I've always had a solid experience. This time, I came with more purpose. We finally bought a window box for summer and wanted to fill it with a nice variety of spring and summer flowers. As other reviews mention, Chelsea Garden Center is on the pricey side, but not wildly expensive. They have the best variety I found in Brooklyn, even more so than Home Depot or Lowe's. I was able to fill my flower box with about $60 worth of flowers. I was really hoping to get some pansies, but they didn't have them. But I got some gorgeous petunias!

Every week or so they have new varieties of plants. Depending on the day most of their plants are either inside or outside! Maria is also incredibly kind. Even though there are places that sell flowers closer to me, I make a point to come here because I genuinely enjoy supporting this business. When I've had healthy plants that I no longer had room for, they've been happy to take them and give them a new home. It's clear they care about both plants and the local community. Over the years I've purchased a Monstera Thai Constellation, a huge Philodendron Jungle Boogie, variegated pineapple mint, satin pothos, a large mature Ming aralia tree, variegated thyme, morning glories, and more. I've also seen beautiful varieties of marantas, calatheas, rose bushes, mandevillas, hydrangeas, snake plants, succulents, cacti, trees, carnivorous pitcher plants, philodendrons (pink princess, brazil,, anthuriums, ficus (ruby variegated rubber tree), begonias, scindapsus pictus (including the exotica), pothos, anthuriums, money trees, aglonemas, alocasias, peperomias, colocasias, tradescantia, pileas, monsteras and many other plants. It's not the largest space but all of the plants are organized in a way that allows you to see their vast selection. They have a large variety of dried flowers as well. Most of the stuff seems to be Japanese with touches of Brooklyn. I thought their prices were reasonable for the flours.
