Very nice, clean and relaxing atmosphere. The waitress was friendly and prompt. Our food was delicious and came in timely manner. Plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant.

Quick, delicious, and friendly service. Ramen broth perfect. My tofu needed a little heat but they had it on the table. Definitely a delicious easy dinner.

My partner and I went here on two separate separate occasions and the service was consistent! It wasn't super crowded and both times the waiters were kind and made good recommendations! 10/10 Things tried and ratings: Chicken Kaarage: was juicy and crispy and accompanied by a tangy rich sauce 8/10 Gyoza: Crispy and thin layer of fried dough with pork and cabbage filling 10/10 Miso soup: Just good old regular miso soup 7/10 Gyudon: It came with beef, onions, pickled vegetable and an egg. The egg and pickle were okay, but the beef and onions were sweet and savory 10/10 Unadon: Eel over rice with pickled veggies. This was so good and filling! Similar sweet, but savory and tender. Also, did not find a million bones in it! 10/10 Taro Milk Tea: Not too sweet and boba was not too hard or too soft. It reminded me of the bubble tea from OPASS 8/10 It wasn't too loud either time and good food for Blacksburg! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back again!

Was in town to check out Virginia Tech university and stopped by this little gem and it was absolutely fantastic! Since I don't eat meat, I got the potato wrapped shrimp and the vegetarian ramen and it was really good. My family got the other ramen and sausages appetizer and they said it was yummy too. It's a cute little place and the service was very good. We spoke to the students who goes to VT are the ones working there part time. Very reasonable priced too so I highly recommend this place!

A cute restaurant with a self-ordering kiosk, good drinks, but ok food. Long wait! We came on a rainy day for take-out late lunch. Only 2 tables dining in, yet it took 40 minutes for my small order to be ready. I saw waiters chilling (even eating lunch at the counter). No one cares! I followed up a few times to no avail. Tantan noodle was alright (in terms of food probably the best dish). The grapefruit tea was good and comes in a sturdy cup Katsu curry rice is also alright Edamame is good (nice snack to order) However--- The calamari and karaage (fried) chicken are overcooked and rubbery. Not juicy or tender.

I found myself in Blacksburg for a college visit and we wanted to get lunch before the tour. The menu is pretty simple, but everything they do they do very well. I was stunned to find ramen this good in little town in rural Virginia. The potato wrapped shrimp were perfectly cooked. The dipping sauce was Thai inspired. One person in my party got the veggie ramen, which, while tasty, had way too much salt in it. That's the only reason I'm giving a 4 and not a 5. I got the chicken katsu and the curry sauce was divine. If you find yourself in Blacksburg, this is a fantastic place to eat

Busy for a Monday night but the seating area is small. Only a handful of tables and some bar style seating. We waited about 15 minutes for 3 people around 7:30. We ordered spicy edamame which had a good kick to it, 3 bowls of ramen & 3 bubble tea. The food didn't come out in any particular order which was disappointing. We got one ramen first and then the drinks. Then we got the appetizer & the other ramens. Food came out hot. My ramen had the chicken broth which the flavor was not to appealing & definitely wasn't chicken. Usually I drink my extra broth but I left it. The egg was cooked nicely. The noodles were ok nothing out of the ordinary. I had a peach bubble tea with regular boba which was delicious. My husband had a moon bubble tea which we weren't sure on the flavor so a description on the menu would have been nice but it was good. Service is friendly. Would definitely go back.

What a great addition to Blacksburg! With this and Hefun, we now have a healthy selection for Japanese food. I have only had the strawberry smoothie and gyoza, but friends are raving about the rest of the food as well. The gyoza are crispy and have plenty of filling. The sweet sauce that comes on the side is also AMAZING. Strawberry smoothie is what you'd expect, but it's nice to have another bubble tea option off Price's Fork besides Sushi Factory. The cup the drinks come in is super cute and adds a bit of charm. Would definitely recommend trying this place out. Just make sure to call ahead and ask if they have tables, because they were packed when I went on a Saturday night.

Stopped here to have lunch and the food was good, service was great (server sold us on the BOGO drinks special!). Very clean place but the weird thing is that they ran out of napkins but the server quickly offered us paper towels as a substitute.

Went back here for their food instead of just drinks and wow! They are amazing. The ramen was a great portion and packed with flavor and the chicken was so juicy. I would definitely go back!

Made the 1 hr trip here from Marion VA and it was WORTH IT. Probs one of the most rare authentic Asian places in SW VA. The inferno ramen was delicious and we loved the appetizers as well. Especially the chicken kaarage and Takoyaki. They also have delicious boba here. Service was super fast as well. They were so busy even on a tues evening. Highly recommend checking it out.

Great addition to Blacksburg. I'm really sad that Marco & Luca is gone, but I think that Blacksburg needed a bit more variety in terms of Asian options. I didn't expect such great flavor and ambiance from this restaurant, but I'm so glad we decided to check it out. I think that the ramen is reasonably priced, and the staff was attentive and checked on us often. There is plenty of outdoor seating as well which we appreciated. We had a coffee milk tea with 0% sugar with no tapioca pearls, and it was still perfectly sweetened without the added sugar. The Inferno ramen was sooo good - it was spicy enough and still really enjoyable. I will definitely be back the next time I am visiting!

Came by for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty empty. Was seated very quickly and all of the servers were really kind. I got the tonkotsu ramen, which wasn't the best ramen I've ever had but the service was very quick and efficient. Blacksburg isn't known for its Asian food, so I feel like I have to adjust my standards a little bit. I'd definitely recommend coming here though!

Ordering was fast-food style where we ordered at the front, gave our names, and waited for our name to be called. The dining area had plenty of places to sit with great natural lighting. My partner and I both got a bento box with the two protein option. Included in the box was a base, hibachi vegetables, and a protein choice (you can get up to 4 different proteins which cost more). I got the white rice, hibachi chicken, and hibachi shrimp while my partner got the white rice, fried chicken, and gyudon beef. We also split a 5pc gyoza appetizer all of which came out to be about $32. We waited about 10 minutes for our order and got the food so fresh. In addition to our meal and appetizer, the gyoza came with ponzu sauce and we both got a complementary side cup of yumyum sauce and spicy mayo. I truly thought the meal was delicious! My chicken was very tender and the shrimp was delicious. My partner loved his crispy friend chicken and enjoyed his beef. This meal was SUPER filling and could definitely be spread across two meals. I've already told my partner that I'll be absolutely craving Edo Ya again and we will definitely be back!!

It is a decent-sized store compared to the few tiny competitors that dot the region. There was a small selection of fresh produce and abundant frozen dumplings and vegetables. Tofu and other protein options for the vegetarian were also well represented. Oasis is located in Blacksburg Square's shopping center in Blacksburg, VA and features a spacious interior with plenty of aisles to browse. The store primarily sells products from the continents of Africa and Asia with a wide range of produce, meats, spices, snacks, and drinks. I haven't been to a wide variety of eating establishments in the Blacksburg college town area so I…read moredon't have a lot to compare Centro to which is why, for now, 4 Stars is what I'm giving this place as my inaugural rating. BUT....signs are REALLY PROMISING FOR AN UPGRADE TO 5 STARS if the 2 times I've been here - once in July and then a few weeks ago before the start of classes - are any indication. This was a total stumbled-on find for us and Yelp once again assisted us in picking this little gem. We were looking for a dinner spot, in the mood for anything, just wanted to find someplace with good reviews, went searching on Yelp and came across Centro. Prices were just right and street tacos sounded amazing and a healthier choice - but not too healthy lol - than a greasy burger joint, fast food or an overpriced sit down. Finding the place, at night, was tricky believe it or not. There were noooo pics in Yelp of the shopfront (there are now, check 'em out) and we went up and down the block where google maps indicated it was. Folks - it's a 2nd floor place with 2 small front entrances - the main one right on N Main - a tiny door with a big illustrated skull on the black awning (hard to see in the dark) - sandwiched in between Poor Billy's (on the corner of N Main and Jackson) and Boudreaux's. The other entrance to Centro is on Jackson, just around the corner. Just outside the Jackson entrance, you'll see the makeshift outside dining area for Centro - like 5 or 6 table/chair sets roped off as the street is still a through street for traffic. Clever outside dining area actually - tables are sufficiently distanced, servers wore masks, tables are cleaned diligently and only QR code online menus! Oh and on warm, sunny days, there is large-tree-shade providing nice relief. Way to go! Okay - now for THE FOOD! Sooooooo gooooood! Caveat: we've only ever had the a la carte street tacos and the side order of chips and salsa and guac. That's all. But that's been plenty for us and sufficiently filling and satisfying. The menu isn't extensive and they're not Taco Bell (thank goodness!) or On the Border - but Centro doesn't need to be. I figure their limited menu allows them to focus on QUALITY and what they do best. And it shows - YUM. Value: Absolutely excellent value! Way to go Centro for making your fare way-affordable for students! Totally worth the cost. Quality and fresh ingredients and generous portions on each taco. Lime wedges are a nice touch. The tray of chips is overflowing and enough to group-share. The guac is house made (you can tell) and the salsa is pico de gallo style. They have other hot, medium and mild sauces they'll bring you upon request. Service: Amazing! :) Both times, our servers were on-it, polite and responsive. Our wait for food was minimal (though truthfully, both times we went during non rush). Centro ROCKS. Give them your business and tip your server generously - they're worth it and worth keeping them going! Hoping for huge success for Centro as the new school year begins and as small local businesses like Centro are coming out of the Covid shutdown.
