I found Pete on Angie's List quite a few years back and have used him several times. Pete is hands down the most honest professional person I've come in contact with. He does exactly what he says & when he says so. If he can save you money & not waste a trip out he'll tell you. My ice maker ceased working & I called Pete. He said its probably a frozen line. I can come out there & clear it but it'll cost you blah blah amount. Or if I were you, you can unplug the fridge for 24 hrs & take everything out & put it coolers. Plug it back in or use a hair dryer on low and that's free. But if that doesn't work I'll come right over. I took the free option of course & he was right! I just recently had my oven go on the fritz. He came over within 20 mins of me calling. Was in & out in a flash. Our washing machine was leaking water. I called Pete and he said he'd be there in 1 hour. He arrived on time, spent quite a bit of time diagnosing the problem, determined the cause and ordered the part. Pete promised to return in the afternoon with the part and he was a man of his word. Pete installed the part tested the washer and the leak was eliminated. Pete also eliminated a leaking waste water hose. I found Pete to be knowledgeable, very capable, friendly, and his fee was more than reasonable considering all the work he did and the time he spent solving the leak. Through Yelp, the owner replied within 10 minutes even on the day the business was closed. His reply asked for me to call and leave a message which he will reply 9am of the next business day. His call came promptly as expected the next morning. The owner gave me the price of the inspection and the ballpark quote for the repair of the dryer. He came within the hour which was the time frame he gave over the phone because I was the first customer of the day. He inspected the dryer and found out the issue was the sensor, he explained it is one of the three things that normally cause a dryer not heat up. He had the replacement part available in his van and repaired the dryer all within an hour. I left my vacuum out and he even cleaned the inside of the dryer for me. He seemed very knowledgeable to me. He kept the price to the estimated quote he gave me on the phone even though the part actually cost a tiny bit more after he checked the pricing on his phone. He was very knowledgeable and honest. The motor had gone bad and he took the time to explain all of our options. Since we are planning on relocating in the near future we opted to replace the washer with a reconditioned model based on Pete's advice. He could have charged us the $400+ to replace the motor and then turned around and charged us to replace the mother-board. We've been having problems with our KitchenAid dishwasher not cleaning the dishes on the top rack. We called Pete and made an appointment. He came over within the day, and now my dishwasher is working like new and my dishes are sparkling. My dryer broke last week and I could have had Universal come but they charge $110 just to look at it and if it can be fixed-that would be on top of the $110 Pete's charge was less than half of that plus he applied that fee towards fixing it-which turns out to be a belt-he was extremely nice, fast, reliable & honest! I called because my moms washer was not draining so he said he does not work on piggy back washer (on top of each other) i said i would take them apart so i did when he came he said it was the drain pump but did not even check it repair price $269 .... i said no checked the drain pump and there it was a small rock blocking it took it out and now works better than new i think he is not honest it would be fair that the $46.03 would of at least covered checking out the machine and maybe another $50 to clean the pump but not replace the pump just to get it out of the way i will never call this guy again. read more

He checked it and told me that I had good airflow and from what he could tell, it didn't need to be cleaned.
