Fun live music nights at the casino and they serve hot dogs! Won a $25 hot seat while gambling too!

We love the staff here. The servers are so personable. The duces is a great breakfast...my hubbys favorite. Our daughter loves the chicken fingers kid meal. I love their patty melt...one of the best I've ever tried. Their cheese steak is very tasty too. It's old....and definitely not anything fancy....but for itty bitty Searchlight it's pretty good.

Not much in between Vegas and Laughlin so Terribles Roadhouse gets three stars. Also a super nice bartender. Otherwise it's a sad place with a small casino (slots) and a Denny's. Two entrances but go in the one that says saloon. L-shaped bar with maybe 15 well padded "Vegas" stools. Poker machines mostly but the inner part of the L has a couple normal bar seats. Back bar is shelves, bottles and HDTVs. Some low tables in front of bar. Also a dance floor and live music on weekends. Smoking of course. Assume the food is from Denny's but didn't eat. $2 beers hard to complain about.

    It's now a Denny's - so expect a Denny's- very COVID compliant. Connected to a casino

The Searchlight Nugget is an old school casino that isn't really that old. The Doing family built the casino in 1979. Since that time it has been a stop for people traveling between Las Vegas and destinations that include Cottonwood Cove and Laughlin. It has been a place to stop and not sleep. The Searchlight Nugget is a small building with a large restaurant, casino with primarily slots, gift shop, and a bar. After a few hours of relaxation and recreation in Cottonwood Cove (14 miles east), I was up for a cup of coffee as I approached the crossroads of Searchlight. Regardless that I wasn't too hungry, I figured over a cup of coffee that I'd check out the menu. Maybe I'd get dessert. US 95 in rural Searchlight is a different ribbon of concrete than in Las Vegas. Contrary to the hyper busy freeway it travels on at the Spaghetti Bowl in downtown Las Vegas, an hour south it is a rural two lane roadway regulating traffic with a strictly enforced 25 M. P. H. speed limit. Just like the section of highway it sits off of, the Searchlight Nugget is an open space without crowds. This is the casino I walked into. On Super Bowl Sunday, the small surface parking lot was mostly empty. The first thing that caught my attention were the signs saying that the Searchlight is not responsible for something happening to your car. That causes me to ponder if there has been breakins here. The second thing that caught my attention is this mutant size chair inside that looks like it was made for Big Foot. From the entrance I saw everything. In back of the small casino stood the bar. On Super Bowl Sunday it was lifeless. I headed to the restaurant on the right for a cup of coffee. Searchlight Casino's gimick is their 10 cents coffee. I didn't really care about the price. I'm a Starbuck's regular. I cared about the taste. In this large restaurant absent of patrons, I made my way to the counter. I'd share it with one other person. I'd pass over the food and a beer. Upon a glance at the menu, I observed some decent food specials including spaghetti and meatballs for $8.99. I just wasn't hungry. I'd pass over a beer because I was on the approaching tired side. I didn't want to drive buzzed and do something foolish like drive 27 M.P.H. in a 25 M.P.H. speed zone. Do you remember the show Alice with Mel's Diner? I expected a Mel's Diner style greasy spoon with service issues. That was only an expectation. The server at the counter was pleasant and persistent with coffee refills poured in a clean up. I expected decent coffee. The coffee was the decent diner coffee that I have been accustomed to in the days before Starbuck's came into my life. This coffee was inferior to the coffee house chains at the same time it was superior to the coffee that Village Pub recently served me. It was a decent tasting caffeine boost that kept me wide awake for the miles of desert ahead. Now that I gave my 10 cents worth about the Searchlight Nugget, there is something that I ought to mention. The owner is looking to sell the Searchlight Nugget with numerous properties in Searchlight. It will be interesting to see the development in the future or demise of the Searchlight Nugget.

I paid 100% in advance. I was picked up by the airport nearly one hour late. When the driver, Taylor, got out of the car a huge cloud of marijuana smoke came out with him. It wasn't a limo or town car but an older model, dirty Mercedes - perhaps 15 years old, very small with a tiny backseat. There barely any room for my carryon bag in his trunk - and I had to cram into the back seat because he had a dog in the front seat with him. Taylor was pretty spaced out and had trouble finding my hotel, the Vdarra. He was also unfamiliar with other Vegas landmarks - like the Aria, the Bellagio, Park MGM. I had to pull out my phone to help him navigate to my hotel. He apologized for being late and not having a town car or limo - but he said the limo had been locked up or repo'd and Peter was working to get it out. I was really worried that he lacked the competence to pick me up for the game - so after confirming he was the driver for the next day, I showed him that he should pick me up at the exact same spot he dropped me off at - and I explained it was critical that he wasn't late. I also reminded him a friend would be joining me, so we would need a bigger car or at least the front seat free of his dog. Taylor no-showed the next day of course. We called, texted, yelp-messaged and availed ourselves of every contact number we had. No one answered. No one came. After about 75 minutes of this we took a taxi. About 3 hours later, Taylor texted and said he was sorry - he didn't realize his phone was on vibrate and missed all of our texts and phone calls. He claimed he was there the whole time, however (he absolutely wasn't). Peter also yelp-messaged about the same time saying "Let me try!" and nothing more. He refused my requests to call me. After the game, surprise-surprise, they no-showed again. We waited about an hour and a half in the designated meeting spot with no response to phone calls or texts. Eventually, found a free driver to take us back to the hotel for $100. And again, with no surprise, they no-showed the pre-booked trip to the airport. Still no call or contact from Peter and team. While their rate was very competitive, this company is a clown act. If you must book them, absolutely do not pay in advance and I would never, ever, trust them with anything important.

Update since posting... driver is continuously harassing me to take this post down. I'm very upset at his unprofessionalism and threatening to sue stating I'm not a customer. I am not going to take down an honest review! Good luck to you and your business but I will not be harassed and I've attached my receipt for proof. It was night time so staging the limo in the sun would not have much to do with it.
