We were called and told tech would pull oven away from wall to spray since that was the point of contact with bugs. We were also told they spray under the cabinets in the household. The caller/ dispatcher also said they go under house in crawl space. Our house sits 3 feet above concrete covered in heavy plastic. Older guy on phone said yes he's has been there done that. I have been living a nightmare since before Christmas. I developed some type of "bites" on my skin. I had just gotten out of the hospital where I had been for several weeks and just thought I brought something home with me. In fact, this explanation is what I was given...What do you do but call an exterminator which deals only with bed bugs, right? This former company came to my house and looked in my bedroom and stated they definitly saw signs of bed bugs. They began treatment the same day. Needless to say, $2,000, 3 treatments and 5 months later. I was still seeing "bites" I called Terminix and a tech by the name of Alex Johnson came by my home the same day. He asked me pointed questions about where I most frequently sat or did I know where I was when I felt I might be exposed. He checked those areas very carefully. He not only did not find any bed bugs, but Alex told me bed bugs always leave some type of evidence they have been there, even after 5 months 3 treatments and , of course, the $2,000! Alex told me there was no doubt I never even had bed bugs. I now go in a different direction to find what I may be allergic to and causing these "bites". I called Terminix with the complete idea I was going to hire this company to rid me of this problem. After seeing how traumatized I was, Alex Johnson could very easily told me I needed re-treatment. He did not. I was an easy mark for the first company. Alex was very well educated in regards to bed bugs and their life cycle and why there was no evidence of having any bed bugs in the first place. A situation such as this is a very emotional problem. I feel very confident in his observations and recommendations. I have hired Terminix for quarterly pest control. Anyone who thinks Terminix has high prices, has no idea the cost financially and emotionally the other company cost me. The $2,000 fee I was charged was just the beginning. Don't trust anyone who is too quick to make a bed bug decision. Observe the evidence. I don't wish bed bugs, or the thought of them, on anyone but check credentials of any company you are thinking to hire...then check again. BBB? Not this first company. They are the worst at refunding your money but the best at hiding behind fine print and keeping your money. I had a squirrel in my attic and had them remove it which they never did. as it turns out, the squirrel's nest was in my garage and i was able to get him out myself. I thought that was the end of it but they renewed the rodent extraction contract at $200 and would not issue the refund because the fine print said it would auto renew each year. What extortion and scammers they are. I will never recommend them to anyone. There are honest companies out there that don't take advantage of seniors. The lady who answered "Dawn" was very rude and unprofessional. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and if you've had any issues with them, you should too. read more

I was impressed with their website. I was able to get all the information I needed, book my appointment and pay without speaking to anyone. I booked it for a Monday. The prior Saturday I get a call from someone saying they will be over shortly for service. I never asked for Saturday nor was I home. I was then told Monday at 10 was not possible because it was booked. I asked for someone to call me and never heard from anyone. Monday, at 10, no one shows and no call. Terrible customer service. The Tech assigned to us would fill out paper work and say that he performed services that we know he did not do. I have always used Terminix and this is the first time I have not been happy with the service. I cancelled my year round service in September 2022. A tech showed up in December 2022 and did the outside of the house without notifying me and without my authorization. When I contacted their office I was promised that I would not be charged yet they text me every day, harassing me about paying for that service call that I did not request. I even shared the cancellation email with their customer service, showing that they responded and knew that my service was cancelled three months before. We had many issues with their techs during the time we used Terminix and I will certainly never use them again. read more

I selected Terminix to tent my house for termites because of their reputation and they have has done 2 other tenting in the past. I see that there are so many bad reviews for them that this one will probably get lost in the dust, but for what it's worth: 1) this national company charges more because of its name and I was told that they only use Terminix employees to do the tenting work. Not so! they subcontracted to a company called P.E.S.T. After checking the contract, it says this is allowable, but why misinform me to my face. I would have chosen them anyway. 2) They told me it would be tented on Monday and would take 2 days. I left my house for my hotel that Monday. They didn't tent the house till Tuesday afternoon. I could have saved the money for one day at the hotel room. And I spent some anxious days wondering if I needed an extra day at the hotel. We wanted to be present during the tenting process. 3) The workers from P.E.S.T were rude and clearly annoyed at our attempt to ask them to route the canvas in such a way to avoid killing plants near the house. 4) The house was finally turned over to me within an hour of the deadline. It feels eerie when you are standing in front of the house looking at the DANGER-PELIGRO sign warning you about entering the house and then the guy goes in, opens up the house, the windows, does a little testing, and says: it's OK to go in now, here is your key, bye... Terminix was the highest quote we got, and we expected the best. But why pay more for what everybody else offers for less. Terminix has done 2 other tenting in the past, but not in the future, I guarantee you that. And I told them all about this and got no response. There, I've said it, good luck to you all. read more

One has been created for $2200I recently used their service when I moved into my undisclosed handyman special. They had left a lot of old used furniture in the house and the furniture had bugs in them. Not the big gross looking kind, the small parasitic kind, that enjoy survival on blood, yours that is. Gross vicious mites putting it nicely,or to hit you in the face BEDBUGS, the 2nd nite I was their they came out and started biting. And the extent that I started to see was very upsetting.So I got in touch with Terminix as they have a guarantee to come back until their gone,that's the only reason I contacted them instead of another company. The Tech that came out name was Sterling W. And his suggestion was a TENT which I though was a bit extreme and expensive but I took it into consideration. The 2nd suggestion was a continuing every 2 week treatment which would take longer but results would be the same. While I was thinking about it they were getting worse. And my poor little cat was getting chewed on also.. And she already has Cancer she doesn't need bugs on top of that. So I hopefully agreed to try the Tent but was going to have to get a loan for the 2000$ treatment. But Sterling suggested I let him check my credit & they could offer me a loan if need be. Here is the beginning of Stickie but I just don't know it yet. I signed the appropriate paperwork to run credit. He came back and said I was approved for 2yrs 137 m. I said too much, I'll go to my bak and see what they say. 2 days later i was approved and told him immediately. So they scheuled the service for the end of following week. Then he said I had to be out of the house for 2 to 3 days. This was not a happy thought for me as I would have to get a hotel and bring my cat and it's not easy to find a hotel with a cat they only consider dog pets. So in the interim of the scheduling of the appointment I was having trouble finding a hotel and I told him I was going to reschedule he then made every effort to help find me a hotel and at the time I thought he was being nice. But actually my loan from Terminix that I had said no to was still in existence and when the job was done, they were immediately to get the funds. And even tho I had a check from my bank to give them, unknowingly the loan from them had already been created and was put into action. So now when the job was done so was I as 2 loans for the same purpose was created, And while at the hotel I was so nieve as I couldn't understand why when I texted & called both Sterling and his boss to make arrangements to get the check Neither would respond or get back to me to get it. Then when I got home the chemicals were still in the air and burning my skin, and walking thru the house I was getting chewed on from the floor. What very little furniture I had mainly a couch which was my bed, my kitchen,my living room I couldn't even think about sitting on it was stickie. So back outside to book another hotel,I was really upset.But after I left the hotel and told him I wasn't happy and they were still their and the only thing the chemicals were doing was burning my skin and the air was chocking me. No response they were done with me. It was like I was dead. Then The next day I got a call from some company I never heard of to welcome me to having a new account with them. I didnt understand at all until I got someone on the phone And they said they were Terminex loan company . One has been created for $2200, I was. Both lived and sick and the money had already been sent to Terminix so their was no Undoing of it. So sadly now I had 3 loans, as their was 1 now for the 6 days I spent in a hotel. I cried and cried but I had to straighten it out as I couldn't leave tings the way they were. I paid the loan back with my banks money.It's been a month and I still have the bugs and their getting worse,I look like a piece of Swiss cheese and I mean my entire body and head. They're in the floor there in the woodwork where in the walls. their even in the couch I sleep in with plastic bags on it. My clothes are in crates & plastic bags, the doors to each bedroom is closed and when I walk into the room they bite my legs and jump in my hair & scalp. I have no furniture but I'm afraid to buy any for fear the bugs will enjoy it more then me. This started in October when I moved here,It be really nice to be able to sleep in a bed,or have a couch to sit on,or have some draws to put clothes in. And when I buy food from Chewy for my cat that cost 85.00 a case so her Cancer doesn't get worse,I have to throw it out,cause When I open it and it hits the air bugs go in immediately and she won't eat it. So I throw it away and worry about her health.I too need to go to the ER I have so many infections from the bites, but I'm afraid they will want to keep me.
