spring break this year, it hides next to a gas station, was bit of hesitate how the taste would be look like. We ordered online so there wasn't choice to back out. It was a total surprise. Food was great! My kids somehow didn't like vegetables during this trip, but they ate them all here (broccoli and cabbage , etc..), favor of the food were rich and savory! After seeing some lower reviews I was skeptical to try. But let me just say, some of the best teriyaki chicken I've ever had! The fried rice was the perfect texture, the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Everything was seasoned so well and cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy and had a great char! The service was good, very nice people and let us know there would be a wait. That is my only positive remark. I don't know if it was just a mix of the food being cooked, but it smelled like old mop water at our table. Order was $50+, 2 drinks, 2 egg rolls (combo options) 2 regular bowls (steak and salmon). My wife and I each got fried rice and veggies. The salmon was near jerkey, portion was maybe an ounce and a half, the steak looked and tasted similar to steak'um, texture was fatty and chewy. May have had a 1/4 cup each of bland fried rice and frozen mixed veggies. We also got crab ragoon, very little filling. If you are in the exit 9 area off 77 in Princeton and want Japanese, go to Kimono. You may wait a little longer but you'll pay nearly the same, much higher quality food and better portions for what you pay. This was complete garbage. read more

We have been to the one in Fairmont several times and loved it but I was so sad to find out this one was not the same. We ordered online and were even a few minutes late picking up and still had to wait an additional 15+ minutes to get our food. The rice was mushy, the teriyaki chicken was good though. The 2 protein bowl is $15 which would be worth it if they actually gave you any amount of meat. My "2nd protein" was 5 tiny pieces of orange chicken. The egg roll tasted day old. If I could give it zero stars I would. I understand wait time to an extent. Person at the register said wait time would be about 20 minutes. It took closer to 60 minutes to get 3 bowls, one being a jr size. Now for the price Is a pretty expensive for the quality of food. The proteins were steak, spicy chicken, and chicken. Chicken bowls were pretty much jerky like. So overcooked with fatty bits it would dry your mouth out. Steak was thinly sliced with mostly fat in it. Honestly, mystery meat from the carnival was better than what was served in our bowls. Now for the veggies, carrots tasted fine but the rest of the veggies tasted like they were still raw with a little hint of mold. One bowl has brown rice, tasted like barley or cardboard. Another bowl was fried rice, tasted bland, greasy and oily. The final bowl was noodles, the noodles were dripping in oil. The bottom of all bowls had about half of an inch of oil at the bottom. We ate less than 10 bites before we threw it away and left. After leaving within 10 minutes we all felt sick (gut churning). If you are absolutely wanting teriyaki whatever there a better options, in Princeton. There is Yummy Japan, kimonos, and others, you just have to search for. They will not make you sick or have as much grease and the price you pay will be worth the quality of food you are getting. read more

When I saw 2.5 stars for this restaurant, I was hesitant to stop there, but the written reviews did not match up with the stars: "food is great"; "delivery time is terrible." It was mid-afternoon and not busy when I arrived, still, it took 30 minutes to get my food order because of online orders ahead of my in-person order. Once our food arrived, I realized the issue: every meal is freshly prepared, and they were perfection! We were glad we stopped to eat there! An employee confirmed it is true that they freshly prepare all food, including the sauces that are on the tables! I will definitely eat there again, but I will order twenty minutes ahead through the App. The restaurant is clean and pleasant. Seating, tables, drinks, and utensil access are fast food style, so there is no issue with ordering ahead and staying to eat. Employees are pleasant and helpful. Trying to order through the website before I came was useless; the app is easier. I would advise them to address their process: perhaps a designated person/cook for online orders and another for in-store orders so the in-store orders are more timely. read more
