We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Glad it's not crowded and near our son's place. We were immediately seated after walked in. Menu is extensive, covers almost everything you can expect for a Mexican restaurant. After serious debating, i ordered their fried whole fish, it come out later than the tacos, but taste good. Need a little extra salt and pepper, lemon juice also helped. A little hard to eat with folks, as it has been fried pretty hard, eventually i used hand. Yummy. Everything taste better with hand. Guys are happy with their tacos and tequila! Good dinner! The only complain i have is they serve our water very late, only at the time we almost finished dinner. Guys are ok as they are drinking tequila shots. I don't have anything to drink.

I have gotten tacos as well; always great. I appreciate they use glasses for drinks and don't use plastic cups like some other places. Boyf likes the $19 pitchers of draft beer that saves $. I hope they are able to stick around awhile; they seem to have a good customer base, both dine-in and carryout. The service has been very good.
Let me preface this - my first visit was thanks to a Yelp event arranged by Jasmine. Because I read everything on the walls - I won a gift card. And because of their service and food - I knew we would be coming back. Everything was amazing. Perfectly cooked, fresh, so full of flavor. I opted for Pollo al Chipotle- a nice mild smokiness. My date ordered carnitas quesadillas, and of course we ordered the street corn. Their street corn - you just want to wrap yourself in it. It's just so delicious and easy to smash. I'd say the biggest mark against them is - getting there. It's the damn weird intersection and Waze wanted me to stop at the Main Street, no their actual street. The food and service are amazing, and the margaritas were perfectly mixed - I am looking forward to returning, because it's rare to find such a gem that just knocks it out of the park like they have!

But these weren't just freebies tossed in a bag--they were being hand-engraved by Danielle Janeen Calligraphy right there on the spot. Watching your name etched into glass while sipping mezcal? That's how you start a night right. We grabbed a table with fellow food lovers--Anna, Les, Vy, Heithem, and Tara--and conversation flowed instantly. Then came the moment of truth. Owner Alfredo Flores stepped up to welcome everyone, and instead of the standard "cheers," he handed out mezcal shots topped with an orange slice and... a smoked grasshopper. Yes. A grasshopper. Jiminy Cricket was on my glass. I hesitated for about two seconds, then went for it. And you know what? It was smooth, smoky, and surprisingly tasty. The mezcal had a beautiful depth, the orange added brightness, and the grasshopper brought a crunch that somehow worked. Consider me converted. From there, the food started rolling, and the night only got better. Terra Mezcal is the East side of Columbus. The road near the entrance is undergoing construction so it's little hard to get to. The place is not your fancy place has a little dingy vibes. The servers are nice and sweet. We had some amazing drinks. Definitely try Smoked pineapple mezcal Tamarind Micheleda For Apps we tried the Queso and Ceviche. Ceviche was good lacked some seasoning and the lemony tang. The tacos were great. The salsas are fantastic Definitely recommend

I came here during taco week and it did not disappoint! First, the salsa was the best I have ever had. Keep in mind that I do not like spicy so there is where others may differ. The service was personal and attentive. I ordered the fish taco, carnita and chicken tacos. I omitted cilantro on all and added rice and sour cream. They were so so good! They grill the corn tortillas so you get that crispy bite and it keeps them together. The place was clean and welcoming. Although the outside could be better
This establishment is ideal for a date night or a family outing. In my opinion, the cuisine is positioned on the upscale end of the dining spectrum. It is undoubtedly one of the premier Mexican restaurants on the north east side of Columbus. All dishes are prepared fresh to order, and they consistently deliver exceptional quality. Additionally, they offer catering services, which enables them to bring the festive atmosphere to your location. Some of the items I ordered included the Chicharron Guacamole, which is one of my preferred appetizers here, rivaling their Ceviche in terms of excellence. The street tacos presented an assortment of their finest offerings, comprising Fish, Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Birria Tacos. The Churros were served fresh and hot. A visual inspection of the accompanying photographs and their exceptional service will confirm this assessment. I also had the opportunity to try a couple of their signature beverages, specifically the Mango Mezcal and Strawberry Margarita.
The food and service here are ! The shrimp cocktail was super fresh and packed with flavor. The classic burger hit the spot--juicy and cooked just right. And the mango margarita? So smooth and refreshing, not too sweet, just perfect. Big shoutout to Hugo and Alicea for the amazing service--friendly, on point, and really made the whole experience even better. At first glance was I a bit hesitant to go inside based off the exterior, yes. WOW am I glad I chose to stay and go inside. The seafood tasted very fresh! Most importantly the server was very sweet, kept checking up on us. Overall a great experience. I had one drink and wow was that drink strong but very good tasting. Will definitely return.
It's Taco Tuesday so I thought I'd try someplace new and different. I finished up shopping at Easton so pulled out Yelp and did a search for Tacos. This spot popped up so I thought I'd give it a try. While the outside of the building needs some attention, once you get inside you are transported to a fun, nice feeling restaurant. This is a big space which would be great for a party or big gathering of friends. It was clean, friendly and fun. I had to try their margaritas so I ordered me up one of their traditional margaritas to start. Wow! If the food is anything like the margarita, this is going to be great. It was smooth and I could tell will pack a punch. The menu is huge so you'll have no trouble finding something to feed your crew. The hardest part will be narrow it down to finally pick something. I ended up ordering a shrimp quesadilla and a few fish tacos. My appetite isn't huge today so I thought this might be a good simple test of their food. Ok, I can't tell your how impressed I was with not only the presentation of the food but also with the flavor! Wow! They exceeded my expectations. How have I not found them sooner. Please don't let this area of town or the outside building keep you from experiencing this hidden gem. I definitely be back, but next time I'll bring friends. So glad I found this spot!

20 min & no sign of our food! Terrible experience. Chips & salsa came out right away and we ordered lunch. The waitress disappeared. 16 min after ordering - A different waitress dropped the wrong food at our table and left. I didn't get a chance to say it was not our food. She came back and took it off our table. I hope she wasn't going to give that to another customer. Bad bad bad! I waited 4-5 more minutes. Nothing was said and no sign of our food. We left without getting our food. Sad. This was not a good experience. Bathrooms - awful! The men's only stall was out of order. It smelled so bad back in that hallway, yuck! read more

We wandered in on a slow Wednesday night. I had seen/heard various reviews recently so we were in this side of town and decided to pop in. Man, are we glad we did. Excellent margs. Their recipes are amazingly fresh tasting. Check online for all the choices. We had the house marg and the Mezcalita. Both 5*. I had an array of tacos (beef, chicken, veg) wife had a salad bowl with roasted veg. Both 5*. The menus is well varied to include many more items other than tacos. Again check online. Excellent service Fernanda. They are open at 11 for breakfast. I think this is my new go-to for Mexican cuisine. read more
For my first stop in at Casa mezcal, I found myself looking over the menu and finding several ceviches in the appetizer section. Well, I'm always up for a challenge so I ordered the tostada de ceviche with Pulpo and three tacos, since it was Taco tuesday. I was pleasantly surprised by both. I had neglected to mention mild on the ceviche but it didn't matter, as the ceviche was not that spicy to begin with. It was excellent. I haven't seen radishes on top of three chairs since I left New York City or Baltimore. And the tacos were traditional Mexican Street tacos, not American fair. They were all excellent, and I even brought one of them home that I couldn't finish it all. This will not be my last trip. In addition I looked up and found a bottle of Remy Martin staring me in the face. Nothing much, just my favorite drink. And since their Tacos on Taco Tuesday or $2 a piece, I'll be returning either tonight or next week for dinner; with four. $2 a taco is a steal!! read more

Hello again... are you looking for a good Mexican food spot? Don't let the location dissuade you from coming here. I know on the outside it doesn't look like much, but the inside has a lot more to offer. If you ever want to know if they're open, they have plenty of signs to indicate when they are. I know on the outside it's hard to tell but trust me this is a gem that is hiding. Every time that I've come here, the staff has been super nice and accommodating. This time we sat at the bar area which was very well kept and decorated. Since it was restaurant week, I had to try one of their signature drinks that they had listed on their menu.. "Dancing with the Devil Mezcal" Boy, this drink did not disappoint. It came with burning rosemary, and the scent of it wafting across the room. It created an experience I was not expecting not to mention, that this drink was also quite tasty. I could've drank several more! Their chips, salsa and guacamole are all made in house, and you could taste the freshness of the guacamole. By far one of the best guacamole I've had in a while. I had the burrito bowl with steak and my friend had the shrimp ceviche. The steak was not over cooked and the flavors were well done. I also really liked their hot sauce. I ended up putting a ton on my burrito bowl, and ....maybe.... added it to the rest of my chips and salsa..... maybe... The portions were well sized, and I end up, taking most of it home with me... This is our second time at Frutimix. We love the food and service. However this time we had a horrible experience with the restroom. Carne Asada entree fantastic Joe's Smoothie 5/5 wonderful Bathrooms - negative 1,00,000 / 5. Women's room, one stall had poop all over the place, and a fly swirling around it. The next stall had wet toilet paper all over the floor. Women's room also didn't have soap so they had to go into the men's room to get soap. Apparently the urinals were full of urine. Sounds disgusting , hearing the story made me think about how my food may have been prepared. We look forward to bring our rating back up to a 5 if the bathroom situation is solved. Update: the owner of the store got back to me and said that they promptly took care of the matter. My favorite Mexican in town, we look forward to going back. read more
The space is nice inside. Good table spacing, love the lighting - sufficient, several different hanging lighting options (chandeliers, carrying pendant lights hanging, etc.). The hostess lady and our server gal were both great - funny sense of humor, polite, checked in at all the right times. We all got Columbus Taco Week tacos. I tried the pastor and fish. Their pastor is diced up, as well as the pineapple, which was a cute touch. My meat was a touch over cooked, but the flavor was still good; I really enjoyed the fish tacos; the avocado couldn't have been more ripe and flavorful, it was the perfect ingredient to tie in the fish and flavorful chipotle mayo. I would definitely put this in my rotation if I lived closer. Oh! And Frutimix's tacos normally are only $2.50, a great deal. Yes, their tacos might be a smidge smaller than most authentic Mexican joints, but if that's the case, it's hardly noticeable; considering the great price/quality comparison, hands-down a great place to curb your Mexican cravings! read more

Was very pleasantly surprised by this place. I really wanted a shrimp taco so I looked on door dash and found this place. Their menu has a ton of variety, from traditional Mexican foods to seafood to fruit bowls. I went with a variety of tacos and their fruit sensation smoothie. The tacos were pretty loaded with meat although small in size. They weren't expensive though (about $3 each) so I thought it was a good value. The smoothie was super fresh tasting, I could tell they used real fruit not syrups. I'd definitely like to check out this places breakfast. The sandwich sounds sooooo good. read more

This place is a little hidden gem. Authentic Mexican food with lots of good options. The smoothies were delicious but not sweet as it is just the dairy and fruit so don't expect something like smoothie king. The food was fresh and the service was very friendly. Great local spot. read more

I ordered the chips and guacamole and the coctel de camaron (shrimp cocktail). The guac was above average, but cost $8 and consisted of a small condiment container of guacamole (a little bigger than one you'd put, say, ketchup in) and a small bag of fresh chips. The Mexican shrimp cocktail was $18 and had 3 medium size shrimp on an admittedly large layer of sauce. Everything was OK, but at this price point, those sizes are just too small. read more

We went during restaurant week. The server we had was phenomenal - I wish I knew his name to give him a shout out but he recommended great shots for us and was so polite and helpful. Food was delicious, especially the chorizo queso!! read more
