The Director, Miss Elena, met with us for over an hour and has continued to be engaged and dedicated in conversations about our son's development. In the time he has been at TLE, our son has blossomed and grown in so many ways. From reinforcing learning we do at home, to teaching him so many new and exciting things, the teachers at TLE are kind, professional and most important to me, loving. He has so much fun at school and has been enriched by the friendships he's made and the things he has learned. TLE is truly a wonderful addition to any parents childcare village.

Children are often left without proper supervision, especially when they cry. My child was bitten repeatedly for three weeks in a row. Instead of addressing the issue directly, the administration said they had bought a book for the teachers so they could "learn" how to prevent such situations. But these are basic skills every caregiver should already have when working with children. 2. Food. The menu includes a lot of sweets and processed foods. I personally saw children being given Oreo cookies. There was even a case when the milk was close to spoiling. This is absolutely unacceptable for children's nutrition. 3. Water and milk. Children are regularly given very cold milk and water from the refrigerator. Even when I brought my own water and left it separately, I would still find it in the fridge at the end of the day. As a result, children often get sore throats and coughs. 4. Temperature in the classroom. Several times I noticed that the rooms were very cold: teachers were wearing jackets, while the children sat in shorts and were freezing. This happens quite often and raises serious concerns about the comfort of the environment. 5. Parent communication app. The app almost never works properly. For months, their iPad would shut down after just one hour of use. Even after replacing it, the problem remained -- updates are not entered on time, and parents don't receive information in real time. 6. Formula and basic needs. When my child first started, she was still partially on formula. In the application form, I filled out all the details to help her adapt smoothly. However, I was told that "the daycare doesn't have hot water" to prepare the formula. This is absurd, especially considering they also accept infants. How can a daycare operate without such a basic necessity? After some unpleasant conversations, they eventually allowed it for a while, but the very fact that this was an issue shows a lack of basic readiness and care. Conclusion: In my opinion, this daycare fails to provide the basic safety, nutrition, and comfort that children deserve. Parents considering this option should think very carefully before enrolling their child here.

Now our first daughter is four and a half, and when our second daughter was born (she just turned 2), we knew she'd be happy and well-taken-care-of (and well-loved) there, too! Our second had some gross motor skill delays and had certain special requirements for her care as an infant, and we might have worried that she would have a hard time at full-time daycare, but we knew, based on the care we'd seen with other kids who needed a little help (some kids had their PTs visit during school), we knew that she would be just fine. She is a bright and happy kid, and we were so impressed and grateful for the many ways in which the Directors and her teachers in the infant rooms on up worked with her every day to keep her mind happy, stimulated and busy with age-appropriate activities even when she couldn't crawl when others were starting to walk. When she could crawl but not yet walk, but many classmates were walking, her teachers again made certain she could participate both inside the classroom and on the playground (and not be squashed by the walkers :D). Now she is walking proudly and hasn't looked back! :D We are forever grateful for all the special love and care for her! Both have been attending since they were a few months old, and we continue to be impressed by not only the care, but the educational curriculum, the safety and security of the school, the activities aimed specifically at each child's development, and even the menu! The directors and every teacher learns every child's name, and the girls love being greeted when they arrive. They also love the playground and projects and special fun days (and my preschooler is in Cub Camp for her second year, something she looks forward to), and I love that the curriculum is presented in a way that makes it fun to learn, and that each child comes home with a paper saying what she did, what she ate, how she napped, etc. each day. Most of all, though, you can tell that everyone loves and cares for your children, and it's a safe, nurturing environment that my husband and I feel comfortable having my girls attend. Our experience started in early August 2019 when my Wife returned to work after maternity. We scouted a few day care facilities prior to landing with KinderCare and though they were the most expensive of the ones we researched, we went with them because of their stellar reviews, personal recommendation, and proximity to our place of work. Our (then) four month old son started his first week with three incident reports, all in his first three days at KinderCare. All of the incident reports entailed wounds to his face; two self inflicted and one by another child. As concerned parents, we addressed this with the facility director and assistant director immediately. We were assured that we would be contacted asap should our son be hurt again while under their supervision. Though they made good (for the most part) on this assurance, the incident reports continued to flow. In addition to the numerous incident reports, the daily reports they sent to us were inaccurate and lacked detail most of the time. More recently, when I picked-up my son from KinderCare, I noticed a series of scratches around his right eye. I immediately called my wife and she said that she did not receive a call regarding an incident from the day. When she went to follow-up, she was informed (by Ms. Pat) that he had those scratches when she dropped him off in the morning. In addition it was explained (by Ms. Pat) that the staff is "unable to give him the attention he wants when they are with another kid, so we leave him in the crib crying and he flails his arms." In other words, you choose dereliction of duty. If you have read the review to here, I think you can digress that we are attentive parents. As we began to scout other options for daycare, our anxiety increased every day we dropped him off. For two working parents, it is not easy leaving your child in the care of folks you barely know; it is even more frustrating knowing that you are paying for subpar care. His last day at KinderCare (in early October) entailed another sloppy daily report, consisting of mostly vague/incomplete details. The facility wasn't sure if they forgot to feed him (for six hours) or if they gave him another child's formula? To this day it remains a question mark and a scar on two new parents and their five month old son. We are just happy that he is not there anymore.

Rather than focusing on improving the classroom environment, staff suggested that my child might have a diagnosis, even though they are not qualified to make medical or developmental assessments. I found this inappropriate and concerning. If staff have developmental concerns, they should communicate specific observations respectfully and encourage parents to speak with their child's pediatrician--not suggest diagnoses. I expected a supportive, well-organized, and professional environment, but that was not my experience.

COA have a great and friendly staff. The teachers are awesome. My daughter teacher is Miss Michelle and she absolutely great. Her method of teaching and curriculum is outstanding. My daughter has learned so much since the beginning of school. Miss Michelle is definitely preparing her class for Kindergarten with out a doubt. Just knowing your child is in a safe environment while you are at work is every parents concern, being able to drop my daughter off knowing that she is in good hands put my heart at ease. I know she is being taken well care of, she is receiving nutritions meals and snacks through out the day, learning and having fun while doing it. I would highly recommend COA to anyone in the area looking for a Daycare/ Preschool. The hours are accommodating and they do not follow the public school calendar which is also a plus for me. COA emails you an electronic report when you sign your child out of what they learned and was feed and sends you photos of them throughout the day. They also have camera access.
