We hired Chimcare to fix our chimney and replace our insert. They sent an employee over to assess…read morethe situation and let the crew know what they needed to complete the job. He sent me a very complete list, but apparently the crew did not get it. The crew showed up to repair the chimney and was up on my roof for a good part of the day. Before leaving they told me the job was completed. The insert technician showed up to put the new fire place in an couldn't, because the chimney was NEVER repaired. ‍ When they returned and asked why the job was not done (even though I was told it was) they said they didn't have the materials to do it. Finally, we thought the job was complete. The first winter storm, at the beach, blew the entire top of the chimney. Note, no other neighbors had chimney damage from the storm. For every appointment they have been 1.5 to 2 hours late. GPS gives them a clear idea that it takes 2.5 hours to drive from their business to my home. When I contact them, after they are a half hour late, I'm told they left an hour ago. NOT RELIABLE! I am left feeling very uncertain if the job has been done correctly.

He was Very Kind & Gracious every step of the way. Pricing was fair. Ricky was flexible, and adapted to our changing wishes about the work, as it went along. He has a Keen Eye For Detail, and he's Very Conscientious. He sealed our concrete driveway and sidewalk, as well as applying a Beautifully Decorative Trim on the Driveway, and All Along our Stamped Concrete Pathways that encircle our house. But most impressive to me was his masonry work. He restored and sealed our terraced stone front yard, that had been crumbling apart for several years. He ground out the cracks and the old crumbling mortar, and replaced it with a mortar that matched our stones much better than the original. He added years of life to the steps and top platform. Plus he added new stones where we wanted them, matching them pretty well, even though our type of original stones are no longer available in our area. I've looked. I had a 70 year old retaining wall next to the sidewalk that was failing - large cracks, leaning…read moreout. A serious hazard and potential liability. Previous owners planted large shrubs next to the wall, making things worse. Most of the professionals I talked to wanted to repair this wall. Ricky Lemon said it would be a lot of work, and expensive, but he agreed with me that the wall had to go. He and his small crew tore out the wall and the shrubs, hauled off the debris, and installed French drains and a terraced block wall that looks great in about two weeks of really hard work. Mr Lemon and his crew were respectful, pleasant to interact with, always willing to explain what they were doing, considerate of me and my neighbors, and really a delight to have working on my property. The work was top notch. The crew worked hard in hot weather - and I like this about Ricky Lemon - he provided cold drinks for his crew, insisted that they take breaks, and did not work during the two hottest days (so far) in July. In the end, he added railings on both sides of the two flights of steps up to my front door. Since I am as old as that wall was, I am really grateful that he did the extra work to find good-looking, sturdy, safe railings for me. The whole thing looks great now - I need to plant some flowers in the terraces, but it is too hot for that just now. If you hire Ricky Lemon, you will get someone who is a really good worker, who produces a great result - someone who knows what he is doing and does it really, really well.

Called again to have them install a gas log kit I bought. many would only install what they sell you or charge for an estimate. they worked quickly and were conscientious to leave everything clean.
