We stayed at Baymont. New owner was redoing the rooms there as well, but gave us a new room at a good rate. Casino was very quiet. Didn't see anyone win while we were. Lots of staff just hanging out visiting with each other. Never saw someone offering drinks. Didn't seem particularly friendly. High point was the daiquiri bartender made me. Very little alcohol, but was refreshing. Also, older lady at rewards desk was nicest person we encountered during visit. We probably wouldn't return.

Located next to a hotel and a restaurant and a gas station that is within walking distance but not as close like other superchargers. So why a 4 star review? You have to walk a ways if you need to use the restroom....you have to walk about 5 mins to go to the gas station if you need to use the restroom if you're in the middle of a charge. Usually we just stop to use before charging or after. But if you have kids, they can surprise you with potty breaks anytime hahaha

Restrooms can be used in El Bracero or the Convention Center. El Bracero is good and worth eating in. We wanted to eat at Lambert's which is down the road but the line was too long. So, if you're interested in Lambert's, check on the wait time there first. Put your name in and then Supercharge. We made the mistake of thinking we could charge and then walk in and eat. Not so much. We went back to El Bracero's.

No convenience store nearby so no toad trip snacks which is why I gave it a 4. You can get some appetizers from Ruby but iff you just want chips or corn nuts since it's a road trip not a ton of options.

I didn't take any photos during that trip for this review and since everything about Harper House said, "Come on back and get some more." we decided to get back up there for another round. Reservations were for 7pm and we got there a tad early, but were seated promptly and probably right at 7pm...I wasn't checking my watch. We started off with a basket of their fried pickles (last time we started with the Group Grazing Board, but we had more in our party). They came out from the kitchen quickly and there's a really good portion for the price. They weren't as crispy as they could be, but they were really tasty. They came with a house made ranch dipping sauce that was just what we expected...ranch sauce. They did bring out some of their house cornbread as well with strawberry butter. I'm not a fan of cornbread all in all unless it comes in muffin form with cheese and jalapenos to eat with some pinto beans...but this was good. Had a hint of sweetness to it as well, which went well with the strawberry butter. My wife ordered the 7oz center cut filet mignon but she subsituted the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts for Harper House Mac-n-Cheese and Crispy Red Potatoes. Initially, the filet came out slightly underdone, but they quickly made it right. She really liked it, said that it was exactly what a filet should be...and the peppercorn demi glaze made it that much better. I ordered the ribeye and kept the sides as is (baked potato & thin cut crispy onion strings). This was a super flavorful cut with an insanely rich, bold flavor and just the right amount of fat marbled throughout the cut. If you live right there in Cadiz and haven't been to Harper House, head over there to grab a bite. If you live down I24, you owe it to yourself to make the 30 minute drive and give it a shot. It's well worth the trip.

I really got the best bang for my buck and is a true all inclusive experience that I will never forget. The owners here are also very friendly and their mission about starting this place years ago shows their dedication to the hospitality market. This place is clean and it feels like I'm staying at a four-star hotel. They do have a lot of terms and conditions when it comes to booking so be aware before booking please don't make any changes. The lobby itself is beautiful , the rooms itself are incredible. They have a beautiful balcony if you stay in the main part of the hotel. The outdoor area is also really good and has great views. you even have a bonfire. The guests here are really down to earth and friendly. This place hosts weddings and other Gatherings as well. Since there wasn't a lot of guests here, I really wish there was an opportunity to actually have the bar open during our visit. The Innkeeper also does a great job taking care of the hotel. Even though it's a bit far even though it's a bit far from a grocery store I recommend buying your stuff in advance. If you're making your way to the winery Trail or to the hiking trails you're in the absolute heart of it all and that's why this whole house and the prime location that it is! They have 2 courtesy cars (when working) that are easy to use to get to the numerous restaurants in Perryville and in Chester across the river. Al's Diner is nearby and is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The FBO is nice with clean bathrooms, shower, recliners, water and coffee. Greg G has kept it well stocked with snacks and soda for a small price. Fuel is competitively priced. The only caution is the airport manager is not pleasant, and will not help you if you have a problem. She seems to only care about business from the Weststar company on the other side of the airport. She has refused to allow transients into empty hangers in bad weather, claimed to not have a key to the tenant hanger when one forgot his key, hidden the courtesy car keys to prevent certain people from using the car, refused to let the tug be used to move disabled aircraft, refused to allow emergency repair work to be done on aircraft, and then apparently notified the FAA when the aircraft had to be flown to another airport. When we have tried to bring flight students in for a week of training that needed hotels and would be spending money in the community, she told them to their face that she did not care and caused them to go elsewhere. It is a nice airport, a great community and a good place to stop on the weekend when the airport manager is not present.
