Read all the low reviews before coming here. You have to pay to enter the parking lot on top of paying for charging. Upon arriving the gate is closed and you need to pull up to activate it to open. Then there's a machine to get a ticket or use your credit card. $10 to enter. We rang the button and asked the worker, were just trying to charge the car. The worker said you'd be refunded on exit if you use the same credit card to exit and the charging was free...that didn't sound right but we thought ok we'll use the same card to exit. WRONG. We were charged $8 to exit the parking lot. Also this location took forever to charge. It's a slower charge, you have to pay to enter. Not worth it all all, drive further for a charge. read more

Do NOT use this location!!!! First of all it has no indication that it's this location. No Tesla signs at the entrance. You must drive all the way up into the door for the thing to open. To enter this garage, you need to drive all the way up to the garage door and it'll open. I got pretty confused on where this charger was located till I attempted to enter this way on A Street. Be warned- I charged for 20 min and was charged $5 for parking. Inside they also offer car detailing and it's a pretty safe enclosed garage but I'd only use this spot as a last minute desperate option (which is exactly what I was going through). The parking company rips you off. Posted rate is $2 per 15 minutes, but I stayed 50 minutes and was charged $11. It should be $8 ($2 x 3). I just read some Google reviews, people reporting being charged $8-11 for less than 10 minutes. I would use this Supercharger if I could count on only paying for the time I'm in there, since it evens out with the lower $/kWh, and it would be a total win if you live or are staying downtown. However I can't support shady business practices like tacking on hidden fees. I will be driving a few miles extra to Fashion Valley. read more

I don't understand why Tesla would hide this station. The address tells you it's located on 6th Ave but it's actually only accessible if you enter the garage on A st. There are NO signage anywhere on the outside to let you know if you are near or at the right garage PLUS it's in a gated garage so that only opens if you drive all the way to the gate/door. Terrible just terrible! This is the only charging station downtown San Diego. I actually like that it feels safe in a gated garage as opposed to being outside downtown (so if you need to charge your car at night you don't feel so "exposed") BUT it's a total scavenger hunt trying to find this "secret location" . Also - you'll need to pay for the parking garage fee on top of the Tesla charging fee. It would be nice if Tesla validated the parking. read more

3-Stars for the location and locating this supercharger... Decided to charge before dinner downtown and didn't want to drive to Fashion valley that night. The pros: - A decent amount of superchargers - Not really busy (the 2 times I've been here) - Decent kWh charging speed The cons: - Small tight spaces (I cant imagine if this got busy) for the space size and distance between the 2 rows. You will have to make a few turns to reverse and leave when you're done. - Paid parking (I guess it's good since who really wants to pay for parking, hence the reason it's probably never busy. - No amenities whatsoever I had trouble location this at first, I entered off the wrong street, you will need to enter from A. St since it's literally located at the very bottom level. For me, this supercharger location is a last resort for me if I dint want to wait elsewhere. Pretty bad experience. This Supercharger is located in a multi level parking garage that requires payment. Very difficult to find. No signage. No attendants at the entrance. We drove around for a while looking until we finally asked another Tesla driver for help. Superchargers are on the first level and accessibility is only from A Street. Wish we had known that when we entered from the wrong side. We ended up driving the wrong way, otherwise we would need to pay again. While we were charging, a parking garage attendant was trying to roust a few homeless out of the corners. Banging poles on the walls. Stalls are plentiful and there was no wait. Is there another Supercharger option in downtown San Diego? I will look elsewhere. I don't recommend. read more

I needed a charge to start driving home from downtown San Diego. Tesla Navigator gave directions and soon said "You have arrived at your destination". I looked all around and didn't see anything looking like a charging station. After driving around a few times I finally looked up the address on Google. This turned out to be a garage with a closed gate. There was nobody around to ask. I couldn't decide if I should take a chance and pull in and maybe pay the $10 parking fee for nothing. I finally gave up and Googled the next closest charger, which was a much better location. read more

There are 16 Tesla charging spots here in the first level of the 6th & A Parking Garage. Once you enter, it's on the right side. You do have to pay a fee to park. It's right downtown and walking distance to Gaslamp district so plenty to do while waiting to charge. If you don't want to go far there's a coffee shop right around the corner. Charges up to 72kW. It's right downtown, so convenient! read more

Scammers. This is an automated facility with no attendant. They charge exorbitant parking fees ON TOP of supercharger rates. There's no way to exit garage without being forced to pay. I've contacted their support at the gate and they frigging didn't care. Told them I would reverse the charge. Filed a dispute with the credit card company for this parking charge. Dispute resolved in my favor. Do it folks! That's the only way these assholes will listen and take notice. This garage entraps Tesla owners, has no publicly visible notices posted about extra fees, has no way to allow immediate exit (if one doesn't agree with the charges), and deliberately designed things this scammy way. Tesla apps and navigation don't state any parking fees for this garage. Hit them where it hurts. Dispute every time you charge there and make them act. Shit box central. So we went after 5pm on a tuesday easy enough to park and get charged normal as most . The issue is the shitty parking lot it's in. The security roll up is nice after that good luck . Fees are not reliable , the parking structure it self charged me 28$ even though I was after 5 . We were only parked for 1hour and 45 mins . Could easily prove it . But since the ticket machine wasn't dispensing tickets we 1 couldn't get back in the building with out calling the dummy in the line 2 we couldn't get out of the security door till we talked to dummy in the line 3 we had to pay maximum day rate ($28) because we did t have a rocky that dummy in the line admitted not being able to dispense . 4 dummy response come back tomorrow during biz hours , well dummy we do t live near by so we got bones by your system read more

It's in the parking garage on your left with no sign for Tesla charging station. Yes, you have to pay $2/15 min. However I got charged $8 for 29 min and reading other reviews this seems common practice. You don't have a choice if you need a charge. Avoid if possible. At least it's well lit. read more

The worst experience I've ever had at any supercharger! If I could leave a negative review I would. I only created a Yelp account so I could let others know. First of all you have to pay to enter into the garage and second it is very unreliable! I came with my family late at night to charge and when it was time to leave and pay for the entrance, their machine wouldn't accept any credit/debit cards we used (we used 3 separate cards and none would work!). I tried multiple kiosks in the garage and none would allow me to pay and leave. I tried using the help option on the kiosk but that wouldn't help any bit. I left to find someone to help and no one was around. In total, I ended up wasting about an extra 30 min of time. Eventually it finally did let me pay. With all that being said, don't waste your time and money going here! Find another supercharger and save yourself the hassle. read more

I charged here for an hour in the evening and paid $8 in parking. The $5 fee is a minimum charge. The urban superchargers are located on the first floor. Max charging rate is 72kw but the circuits are dedicated. Be careful, the parking is narrow. If you are in San Diego, I would use an L2 Charger whenever there's an opportunity. The North SD superchargers always has long wait times and this one is very costly. I was at liberty station for a party, and it was worth getting charging there to reduce the need to supercharge in SD. read more

Very tough to find. The entrance is nestled almost to the end of the block. No signs on the outside. It just looks as if your driving into a private parking structure. We took a parking ticket to enter the structure. It cost me $ 5.00 for 16 minuets of charging. Not sure what a full charge would cost? The charging rate (watts) with hardly any Tesla's around was lower than expected. The charger at QUALCOMM is still a better deal. read more
