Well I have now called twice and today was my third time calling that I set up an appointment for them to spray our yard for the 6-month package and then have them come out and explain the packages and look around and make recommendation. They never showed up when I call back today it was nobody to talk to. I ended up having a chat on a live chat and she told me that the reason they didn't show up is because they didn't offer the lawn service in New Hampshire and so they canceled it but never told me and when they cancel that they also canceled the initial review and sit down about the product. At this point in time I'm thinking maybe I should just find somebody else especially after looking at the reviews. If I haven't even had to deal with them in person yet and this is the kind of service I get if they can't even show up then I guess they're not reliable. read more

Absolutely the worst company to do business with. They will promptly bill you however they will never show up to do any work. Call and complain and they will run around and do as little as possible to make it look like they did something and yet you will still have ants. They lied to me and stated "New Hampshire requires termite control included in all contracts" corporate says they have never heard of that before and "you do not have termite control" Ants everywhere. Why waist several hundred dollars a month for nothing? Good luck getting anything even resembling customer service from these clowns. read more

The worst company I have ever done business with. They will demand money up front, a minimum one year contract, and with no ability to cancel without paying for the full year - all in advance of someone actually seeing or treating the property. I wasn't even provided the full service the contract stated for the initial visit, yet I was still charged more than $500. The service provided did not even match what I really needed but they don't give a care at all. I tried to get a full refund and cancel but it's nearly impossible the way their contract is written. Lesson learned - do not signup for long term service until you at least have someone come out and perform an assessment to determine what is really needed. This organization conducts borderline robbery the way they operate! Trust the other reviews here too - very poor customer service, good luck trying to settle or recover any money they demand up front. I found a local service that is much more thorough, cheaper, and does not require any long term commitment. Do yourself the same favor. STAY AWAY FROM TERMINIX AT ALL COSTS. read more

Will absolutely not be using a company that hires sexist, unprofessional sales people. I called to make an appointment for a singular issue with a pest that is seasonal, and the man on the phone immediately tried up-selling me to an annual recurring program before offering a single treatment. I certainly don't need annual upkeep for a pest that's around for 3 months out of the year. I asked for a price on a single treatment and proceeded to make an appointment until was told I needed to pay the $299 in full before the service was even rendered. I understand taking a CC to hold the appointment, but paying in full without a technician even seeing the problem felt off. Now seeing the other reviews here on Yelp, I'm very glad I didn't book! I thought I was speaking to someone who books appointments, but it became abundantly clear I was talking to "sales." All of this was annoying, but things got worse from there. He went on a long spiel about their trustworthiness and how that "pre-pay" policy only went into effect 6 months ago. As a means of stopping the sales tactics and giving myself time to consider my options, I said "I will need to discuss this with my husband and give you a call back." The absolute nerve of this man to respond with "Oh, so you need to ask your husband's permission to make a purchase over the phone?" in a tone meant to manipulate me into "buying now." No, you backward, inappropriate, sexist, slimy salesman--I was just trying to politely get off the phone with you. I'll look for a company that employs folks with a little more integrity who have moved beyond a 1950s worldview. read more

While Terminix was doing their quarterly inspection they found signs of bats. Another guy came out a few days later and looked in the attic and around the house. He was quick to tell me I was lucky the bats were not in my attic as that would cost about 10k. He said they were in the soffits and that he could have a crew out in just a few days. In about 3-4 hours they would use some type of liner around the soffits so the bats couldn't get in, they would leave one "door" so the bats could get out. The cost was $2100. It seemed high, but I just wanted the bats gone and everything is expensive these days so I signed off on it. When the crew came the next day (with no notice) they realized the bats were not in the soffit but in a crack in the chimney. They used some caulking around the chimney and put in the "door". It took less than an hour. The next day my husband called to say we should be getting a refund for a significant amount because what was done was not what was quoted (because not needed) and that is when we realized we had been scammed. We found out I didn't pay to have the bats removed, I paid for a year of "service" for anything that may get in our attic. That is NOT what Dana sold me on and for the past two weeks I have been in a cycle of trying to get our money back. The Concord office tried calling once but didn't leave a number for us to call back and if you try calling them you just get corporate who can't help. My husband tried calling Dana a few times as well, but he knows what he did and of course isn't going to call back. Doing my research and this isn't the only time they have done this. Dana has plenty of terrible reviews and Terminix has been sued for this type of behavior. I would highly recommend you call anyone except these guys. I'll keep fighting for our money, please don't waste your time on these guys. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Atrocious customer service, breach of contract, horrible communication, impossible to get any issues resolved. One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Opening a complaint with Better Business Bureau to get my money refunded for non-delivery of service. Called every day for a month and was told each time it was being escalated and someone would call me back, and no one ever did. At least they're consistently horrible. That's about the only positive thing I can say about this company. I'm now with Orkin and they're great! Cheaper, too. If you choose to do business with this company, good luck. read more

Still trying to get a refund from Terminex for the unauthorized service they claim they performed (which we have no idea if they did it as we were not home at the time- clearly I would have stopped them as we did not sign on for quarterly treatments) when we were out AND from an unauthorized bank account over a month ago. Not only did they take our money without authorization, we have had NO luck getting any response from customer service. They called me after a few days,listened to me, gave me no case number and I haven't heard back. Terminex on Yelp says deal with it through the BBB. By dealing with the complaint via the BBB, if they settle the issue they keep their "A" rating BUT take a look at the BBB reviews 300+ all ONE STAR ratings . BBB's rating system is not based on how many complaints, or the nature of the complaints (many are similar to mine or WORSE!) but whether they eventually respond and settle your case. No matter WHAT Terminex does other than refunding 10X my money, apologizing publicaly and agreeing to stop their spray bill and run practices, they deserve an F for what they have done and not done to fix it so far. Next step - I will file a complaint with the state district attorney (criminal or civil) and maybe then they will respond. Do not use this company. A guy came to our neighborhood in Vermont and said they were doing a special. We had ants etc. so I decided to try it. I was a little hesitant so I paid by check, didn't want to use credit card, probably should have. The tech came and was pleasant and did a good job. They even came back and resprayed for a problem I hadn't noticed. The ants and pill bugs are gone but maybe they would have gone away in time anyway... My issue is that they keep sending me bills for this service ( which I already paid for in June). I have called numerous times, both to the route manager and the 800 number, which is usually in the Phillipines. They would not give me a number for Concord because it's not a real office, its a supply and meeting place. Today after 2 bills and numerous calls I was able to get through with someone called a customer coordinator who I could understand. She is in Tampa, FL. She was helpful but said it takes 7 WEEKS for a check to go through their system and that's why I keep getting bills! Ridiculous! If this is not resolved in 2 weeks I plan on calling the Attorney General of Vermont re scam/ fraud. I cancelled any further appointments. In August 2021, Terminix came to inspect a suspected mouse problem and we ended up having them replace our insulation and add termite traps around the house. They didn't finish the job and they also damaged our home while they were working on our insulation. While they were in our attic, they somehow pushed a bolt from one of the cross beams through our ceiling. After they left, we called to let them know that the house was damaged and that they hadn't done the quoted work on our basement stairs but we got the runaround from both the service technician and his supervisor. I understand many places are short staffed and supplies aren't easy to come by so I've been giving them some time to get back to us but it is now January 2022, 5 months after they started this job, and we've waited long enough. They continue to ignore our calls and bounce us back and forth between the technician and his supervisor, never leading anywhere. It is unacceptable and unethical to not finish a contracted job much less damage a home and then ghost the client. I would expect better from a company if it was involving a $100 service and ours was unfortunately in the thousands. I would never recommend this business to anyone under any circumstances and unfortunately, after reading a bunch of other quotes, I'm not the first person this company has done this to. I highly suggest you take your business to any other company so you don't get caught in the same situation we are in. This has been a very disappointing transaction and I truly hope this review helps other people avoid such a situation. read more

I called for a pest inspection when I heard a rodent in my wall. The inspector from Terminex came out and quoted me $11,000 and said I needed new insulation. He also said the financing was 10% interest and when I had the paperwork emailed to me it was 18% interest. I got a second opinion from a home inspector and another pest company ( All Creature Pest Control). The home inspector said the insulation was fine and All Creature Pest Control quoted me $500 for the pest removal. I'm appalled by dishonesty of Terminex. read more

Came to evaluate a problem of some sort of frass on our front porch. Evaluation a few days prior by another company deemed it an ant problem after observing an ant and finding ant parts in frass which I confirmed myself with a jeweler's loop magnifier. Terminix came and declared the problem was definitely NOT ants, but squirrels and bats. Offered exactly zero evidence. Had bat proofing done 3 years ago by a different company so called that guy in to re-check. He checked all barriers installed previously and all were completely intact. No evidence of new bat infestation or squirrels in attic. Said the idea of squirrels was "laughable". Also we never heard anything in the attic. Impossible to get thru to local office to lodge a complaint. On to BBB! We are in our 70s and he probably thought he could put one over on us. Shameful! read more

Signed up for terminix's quarterly service last week when a salesman showed up at my door offering a "discount" because neighbors are using service. I was very adamant that I was only interested in service if they prevented ants, mice and bees. I was told yes to all of this and they would also be treating inside of home, all of which was on paper contract. So, today was service day and I was told by exterminator that they are not treating inside of home, "it's not part of my package". They are only spraying perimitor of home. "If I see a bee hive or wasp nest to call them and they'll remove" they don't pretreat for them. As for mice. They'll put steel wool in holes if I give them the location they're entering. Oh, but they will provide sticky traps upon request. This was a complete waste of time and a bait and switch at its finest! Of course, I denied this BS. read more

I have never felt the need to use Yelp to complain about foul treatment. However in this case I couldn't help it. I can't in good faith call what they provided a service. What I received was the taking of my money for possibly 10 minutes of actual time over three visits. They were contracted for ants and there last visit their description of work was clearing spider webs and wasp nests neither of those things were done since I don't have wasps. Stay away! read more

Do not hire. To large of a company and horrible customer service. Technicians are nice but they only do what they are told from corporate , push products like insulation and offer promises they can't keep. Hired them at the start of my renovation and they sold me the exclusion, offered to get rid of my attic squirrels and bats. All they did was spend a day blocking holes and have not returned one phone call from me asking for more traps or something in the attic as they are multiplying and doing damage. I had a bat 3 days ago in my bedroom in the broad daylight. No excuse. I want my money back not wait the hole year and have my house destroyed. Horrible horrible company. Stick with a small local pest control company that actually cares. read more

We have been customers for 20+ years. Service has gone from excellent to terrible. There are specific written directions given in "Notes" section of online account requiring a live conversation between agent and customer prior to service date. Yet, this direction is not followed. I put this directive in place because we wanted pest control app to be applied at specific times of year. However, these directions were not followed. So, I wanted to have a "real" live agent on phone prior to service. I continue to have this problem. Example, a service tech applied external pest control on April 27th, 2021. We had no idea he was arriving on that date because there was no "live" conversation ahead of time. So, the insect problem inside of the house went untreated because there was no communication ahead of this treatment date!!! The ensuing nightmare trying to get a followup treatment for inside our home has been unbelievable! I cannot schedule it online because the April 27th service remains unpaid. Yet, how can I authorize payment on an incomplete service??? Phone calls to Terminix are unproductive, at best, if I can get a live voice to help me. When I do get a live voice, they attempt to transfer my call to a local agent only to have the phone call disconnected in the process. I am expecting a service tech here today, June 7th between 2-4 to service the interior of our home. This has been needed since the April 27th external home application. I am, currently, waiting for a call back from a Terminix agent to talk about this impending service. If Terminix does not respond to this important need, I am searching for a new exterminator in the Concord, NH area. read more

Do not contract for work to be done by the New Hampshire branch! Signed up for a one year quarterly service contract in July. First technician did a great job, explained everything, very thorough, spent over an hour, saw immediate results. Second service was on Oct. 25. Different technician who began by explaining/complaining that they were short staffed, etc. We specifically discussed when the next service would be done and were shocked to hear that it would be during January. Asked what good that would do since we usually have at least 3-4' of snow against the foundation. Could not answer the question. He then spent 27 minutes "inspecting inside and out", and left without talking to either my husband or me. Within an hour of his leaving we received an emailed work order. Shocked to see that my signature had been forged. Since Oct. 25 we have placed 10+ calls to try and speak to the manager of the NH branch about the forged signature and exactly what type of service they do in January in Vermont. We have yet to receive a return call. Received an automated message that service was scheduled for today. Made our final call last night. Customer Service tried to contact the manager to no avail. Service for today has been cancelled and getting ready to cancel the entire contract. Have never experienced such poor customer service ever! Karen M. read more

Save yourself a whole lot of headaches and lies. I hired this company to do an encapsulation service in my crawlspace. The salesman John B lied to me about the products that I signed up for and they ended up installing something else. I was told they would install a remote control dehumidifier in my crawlspace. The one they installed was manual, so I asked them to take it out and bring back the correct one. The ended up bringing me back the same one without a remote control and said they do not sell that product. Nothing but headaches with this job from start to finish. Yes, I saved a ton of money using this company, but not worth the headaches & lies. read more

Requested 1 visit to treat for ants in house. Chris came & sprayed as requested. He left no documentation and we signed nothing as he was unable to get an internet signal at our house. He told us that we would get a bill in the mail, which we did, and we believed that to be the end of our business with Terminex. The ants returned within a few days so I purchased insecticide and sprayed on a regular basis over 3 weeks to resolve the issue. Three months later, our credit card was charged $237.37 for 'ongoing service contract for pests and termites'. NO such contracts were ever discussed or agreed to, but we were told that we had to pay because we had signed contracts and didn't cancel 30 days in advance. Someone forged signatures on paperwork and we are now going to the Attorney General's office to start an investigation. RUN, don't ever think of trying this company! Bob H. Hinsdale, NH read more
