My kids and I love Cosmic. Number one - I am a coffee drinker and I am very very fussy - I like coffee and not that bitter stuff you get at starbucks - the Cosmic coffee is smooth and not bitter. I just get it with milk and it is perfect. Their sandwiches are awesome but I specifically love their french toast bits with maple syrup and strawberries. The food is very good, reasonably priced and the staff is very nice. Matt the owner is very nice and he is always so helpful. I love the chagachino mushroom coffee option and every pastry I've had there was good. Also my husband loves the protein bites and I can agree with them being super tasty. Stumbled upon the new addition to monroe, cosmic coffeehouse. I was there with my husband and he had a smoothie and I had a premade overnight oats with mango (amazing). We knew our kids would love it there so the next day, we took them! They couldn't get enough- My daughter had the chicken Caesar wrap (homemade chips yummmm), then we have 4 different Açaí bowls- mine was with a dragon fruit base. We devoured them! They are fairly priced (maybe slightly more than other places for their size). My youngest daughter loved her sisters wrap and asked for us to get that for her too. I guess she was hungry! Kinda disappointed. I had two bowls to go a Greek goddess and botsford. The Greek goddess has maybe 1/8th of a tomato thinly sliced, 3 whole Kalamata olives (be careful of the pits), 3 very thin slices of cucumber, and feta. The rice was not seasoned as described in fact it was obviously very old bc it was crunchy due to it being dry and left out. For 13 dollars I expected it to be more bountiful and fresh. The Botsford bowl was more "generous" but an additional dollar for pork making it a 14 dollar bowl. I don't think the price matched the quality or quantity which is a shame. Drink wise I had the maple latte but all I tasted was cinnamon and I didn't even have a hint of maple (5.25). My husband had a large cold brew which was good per him. I was not greeted when I came in but most people were. They have a large/diverse menu which is great. Most people seemed satisfied with their purchases on the dining area (a few small tables). It was a holiday so this could have played a role with my experience. I would definitely try it again and eat in to see if that helps I would not get these bowls again. I love to support small business and most of not all reviews are 4/5 so I'm probably a one off. Definitely will update review. read more

Was so excited to try this place but sadly am left disappointed. Got a muffin and a cookie for later. Despite what the sign says these items were not freshly baked. The muffin was dry and only had chips on the top. Tasted like a Costco muffin that came from the freezer. The cookie looks dusty and dry. Was not baked today for sure. Stopped in the other morning with my wife and figured we would give it a shot. Seems as though Newtown is now a bit overloaded on coffee and smoothie places. I'm not a coffee drinker myself but my wife ordered some type of cinnamon cold brew which she loved and I had an iced black tea which was great. But what really stood out was the food we had. We shared avocado toast, a croissant with bacon egg and cheese, hash brown and chipotle sauce. It was awesome. We also shared french toast bites which had nutella and powdered sugar with syrup to dunk them in. Outstanding. Very pleasant service, nice and clean seating area. This is only reflecting the coffee; I did not order food. Finally, there's a small business in Newtown that has good coffee! Got a cold brew and a medium roast brewed coffee. The cold brew was phenomenal. Great body and not at all bitter. The brewed coffee was also very good; tasted a bit watery for my taste, but the extraction itself was quite good (not bitter at all). Prices were reasonable (paid about $7 for both coffees including a $1 tip). Will definitely return. read more

The food and drinks at cosmic are exceptional. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but my kids prefer cosmic over Starbucks and DUNCAN. Their smoothies are out of this world. I would've given it five stars, but I had one bad experience there. I went with the whole family a there was 10 of us. After we ordered the wait was unreasonable and some of us didn't get food. Others had already eaten their meal. When I went to the counter to complain, there were three meals sitting there getting cold. I was very disappointed and it wasn't cheap. Other than that five stars. They have a drive-through too, which makes it very convenient. They're located where the old Botsford drive-in used to be. I miss the old drive in. They had terrific hot dogs. I've been back many times since the bad experience and have had wonderful experiences instead. I got an iced coffee and a BEC on a kaiser roll and it's so yummy. Extremely helpful and happy staff. They had several offerings without bananas. I had the Libra bowl, with an açaí base. The strawberries and blueberries that were topping the bowl were plentiful and very fresh. The overall taste was excellent! My friend had a smoothie that she also liked. There are places to sit both inside or outside. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. I'm so happy that we finally have a smoothie, playa bowl, coffee house in our area of town.
