I inherited a termite contract in 2021 through a home purchase. Apparently I get billed in July FOR APRIL's annual service, because I closed in late June . I have attempted to have this fixed for four years now. In addition, last year, the Terminix man pulled up, opened one trap in the front yard, left a bill for $350 on my front door and drove off! All this caught on Vivant. I called, complained, and they sent someone out that I personally insisted I walk with to inspect all 13+-. This year (2024) I receive a notice in late June early July, about being late on my plan again. I never received a bill until the one that just arrived as late. I called to attempt to fix it again. The local person scheduled the inspection, but insisted I pay first. I went on-line and paid. Twice they have rescheduled my April annual inspection (now into August) without calling and now I'm not available on the random date they picked. And to top it off, they have to call me to reschedule, as no other dates available. So here I am waiting on the same incompetent branch to call me back? No thank you. When I escalate to the 800, they push it back to the branch. It was only after the third call that I hung up did someone from an escalation team call me and inform me there IS a regional over the area. Waiting for the call back! Ugh! read more

Nicholasville, KY is quite the opposite. Horrible service. Constantly late if they even show up for the appointment. Managers never call back. If you call in between service they will NOT respond. I started using this Terminex when I moved to this area after they told me that they worked afternoons and Saturdays. For one time they did. I canceled and went to Orkin after they messaged me and told me that they were coming the next day between 8-12am and would treat outside. I texted back and informed them that I was seeing wolf spiders inside, but since my wife had to work from home and couldn't be disturbed and I needed them to come in the afternoon or Saturday, he said that he didn't work afternoons or many Saturdays now. Gave them 3 stars because the technicians are good. The problem is corporate office and phone center. You call and get nothing unless you are buying new service. Huge disconnect between the local offices and call center reps - scheduling can be done online, but good luck if you have any type of urgent need for pest control - contract or not... read more

Terminix has excellent name recognition nationally and of course when purchasing a home, a termite inspection is required. I have no reason to believe that the service people are anything but well-trained. I signed a service agreement for maintenance years ago. They always show up. There is no local store front however and no satisfactory mechanism to initiate a call to a local representative. And, if you miss or forget about the appointment notifications which the company schedules unilaterally, you will miss the opportunity for either interaction with the service person or to have indoor treatment. But, why I am looking elsewhere is the company's marketing of an '"exclusion" contract for vermin. When one has an animal in his house, and one pays year after year for this service it is profoundly concerning to have anything other than prompt reliable service. My current situation is the second time I have had anything but reliable service. I am looking elsewhere. read more

So I'm a property owner that use this company on a regular and in the last 4 weeks I've had complaints from my tenants saying that personal items have been stolen from their resident, including the kids piggy banks. I am so upset with this service and untrustworthy with this company that I've replaced some of the items. The guy named was Drew Carey. Worst Customer Service I have encountered in 45 years of professional experience. Continued promises for billing resolution remain broken, call the customer service number - called twice on a Tuesday at 11:00 am - remained on hold for over five minutes then the recording says the office is closed and call back when open between 7 am and 7 pm Monday thru Friday)..... Do not write this company a check - I did ($3,500) and they cashed it but do not acknowledge that they did (glad I have bank receipts). Corporate Office in TN is no help and I can't get through auto recording to talk to a supervisor - I have a signed contract that Terminex doesn't acknowledge - they use SERVICEMASTER as a collection office and each constantly points to the other as the one "at fault." - meanwhile my credit goes down the Drain --- BE AWARE - service people may be good but admin people obviously are not. read more

Made an appointment in the Mt Sterling, KY location. They never showed, we called 4 times, they told us the tech was on his way, finally after 6 hours of waiting, they had told us the tech called out with a stomach bug and they cancelled our appointment but never told us about it. If I could give a negative number I would. We set an apt for a tech to come out on Saturday May 22,2017 at 1:00pm. We were going out of town the night before and would be back around noon. So we scheduled the visit at 1:00 when we knew we would be home. At around 10:00 am that morning we had several calls from our son (we did not have our phone previous to that time). We called him back. He told us the Terminix tech was there, we told him to tell the tech he was not suppose to be there until 1:00. He said his first apt cancelled and he wanted to get his day finished early. Note:this was the first visit. He was suppose to do a termite check and spray. He was there for about 20 min. Left and said he did. It see any signs of activity. There are signs all over the house. He did not take the time he was suppose to take, he did not do a termite inspection. And sprayed chemicals in a house with a dog who has severe reactions to chemicals. When we had my son ask him about this he said, " it might give them a stomach ache for a few days". I called terminex when I got home and told them I was very upset about this. I wanted to get our money back and cancel our service. He (Lexington manager) talked me into giving them one more chance. So I did, he rescheduled for the following Tuesday between 5-7. HE NEVER SHOWED UP. I have been calling leaving emails and talking to customer service ever since. I have not received a refund. I have been yelled at, hung up on, and ignored and given the run around. I have contacted them through the 800 customer service number. They always transfer me back to the Lexington manager who never called me back. I have contacted them on Facebook. I left bad reviews I reached out to other upset customers and they blocked my from their Facebook page. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT HONOR THEIR 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. I would not recommend. The customer service is horrible. We had scheduled 4 times for Terminix. to come for a quarterly service. Each time we made sure we were home during the 2 hour window , and no one showed or called us. I contacted Terminix customer service 5 different times, they never transfer you to a manager they say they are not available. Three time I asked for the Regional manager to call me, no one has ever returned my call. I don't know how this company remains in business. The few times they showed up to spray dos not make a difference. Not a good choice call another company! read more

Very dishonest business. Have had service for a couple of years. They've been unsuccessful at stopping our ant problem. On 2 different occasions have been disputed that they performed a service, when I was right here in my home at the alleged time of service, with no contact made. Definitely would not recommend this company for pest control. I WOULD NOT recommend this company to anyone !!! They came to my house to do the initial treatment. They made 4 more visits after that, but I still had the problem they came to treat. I made several attempts to reach them to get them to come back out before my warranty expired. Every time I called they told me someone would contact me in 24 to 72 hours but no one ever did. I ask to speak to a manager and got the same response a call back in 24 to 72 hours later still no call back. Here it is almost a year later and I'm still dealing with the problem that I paid them 1,600 to fix. My arms, and legs are covered in sores from scratching. Not to mention the sleepless nights I have due to being bitten several times a night. I can't have company over for the fear of sending them home with my problem. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had had some mice in our apartment and called Terminix to fix the problem. They helped us schedule an appointment within the next couple of days. However, the day of the appointment, no one showed up and no one called to reschedule. We called back the next day to explain what happened and the employee was very rude with us and explained that we would have to wait a week before anyone else could come back out, even though it was not our fault that they hadn't come out in the first place. We could not wait a week and went with another company (which came out the next day might I add, with NO issue). About a week later, a man from Terminix stopped by our apartment, I guess to help with the mice issue, but we were not home. Please note we did not schedule a second appointment with them when we called to complain. They just showed up. When I arrived home, there was a note in the door that stated that he had been there three times in the last week to treat our home and had also tried to call us as well. None of which was true because there were no previous notes and we had not received any phone calls. I called the manager and he apologized and was very nice. I appreciate the manager's professionalism in handling the issue. However, I still would recommend going with another company. Having an employee lie and say he came to our home when he actually didn't is not good service! read more

I would like to give a negative number if I can. After Terminix missed several termite inspection appointment, one inspector finally came and found out that we had a crawl space in pretty bad shape - wrong encapsulation, fungus, and insulation soaked with water and fell on the ground et al. So I paid $4,500 up front to get everything replaced and treated. It turned out to be a really bad decision. When the technicians came, they told me that the insulation looked just one year old, and they suggested and persuaded me that I did not need to replace them. So they cut their work from two days to one day. They left with debris of who-knows-what on the stairs. On the same night, I developed bad allergy and it lasted for weeks. It turned out that the insulation was at least 8+ years old! And for weeks no one came to install the dehumidifier that is included in the package. I called them numerous times to replace the insulation and install the dehumidifier. At first I was told that they could take out the insulation, but there was no need for me to put new one back in. Then I was told that putting new insulation would be a separate service and they have never ever replace insulation for encapsulation. I was pretty pissed at that point as I have been provided four different versions of stories by now. Now they did not even put down the appointment they set up with me on their computer system and they (e.g., the regional manager or branch manager) do not call me back to tell me when they are going to come for take out the old insulation and install the dehumidifier.
