What the difference between a regular EV charger and one of Tesla's? That right, you guessed it, it's SUPER! With that said, the Superchargers here at Biltmore are a bit slow. I had to leave without any charge once and now on a Saturday with only two other chargers in use, my charging speed is not so super. This is not my favorite Supercharger location, but I'm sure Elon and co. will do what they do and get it figured out. With that said, this location is convenient enough and there always chargers available, so there's that. This charging station is located on the northeast corner of the Biltmore Fashion Park mall. It's just off of Orange Dr and right next to the mall parking structure. There were about a dozen charging stalls and everyone of them were occupied when I got there at about a quarter after 1 pm on a Saturday afternoon. I parked nearby and didn't wait too long before a spot was vacated. Thankfully, there weren't anyone else waiting for a charge as I was warned by my friends that live in the area that Tesla owners in these parts are pretty aggressive particularly at this location. Since all of the stalls were occupied, I didn't expect to get very high charging speeds. As they say, "beggars can't be choosers." While waiting for the car to finish charging, I ended up walking a bunch of laps at the mall. This location is as easy to get in and out of as you could want, and every type of food and amenity is in the same lot. It can be busy at peak times, but I've never seen it full. You have a lot of stores to choose from as well as restaurants. Pretty fast charging, about 150kW if there is no car next to us. read more

CONCIERGE CHARGING! This supercharger used to suck - it was so busy and it was pure luck whether or not you could get a spot, even after waiting. Now it's concierge charging! There are attendants that manage a waiting list and they come to your car and wave you into your spot. It's glorious and these guys are SO NICE. I love this new system and I'm super grateful to whoever implemented it (Tesla? Biltmore?). It's so much better than when I had to hope that no one would sneak in front of me. read more

Located in a rather upscale shopping center this supercharger uses a 72Kw charger and there are 12 stalls. We got about 38kw on average. We had a brief wait at 3:00pm. Check how full this supercharger is before heading over. But in any case its the most convenient supercharger in Phoenix. So a short wait is better than driving to Scottsdale. read more

I love Tesla Supercharging stations! I wish there were more in the Phoenix valley. This location is also better than the one in the Scottsdale Quarter. Despite the negative reviews, so far, I have never had any issue with charging my Tesla or finding a spot available. It's easy. Fast. Convenient. Free. Bring a book to read with you or walk around the shopping center, it will take around 1 hour and a half to charge it full, depending on your battery size. Mine is a 75kW and in 1 hour and 15 minutes it recharges all. There are also dining options available around the area, walking distance. Other fellow Tesla owners are always nice and sometimes it's a good occasion to chat a bit. I like coming here and I hope there will be more Tesla Superchargers in the future. read more

We are on a cross country trip from Washington DC to San Diego in our Model S. We did this trip taking another route last summer. The reason for the bad review is because I have never seen such bad behavior by a Tesla driver nor a charging station so full and we've used a lot of supercharging stations. We are in our car charging when the Tesla Model Y (Y1) next to us asks how much longer we're going to be there because they only have 5 miles. It's 115 degrees in Phoenix so they can't last too long. Luckily the Tesla that is charging backed to our car is leaving. So Y1 tries to park when another guy in another model Y (Y2) comes up and parks there. Apparently there is a line for charging which isn't visible from where I was parked and to Y1. The Y2 owner who is parked and connected to the charger goes up Y1 and starts screaming at them. F this and F that.... on and on. Goes up to Y1's open window while they are closing it and keeps screaming. At this point, I decide to leave. Get out of my car and unplug from charger. Tell the screamer from Y2 that I can't see the line either from where I am parked, at which point he starts screaming at me. Tells me to "go back to where your pu$$y came from" with other profanities laced in. The guy had Arizona plates so I assume this is a local... and a newish Tesla owner since he was driving a 2020 Tesla model Y. read more

Being a new Tesla owner, Superchargers are great! Most are very convenient and always have a stall open! One think to keep in mind, try to pick a spot away from other cars charging. I've notice that the typical full charge is 45 minutes. However this will increase as more cars charge. In other words they all can load down the power source, thus increasing the charge time. read more

Shame on Elon! The only super charger station in the whole Scottsdale Phoenix area, which is an older, slow station, has more closed, inoperable charging stations than open ones. I have been sitting in my Tesla for 30 minutes and a line of other cars waiting for anyone of the five cars to finish so we can have our turn. It's a 12 car charging facility. Shame shame shame. With so many electric cars to choose from, just know that Tesla charging stations will not be available in many locations. Disappointed to say the least. read more

Avoid these chargers if you can. There are 16 stalls and only 4 of them were folks actively sitting in their Tesla's charging. The other 11 had Tesla's hooked up to the chargers but no one in the cars. Drivers must just park them here and go into the mall. We had to wait for about 30 minutes to snipe a stall, as it was like playing musical chairs with several other Tesla's circling for a spot. read more

The location is amazing BUT trying to get a spot to charge is such a hassle because it's a super busy location. I'm always afraid that someone is going to try taking a spot when I'm next or that I'm taking someone's as I drive up. Also, not sure if it's because it's so busy but it takes forever to charge. Get more charging stalls Tesla it's needed. Also I read a review that said it was managed by a concierge service but I did not see anyone directing traffic, (I'm here on a Friday afternoon almost 2pm), instead I just noticed newer places signs saying no waiting or stopping in driving lanes. read more

This station is always holding at capacity, it's outdated compared to other chargers and near by amenities are gaudy. This city has more teslas than other places and some of fewest charging stations. read more

I've owned my Tesla for almost two years and have traveled all over AZ, UT, NV and CA. I have charged in every station in AZ several dozen times. And of all my experiences with Tesla charging stations the biltmore has the WORST! The stations at the Carl's Jr. In Kingman AZ are better than the biltmore! Terrible!!! There has. It been a single time that I've been here and just parked and charged. Today I moved 4 times! That means 3 of the 4 are broken today!!! You guys are terrible!!! Do we need to help the biltmore financially to afford better chargers or what? Sheesh. read more

I have had multiple bad experiences with supercharger at this location. Right now I only have 10 miles left in my car and I badly need to charge my car but I cannot. All it says is charging stopped. Phoenix, AZ - needs MORE chargers! Had to drive 6 to 10 miles to find one. The found in Phoenix was in back of a mall, hard to find, first time I had to ask security for directions to it b/c I could find it. Construction blocked areas and it's in the back NE corner of the mall parking lot. No amenities during off business hours. read more
