He's extremely friendly and when my mom comes in without me or vice versa he will check in and ask about us. This a cute place tucked away in Fairfield, CT. The location has ample parking. The inside is cozy and inviting with lots of seating. You can see people of different ages just chatting or working on their laptops . They sell many local Connecticut products. There is a juice bar, an ice cream shop area, they have homemade cookies, coffee and food to order. I only ordered a caramel iced coffee. The taste was just ok. The girl poured it from a pre-made milk coffee pitcher which I was not expecting. It wasn't the greatest. They had a large food menu which looked fairly priced but I did not order food. Best place in Fairfield for casual meet up for coffee or breakfast/lunch with friends or solo. I'm addicted to their BEC for bkfst and the tasty tuna is my go to for lunch. Cute, pleasant and roomy space located in the back section of the Sportsplex area in Fairfield with ample parking. There are plenty of tables and great natural light. I saw quite a few people on their laptops so it seems like a nice and relaxed atmosphere to work or study while sipping coffee, kombucha, or tea. Their website states they have excellent Wi-Fi. I came for the freshly brewed green iced tea. I like that the cups are on display to show the different size options. They have breakfast and lunch choices-even pizza- all listed for easy viewing. A nice variety of baked goodies were available and I could not resist grabbing a few freshly baked cookies. They also carry Lyman Orchards pies! Nice. They have ice cream too. Super fun relaxed spot that manages to be a coffee shop, draft kombucha bar, local market, and ice cream shop. Love the wide selection of locally brewed kombucha. I get that you were busy. Ok, 25 minute wait for my egg sandwich. What I don't get is that it sat there for 5 minutes before it put in the pick up area. I stood there waiting because the way you run the pick space leaves food and drinks to be touched by a bunch of other people. Sleek and modern little industrial/sports complex area with this not so small gem set in the back. Plenty of parking amongst the Cross Fit and Ice Hockey buildings. They did a beautiful job with the space, which is huge but still cozy with the white exposed brick and coffee house music, natural and green colored furniture and enormous windows letting in the natural light. Wide variety of coffee standards plus a Kombucha bar, great selection of my very favorite Fire Cider and a pleasant assortment of hipster snacks, fixings and dry goods ( like IPA honey). There are no price tags, which is always a bad sign. I went specifically for a gift item that's listed on its company website as being sold at this shop. The item was $8.50 online, so I figured that Candlewood would buy it wholesale and mark it up by a few dollars, but it was $18.75. Yes, I had to ask a clerk for the price, and no, I didn't buy it. Service was subpar, the place seemed to be run by teenagers. I asked for my food to-go and I got it on 2 coffee filters? I've been trying to go for several months after rock climbing, not realizing they close at 4 pm on Sunday! Just picked up 3 $5 containers of their kombucha. It's light and not too sweet, so it's very refreshing! My favorites are black & white and jasmine. The staff is super friendly, and Nicole was awesome. She even took time to remove the bubbles from the take home jugs. I love that they give a discount on the teas when you bring back the bottles, so that's an eco-friendly way to save a few cents. Nice place. Just stopped in for the first time. Friendly staff, clean location with 2 sides coffee and pastries and then some brew. It was 10 am so I just tried the coffee. I thought the place would be smaller based on its location at the end of the building. But it is much bigger on the inside. Seems like a comfortable spot to meet a few people for a drink. I just realized I am the first reviewer so I should give a little more information. This place is located in the sportsplex so if you have to drop the kids off for gymnastics, climbing or anything else in the area it is worth the stop. We had several drinks. Hot chocolate was excellent, the dark roast coffee was great - a nice deep flavor but not burnt. I also had a decaf which was good. I looked at the pastries but did get one. I love this place. A friend of mine suggested it a few months ago, and I've been a regular ever since. The food is delicious; the environment is very open and clean, lots of natural light, and excellent coffee. The staff is accommodating and super friendly. They understand excellent customer service! The parking is never an issue, and it's tucked behind the Fairfield Sportsplex. I'm a regular Starbucks customer, too, but when I have the chance, I come here instead. Don't miss out! Great find although hard to notice. Location is their issue as they are hidden away in Sportsplex but don't let that deter you. I really like this place and the "vibe". Very clean, comfortable and I quite enjoyed coffee, breakfast sandwich, and free wifi. Staff was super nice. Have to work up to their cold brewed coffee and Kombucha bar at some point. I really hope they make it as this is one of those hidden cool places in Fairfield. We need more of them. They are the only places I bother to write a review for if deserving. read more
