Really happy that I stopped here! This coffee bar is located inside a gas station (which caught me off guard) but it's beautifully decorated! They also have a drive thru. They have a lot of fun specials like the hailey bieber smoothie, dubai latte, blueberry pancakes latte and more! I have always wanted to try the hailey bieber smoothie so i got that (and my bank account hurt after seeing it was $17) but it looked stunning! I thought it was going to be strawberry and banana heavy, but honestly i'm not even sure what the exact flavor was, but it was a fun experience! I also got their grilled chicken caesar wrap which was sooooo delish. It had such a delicious caesar dressing and the ratio of lettuce to chicken was on point. I highly recommend! I also tried their chocolate chip cookie which was phenomenal!

Located in Monroe off of the Turnpike you'll find Village Coffee inside of the new Noble gas station. The town has not had many options for good coffee or healthy meals, it's so nice to have something that is conveniently located. Village Coffee Bar offers protein shakes with many health booster add-in options, gelato, açaí bowls, salads, tostatos, paninis, sandwiches and more! The team aims to create a friendly and enjoyable environment for everyone who visits. They even offer a drive-thru and will be continuing to evolve their seating areas inside & out. There is parking available, and you can of course grab gas while you stop! I had the pleasure of trying a pistachio latte with pistachio cold foam (which was delicious!) For food: the New Yorker (lox bagel), PB Banana Bonanza (on croissant), Avocado delight (toast), and sampled their Kay's special (chicken salad with cashews). Key Features: drive-thru, indoor seating, outdoor seating, milk alternatives (including pistachio milk), breakfast, lunch and coffee options, rotating specials menu.

Amazing food, service, and coffee!! The food was very fresh and light! Do not let the fact it's in a gas station keep you away.

Village Coffee is taking gas station coffee to a whole new level! My friend and I popped in for a quick breakfast/lunch, and we both agreed we've never experience higher quality food at a gas station before. There's freshly baked pastries, healthy choices, fall-inspired coffees, and our panini even came with freshly sliced meat and cheese! The pistachio affogato was a nice treat afterwards too. I wish I lived closer so I could pop through the drive thru often! Monroe is lucky to have such a high-quality, convenient option.

DELICIOUS .... a HIDDEN gem!…read more Walking in, this place is very warm and inviting. Walls are filled with local art for sale, and lots of plants! Came here after stumbling on this place searching "vegan coffee shop", wow did they deliver! The staff is super friendly, and had great recommendations! There had to be at least 5 vegan options, options that were not just tofu! For those not vegan, like myself, plenty of yummy options with a flare. Get two of the vegan peanut butter brownie, it's well worth it! Found pricing to be fair, look forward to trying the coffee next time.

We received our food and drinks quickly. We ordered two iced strawberry matcha lattes. Unfortunately, they were pretty terrible and borderline undrinkable. I don't doubt that their coffee is good, but this was disappointing. The color was not great, it had no actual matcha flavor, and not nearly sweetened enough (even with the strawberry syrup). It pretty much tasted like chalky water with strawberry seeds. I ordered the turkey bacon, egg, Gouda cheese with spinach on a multigrain roll. I enjoyed it, and both the turkey and eggs were cooked well. I feel like there wasn't enough cheese, but maybe that's just me. However, the sandwich was kind of dry and I had to ask for ketchup so I could just have some moisture. My partner ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich. The chicken didn't have much flavor, but the sauce was good.

My friend and I both had burgers, which were delicious -- but what were REALLY awesome were the french fries. Slim, perfectly cooked and salted -- hoo mama. Other reviewers have mentioned that the menu has more of an Asian influence -- this continues to be true, and in fact, when we return I'd like to try some of those more specifically Asian or Asian-inspired dishes. One thing I perceived, though, was that the pickles on the burger were brined in something that tasted almost seafood-y -- I'm allergic so I don't think it was actual fish sauce or something, but something that gave it a slight fishy taste, like when you have seaweed. Anyway, that was the only thing I didn't care for -- but it didn't bother me enough to not want to try again! We loved the ambience and the location was also super convenient with free parking in the back. I'll update my review after my next visit!

3.5 stars We were on…read moreour way home from a road trip and were looking for a great lunch spot on our route, when we came across Foundry Kitchen and Tavern, which was located in the quaint town of Sandy Hook. As we drove through the village, we saw the restaurant on our left-hand side. It was housed in a historical brick building with a sprawling deck overlooking the Pootatuk River. It was a beautifully sunny day, so I immediately suggested that we dine outside. Unfortunately for us, the part of the balcony that was covered and offering live acoustic music was completely full. That meant that we were seated on the far edge of the patio with no shield from the strong sun or any ability to hear the tunes. In addition to the unideal seating, the food took a very long time to arrive, so I just sat there roasting. The server offered to move us inside, but we stuck it out for the view. I had ordered the Fattoush Salad with Chicken. The Mediterranean bowl included mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, kalamata olives, and fried naan croutons, though I had omitted the red onion that was also supposed to be in the blend. I had asked for the red wine vinaigrette on the side and wound up not using much of it. The salad was fresh and tasty, but the chicken had an odd preparation. It was not grilled (like I would have hoped for a healthy salad topper) and not deep-fried, but was roasted or pan-fried or something, which I had not expected. It had a crispy skin, but remained reasonably tender at least. I also grabbed a few of my partner's fries, which were excellent. After we wrapped up the meal, I stopped inside to cool off and use the facilities, which consisted of a singular, unisex bathroom in the corner of the rustic dining room. There was a bit of a line, and they could certainly have benefitted from additional restrooms. I really did like the antique atmosphere at Foundry Kitchen and Tavern, but I think that the heat just made the experience a bit challenging for me. I would definitely consider returning, but would be more diligent in my seating and food selections.

My daughter and I attended and we were impressed from the moment our car dropped us off in the front. We were greeted at the door by a professional employee. He took us back to a beautiful space with a marble table where we picked up our name tags. Nearby was the entrance to the huge room where all of the family members were seated at circular tables with white tablecloths. Each table had a beautiful flower arrangement in the center that didn't prevent us from seeing each of the family members around our table. The waiters were right on schedule with each course starting with our drinks. The food was delicious and naturally we had anniversary wedding cake for dessert. There was plenty of space for dancing with a dance floor. When we had the opportunity to move around to the other tables to chat we were not crowded in the space. I am highly recommending you consider Tashua Knolls for your special event.

The banquet room and facility in general is extremely dated. Looks like it was last decorated in the early 90's. Weird fake flowers and sconces. The "turkey" carving station had a large, shiny lump of chopped and formed turkey with a very pink hue. Almost like they bought the worst quality meat lump from a deli and called it turkey. Never seen anything like it. Even the ice cream was bad. I liked that there were healthy options, fresh sautéed veggies, etc. however it was completely unremarkable. This morning my partner and I woke up with diarrhea and nausea. We never have these issues except with food poisoning.

So, my wife and I, along with our tween daughter, visited Hilltop Kitchen on a whim last Saturday…read more First impressions were wonderful. The dining room was empty as we came early, and it looked beautiful. The entire restaurant, to the eye, is absolutely a vibe. There was one server on shift at the time and she was very nice and welcoming. We had very high hopes for the meal to come. We were fairly disappointed. It was during a brunch service. Initially ordered the calamari as an appetizer. Yes, calamari as a brunch app is kind of strange however since it was available I ordered it. I typically order this wherever I go, because I execution-wise, it's not the easiest thing to prepare correctly. This app was tiny, as in the serving size. Additionally the calamari itself was super small as well. No nice meaty rings. No crispy tentacles. Just a greasy mess. The dish purports the dipping sauce to be that of a fra diavolo, it was not. It was more like a marinara with chunky bits of aromatics and perhaps a bit of crushed red pepper. It was also very pricey given everything. Even if it were perfect, still on the pricey side. At the same time my daughter ordered French toast. For $18. We are talking $6 a slice of brioche. Wild business, that. As mains, my wife ordered the avocado toast. Which she actually seemed to enjoy, although the bread was soggy, and the other items on the plate severely lacking. I ordered the "lobster" cake eggs Benedict. If this was lobster, then I'm the Mother Theresa. It was, by my palate overly processed canned crab meat. At best, overly processed lobster meat, but I highly doubt that given the taste, color, and texture. The CRAB cake itself was meh, the accompanying potato hash was okay, and the hollandaise sauce was passable if not good. We ordered drinks as well. My lemon drop martinis were pretty good. My wife was dissatisfied with her margarita, then ordered a dirty martini that was okay. We walked out with a tab of nearly $200. To say it was worth the money would be absurd. I hate to be so blatantly honest with this review, but this experience (food and drink-wise) was not one I would recommend.
