The inside feels cozy and there's plenty of seating- we chose the corner booth. The service is great; the employees were very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. We received our food and drinks quickly. We ordered two iced strawberry matcha lattes. Unfortunately, they were pretty terrible and borderline undrinkable. I don't doubt that their coffee is good, but this was disappointing. The color was not great, it had no actual matcha flavor, and not nearly sweetened enough (even with the strawberry syrup). It pretty much tasted like chalky water with strawberry seeds. I ordered the turkey bacon, egg, Gouda cheese with spinach on a multigrain roll. I enjoyed it, and both the turkey and eggs were cooked well. I feel like there wasn't enough cheese, but maybe that's just me. However, the sandwich was kind of dry and I had to ask for ketchup so I could just have some moisture. My partner ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich. My husband & I came in on a bitter cold afternoon. I still opted for a large butterscotch latte. My husband went with his usual and more aligned with the weather a large hot coffee. Next to the register there were some really delicious looking desserts. I went with the apple pie cake. Our order was rung up at the register then brought to our table. We took w seat in the cute cafe. I really enjoyed my butterscotch latte. It was smooth, creamy but not overly s sweet. My husband's black coffee was piping hot which gave us some time for a card game. Finally the apple pie cake. It tasted healthy but with good I want to go back and try a sandwich. Really good food - really slow service. I've been to Terra Cafe several times and each time the service has declined. Today was the worst - paid for food and had to wait almost 10 minutes for them to put 6 cookies and 2 brownies into a box. They weren't that busy either - the servers just prioritized other orders before our paid order. Will definitely not be in a hurry to go back. This is such a cute small cafe. I came here with my husband for a quick breakfast and coffee. He stuck with a regular hot coffee, and I got an Iced Pistachio Latte with Oat Milk. I liked that my latte tasted healthier than most coffee shops - real pistachios were on top and I didn't taste any crazy sugary syrup. I can't remember what breakfast sandwich my husband got, but he liked it. I ordered the Avolcano Avocado Toast - very good, and compared to other places, it was reasonably priced. Huge burger topped with avocado, vegan Mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, sprinkle of cabbage, served on their homemade multi grain bun. Really really good! Tuna from the Azores served on an abundant layer of beautifully arranged ripe avocado, topped with mildly spicy peppers and sprouts all resting on house baked multi-grain toast. Very nice, if I could give it a 4.5 I would. The açaí bowls were very good, definitely had a nice home made vibe and taste. Also very healthy without the fake stuff added. The sandwiches were also very good. The weird part of the meal is the drink selection. They have a lot of good and unusual options, but none of the standards. It was nice to have a unique selection, but it would also be nice to have a Diet Coke in there or something. The prices were average for a private coffeehouse. It's more expensive than fast food, but cheaper than a sit down restaurant. The people and service was great. Very fast and accommodating. Overall great experience! read more

I am loathed to rate this place because, selfishly, I do not want you to find it. This little gem... Great atmosphere inside. Welcoming, with inclusivity postings. An excellent menu filled with tasty, healthy offerings, handwritten in chalk. Fantastic daily specials and multiple coffee and chai and health drink options to choose from. Fresh pastries up front if you so choose. Thus far, I have tasted a few of the pastries, A pesto-chicken sandwich (scrumptious and fresh), and I normally have the Chai. My girfriend had the oatmeal which had a healthy portion of fresh fruit and was delicious. The place is very small with only a few tables, so you have to stake your claim pretty early. Additionally, the hours are limited with no Sundays on the menu. A fantastic find. read more

Not sure if I caught them on a bad day or not, but was very disappointed based on the fantastic reviews. I ordered the turkey bacon egg and cheese and asked to ensure the egg and bacon were well done (this is not a preference, but a requirement for my current medical state) - the egg was cooked through but the turkey bacon was barely warmed so I had to remove it from the sandwich. It was also a very small sandwich for $7+ and after taking the bacon off I was left hungry. I also ordered a golden latte, which literally tasted like warm almond milk. Not even a hint of the honey, cinnamon, ginger or turmeric. The latte was also quite expensive - $15 total for a breakfast I didn't really enjoy. Sadly, I probably won't return. read more

Terra cafe is my favorite local coffee shop that has countless offerings to make your mouth water. My favorite is the overnight oats. A close second would be any of their unique açaí bowls. They also have an incredible tofu and black bean burrito. It keeps me full all day and is so flavorful you would never know there were no eggs. Terra always has specials on their menu and the staff is always pleasant and welcoming to all. Need local honey? It's my go to! But also you can pick up Portuguese delicacies. Here's what I've tried: Turkey sandwich Corsica salad Anti-inflammatory smoothie All were fabulous. Filling, savory, absolutely delicious. I felt so good after eating there!! Everything was so nicely prepared. The call-ahead/curbside ordering was flawless. I really appreciated their extra care. Even my teenager loved the food and was very satisfied and energized. Woohoo! Sure I drive 20 minutes for coffee but this place is worth it especially if you take the winding country roads (route 136 to 59 to Judd Street). Homemade healthy vegan and non vegan food options with authentic coffee made with only the type of artistry and love that a small neighborhood NYC coffee bar holds.
