My sister and I sopped in at Denny's this morning on the way back to Bullhead City AZ from Henderson NV. This was only the second time I have visited this establishment. Our server was Katie, she was great. Her presence and personality was so pleasant, easy going and helpful. The food was also delicious. I had two choices in mind but, I asked Katie which she preferred. I took her suggestion, added the avocado and I was not disappointed. Driving to Las Vegas from El Centro, California takes you on some back roads without much in the way of services. It was noon and we were getting hungry. We brought snacks but it was too cold and windy to sit outside at a rest stop (we tried) and our choices were slim. We checked Yelp and found Terrible's Road House. Thanks fellow Yelpers! Luckily, it's hard to miss. Big signs by road and on the restaurant which has a bright red roof. The entrance is marked and has slot machines to make sure you know that you are in Nevada! The restaurant is pretty good sized with lots of tables, booths and a counter area The menu has plenty of variety. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day (except baked potatoes only after 4pm). Hubs ordered the Fish Sandwich with fries. The roll was soft with a good flavor, the fish was crunchy outside, tender inside. Hubs loved the fries as well. I had the Low-Cal Special which comes with a lean burger patty or chicken breast with cottage cheese, tomato slices and mixed fresh fruit. It was really good. It had lots of different flavors. My only negative was the burger was a bit rubbery and melon in the fruit mix was bad and some of its flavor got on the other fruit-even though I removed the juice with a paper napkin. Terrible's restaurant even has a small bar in the back complete with pool table. We really enjoyed our meal and recommend trying it if your ever out in Searchlight, Nevada. read more

We love the staff here. The servers are so personable. The duces is a great breakfast...my hubbys favorite. Our daughter loves the chicken fingers kid meal. I love their patty melt...one of the best I've ever tried. Their cheese steak is very tasty too. Not much in between Vegas and Laughlin so Terribles Roadhouse gets three stars. Also a super nice bartender. Otherwise it's a sad place with a small casino (slots) and a Denny's. Two entrances but go in the one that says saloon. L-shaped bar with maybe 15 well padded "Vegas" stools. Poker machines mostly but the inner part of the L has a couple normal bar seats. Back bar is shelves, bottles and HDTVs. Some low tables in front of bar. Also a dance floor and live music on weekends. Smoking of course. Assume the food is from Denny's but didn't eat. $2 beers hard to complain about. read more

Every Wednesday for the last year several friends of mine and I had taken the long trek from Las Vegas to Searchlight Nevada, included in this trip is dinner at Terrible Road House. Terribles diner is an amazing place to grab a bite, the service is amazing. Michael the waiter that takes care of us on Wednesday night is amazing. Food is delicious and inexpensive but the smoke from the small casino will have you going home to shower. They need a better filtration especially since this place has children eating there an it is one of the best places to eat in town read more

In the middle of nowhere (aka Searchlight), is a little Oasis with a gas station, a casino and bar (this is Nevada after all), a restaurant that currently doesn't serve dinner (want a job?), Liquor and Slots store, and a McDonald's. Take your pick. read more

Hopped off of the road long enough for breakfast. Found cheerful waitfolk, good coffee. We both ordered omlettes that were fluffy and very tasty. Coffee kept full and hot. Added fresh fruit instead of taters and got nice fat blueberries, strawberries that were actually ripe, and some fresh melon. Well worth the stop on the way through to somewhere. Note: Don't be a jerk and blow through town at 75. There are folk strolling about and the speed limit signs are there for a reason. And there's a nice man with a radar gun to help if you need the reminder. read more

Terribles recently bought this place (enough said). I ordered a BBQ sandwich. The menu states it is "delicious". I expected good homemade smoked BBQ on a kaiser bun. What did I get put in front of me? Even I can't believe this...a cheap hamburger bun with slices of beef (lunchmeat) with 8 gallons of bottled bbq sauce dumped on top. Literally could not even eat it. DISGUSTING FOOD!!! I refused to pay and walked out. read more

Driving through searchlight and decided to stop here for a bite to eat on our way back to vegas. Would of gave 5 stars but it took about 35 mins for some breakfast but it was worth it, I think they had a huge party before us, all is good though because Food was great and service was very friendly and welcoming. Keeping track of twenty to forty of us arriving at different times once a week and sitting at one big table.... Having been a waiter myself I know how difficult it can be. Been coming here nearly once a week for three years with a large group of friends. The food is OK, and recently the service has improved. Several of us are Vietnam vets and they offer a military discount. Well this week, I picked up the check for the table ($201) and all they gave me was a 90c discount -- I immediately questioned that, two employees looked at the ticket, and said "that's what it is". Stopped for breakfast on the way to the river. One of my husbands favorite places for chicken fried steak and their famous "High Desert Special." They never disappoint. Servers were friendly and kept our drinks filled. It's a casino so of course the smoke smell isn't the best but if you want a great meal it's a nice place to stop. Stop in for burgers yesterday after marking course for Laughlin race. ordered med and they came out very well done and dry plus after waiting 35 min the waitress came out and said the fryer was down so no fries!!! Took for ever to get are food one in our party sent his back and didn't eat!!! My wifes patty melt was burnt bread and the patty the same way. The only thing that came out right was breakfast one in our party of 6 ordered. Needless to say I won't be back. As I walked up, I was kind of worried that it would not be that great. Typical diners aren't the best food; however, this diner has delicious food. Stopped here on our way home to Henderson from Laughlin. Service was good and the food too. The three other women in my party had chili and chicken quesadillas. They said the chili was excellent and the quesadillas were as good or better than their favorite place at home for Mexican food. I had the gold miners special which was a huge cornmeal muffin with breakfast sausage, onion and egg with country gravy which was very delicious. None of us were able to finish our plates...very generous portions. My daughter wanted iced coffee, which they do not have on the menu, however the waitress brought separate cups of ice, milk, and coffee so she could make her own. The food is not from a box or a frozen meal that is nuked so don't expect your food to come in a few seconds. If that is what you're looking for, there's a McDonalds. This a great spot for those wanting to rest a bit over a nice home cooked meal. read more
