Mixed 72/250kw superchargers here. Leads to a lot of "jockeying" of cars from the 72's to the 250's. So be careful driving or walking here. Other wise there are like 46 chargers here so there won't be a long wait in any case. Beware of hyper aggressive ride share drivers who may not be so willing to wait their turn for a 250kw charger spot. Otherwise, its a good place to charge and do a little shopping at the mall. read more

This Tesla SuperCharger is next to the Bloomingdale's parking lot in Fashion Valley Mall and has nearly 40 spots. Another benefit of charging up here, are all the nearby restaurants and stores. You are only a hundred-fifty yards away from... PF Changs, True Kitchen, Cheesecake, CPK and Tommy Bahama's. SO many chargers do NOT work. Wouldn't even bother. We just left after trying 2 stalls. No they were not both states as not working.

So many superchargers at a convenient mall! I was on my way to SD and needed to charge up before we start roaming around and me getting range anxiety. Found this place in the car map and there was so many! Probably 20 and like a few were down or being fixed. There was 1 trash can which was nice because I'm sure people like to toss their trash while waiting to charge. The mall is pretty big so you will have plenty of things to browse at or grab a bite to eat. read more

This is by far my favorite supercharger. They have 48 chargers and most of the time they are always working. It's located in the parking lot of Fashion Valley Mall which has an abundance of food, shops and bathrooms! So much to do while you charge! read more

This charging station is located in the parking lot of the Fashion Valley mall. The first row of charging stalls is along the southern wall of parking structure E which is just to the east of Bloomingdale's. There's a second row of newer charging stalls just one row away from the parking structure which should yield higher charging speeds. While you wait for your car to finish charging, you can head over to the mall to do a little shopping or eating. There are plenty of food options to choose from over at the food court. There's also clean restrooms. Even though there are a lot of charging stalls at this location, there's still a chance that there will be no vacant stalls when you get here during peak hours. If that happens, there shouldn't be a long wait. Also Tesla owners are usually pretty good at lining up for the next available stall. read more

Review during COVID. From what I've seen before this place is usually clutter free, but I think that's change. There's lots of trash located around the chargers. I want to say it's the owners leaving trash, mask and gloves. Please pick up after yourselves. Only reason I gave 4 out of 5. Other then the mess there are plenty of stalls. It's right next to the mall. Due to the circumstances the mall is closed and there isn't really much to do while charging. If the mall was open there are plenty or places to go to and "kill time" while waiting for your charge to be complete. There is also an EvGo station at the next parking structure just incase all the stalls are full and you are in need of a charge. I was in the area after work and needed a charge so I went here. One thing I would like to happen is more super chargers inland towards the 15 freeway side of San Diego. Majority are on the 805/5 side of San Diego. read more

This Tesla Supercharger station hits all the right notes. It is pretty easy to access, conveniently located right off the freeway behind the Fashion Valley mall. No parking charges. The location itself is clean and open, with mall security making the rounds every so often. The supercharging equipment looks relatively new. It has approximately two dozen (24) charging stations, which seems like more than enough for the area. When I came here in the middle a weekday just before lunch, there weren't too many people around, with just a few Teslas plugged in. Sometimes when a supercharging station has the smaller so-called "urban superchargers" like this one you get slower speeds, even though there is supposed to be a max speed of 75 kw/h. Not the case here, as charging speeds seemed pretty good. Note something that almost all rookie Tesla owners complaint about, is slow supercharging speeds - but no matter how fast the charger, when your battery gets above 60% charge, the charging speed slows down dramatically and continues to get slower the closer you get to completely full. Only when a battery is below 40% are you going to see really fast, maxed out charging speed. read more

This is one of my favorite supercharger stations. It's located in the back of the fashion valley mall (outside of Bloomingdale's just outside of the structure). If there's a wait, it's usually not more than 5 minutes. Nearby, it's only a short walk though the mall to the food court (Starbucks). The mall is also home to an Apple Store, Nordstrom, Sephora, Louis Vuitton, Tesla, Urban Outfitters, Macy's, Free People, Mac, and more. There's also a Container store nearby. If you choose to wait it out in the car, it's a well-lit, safe area. Most chargers work. read more

This is the largest number of chargers I've seen yet! Also a ton Teslas charging, but still spots open. A very expensive charge though! $31 for 200 miles of charge. Think that might be the highest I've seen. You don't have to pay to park plus pay to charge, so that's nice. Restrooms on the second floor of Bloomingdale's are easily accessible. Tons of other shops and spots for food/coffee. About a 10 minute drive from our hotel downtown, but a cool area to check out while you charge. read more

The Supercharger at the South Congress Hotel in Austin is a bait and switch charging area. There is no sign that tells you once you go in their parking that to Supercharge you will have to pay $12.99 to get out of the garage with no validation options. They are rude and dismissive. Horrible choice to Supercharge is the South Austin Hotel. read more

Love that Tesla added 24 Superchargers at Fashion Valley Mall. Showed up with less than 100 miles, do a little quick shopping and leave an hour and fifteen minutes later with a near full charge. Taking advantage of the new car buyer (with referral) of 6 months of free supercharging! Don't overstay though or you'll be charged for sitting idle by the minute. The Superchargers are on the bottom floor of the southeast side of the parking structure at Bloomingdales. read more

This is the best supercharger in San Diego. Life hack: if you're coming from Bloomingdale's, the chargers on the right side, charge faster than the ones on the left. I would keep note of the peak and non-peak times because there's a significant price difference. There is a line for charging. The proper way to "wait in line" is to go around from the container store side. Don't be that asshole that comes through the Bloomingdale's side. read more

Tesla is expanding their supercharger network in SD. As of this writing this is one of two superchargers located south of the 52. Seems like the bulk of the network supports North County, not so much the south. But I digress... This particular supercharger is located inside the Fashion Valley mall. It is located adjacent to the parking structure next to Bloomingdales. 24 stalls are dedicated for this purpose, with one dedicated for handicap placards. The location is situated where your car can charge without much interruption/distraction from other shoppers, but close enough to the mall if you do want to shop. Being that this is inside the mall, the nearest restrooms are located inside Bloomingdales and the nearest coffee is also located inside the same store on the 3rd floor. There's also a Starbucks and a small food court if you want something more substantial. Fashion Valley is right off the 163 so very convenient accessibility overall. Mall security also makes their presence known if you experience any issues while you charge. read more

This is a fast and excellent supercharging station. It is located in the mall, in back of Bloomingdale. The charging was very fast but slowed a bit toward the end. There are also other EV charging stations nearby. Be sure to find Tesla. read more

Located across from Bloomies and in a noisy part of the parking lot because it is next to the freeway. Of course there is much to do to pass the time whilst the charge is happening, it is all the mall! However, during peak times (weekdays after work) the line can be confusing. It is a pretty tight spot to have 5-6 cars snake around to try to wait for a free charger. read more

I am very happy this supercharger is so close to my house. I rely on this charging location as I do not have a charger at home. They installed and opened 24 new chargers at this location a couple of months ago for a total of 47 chargers. This has made a big impact as there were times I had to wait in line for a charger, I no longer have to do that. This charger is 0.24/KWh during off peak times and 0.48/KWh during peak hours which are 10am to 7pm. So, if you want to charge for a lot cheaper, come during off hours. I love that the mall is right here with lots of shops, coffee, and restrooms. I have even ordered Togo food, plugged the car in, picked up food and had dinner when I got home. Overall, very nice and convenient. I am happy they added so many more stalls along with more garbage cans to decrease trash around the stalls. It isn't the fastest supercharger, but it gets the job done! I charged from 28% to 98% in about 40 minutes. read more

Do not go at night. I've charged there a few times at night and have noticed a few homeless people in the area. However, last night it was much worse. 2 homeless women were fighting and one was harassing the car charging beside me. I've been here every day this week, including the weekend and only once did I have a potential wait, but one car pulled out just as I pulled in. 24 stalls, one handicapped, 72 kWh max, perfect for frequent supercharging as that's what they slow you to. Love that it is at a mall, and love even more that security drives around FREQUENTLY. This weekend had a suspicious SUV driving around, called security and they were there to monitor in less than 5 minutes. 2018 Model X 75D I used to charge st home but since this is so close to my office and I have free supercharging I will be taking full advantage. Only thing that could make it better is a coffee truck. read more
