I requested that we use text messaging and so we communicated that way, which I prefer. He gave me a written quote and explained the process to me. When he said everything was included, I was skeptical. I asked if that included the outside wire, the charge from NYSEG for the upgrade, and a 3rd party inspector (required by NYSEG). He said yes. He explained it would take one day. We scheduled a WED and everything went well except for a minor snag. The electrical lineman from NYSEG was waiting for Wes to show up at 9am when Wes just wanted the service disconnected and he would be there an hour later. I called Wes and he explained to them that he just wanted a disconnect and then they should come back for the re-connect. Then Wes went to work, wired up the panel very cleanly, and got power back up by the end of the day. He didn't finish all the labeling (my panel was an ugly, unlabeled mess before), so he cae back a few days later to help with that. I really appreciated talking to the guy who would do the work; that way there wasn't much that would be lost in communication. Wes also told me his experience working at the Port Authority in New Jersey on giant cranes. So he has many many years of experience. You should also be prepared that Wes will recommend lots of upgrades because "things aren't done right". Like GFCI outlets in the kitchen where there is water. This is code today but wasn't code many years ago. So, take these recommendations seriously, but he's not trying to oversell you like a car salesman. I may be slightly biased because my structural contractor, whom I love, recommended Wes. But Wes did a great job and earns this 5-star recommendation. The price was roughly $1800 for the job. No hidden fees.

Rob quickly found that the motor was bound and offered to get a replacement after trying to fix with 3 in 1 oil. They were not able to find a replacement motor but during their journey to Home Depot the motor was unbound by the 3 in 1 oil. Rob returned the motor to its housing and reinstalled. Instead of costing me extra money with total replacement they fixed the issue in the current fan. Honest people giving great value. Definitely recommend for any of your electrical work.

He also let a lot of water drain out onto an unpainted plywood floor with was aborbed into the plywood and took days to dry up. He complained about heat in the boiler room and how small the space was to work in. Finally on day three he was connecting thermostat wires to new boiler when he discovered some prior service tech had wired three of the 4 zones to one zone so now when a thermostat is calling for heat all zones are activated to reach the temp that zone 4 is set at. He claimed to fix this was too time consuming and complicated and he had other customers that needed his services so he left without ever setting up another appointment.

People dont understand that being a plumber in this day and age is tough with material allocation being insane. Homeowners don't understand how hard these guys have to work and they do work hard. They are professional, trustworthy and honest. Unlike other plumbers when they cut holes out of your wall they make a nice clean cut for easy patching and always clean up after themselves. They use moving blankets to protect the area they are working in and make sure to discuss the job with you before they start working. If you need quality service work these are the guys you want at your disposal. They are locals and very tight nit with the Ithaca community. One minute they are changing out your shower diverter amd an hour later they are installing steam piping at breweries. These guys do ALOT pf different jobs big and small. Give them credit where the credit os due. I dont care how many times they have to go get parts. Things change in a split second and your old ass house is the problem not them 100% of the time.

The good news is that unlike many folks in Ithaca, these guys actually pick up the phone. The bad…read morenews is that the service leaves a lot to be desired. I had a plumber look at a water pressure issue (apparently nothing to be done about that, so no worries) and a dripping tap. The plumber disassembled the tap, told me they needed to order a part - as usual, these always require some brand specific cartridge - and they'd get back to me once they sourced it. He did not put the tap back together properly, so I had to figure out how to reassemble it myself, and Warden never called me back about the replacement part. Weeks later I still have a dripping tap. Would not call these folks again, guess I'll teach myself how to replace the cartridge on my own so I can be assured of a decent job.
