When this charging station is full or even semi-full, forget it! I rolled up to charge on a Saturday around 1pm, and it took 20 minutes to get 4 miles of charging. I thought it best to spare my precious time, pack it up and coast home. In addition, I noticed that some chargers have been run into and not fixed. Bad juju here.

Stopped by this place to Supercharge on our way back from San Diego. It was fairly easy to find in the middle of the night thanks to the glowing red Tesla logos. Located in the MainPlace Mall, it's right off the 5 FWY. Since we were charging in the middle of the night, there wasn't much for us to do. However, if you head towards the mall, you can find some Pokémon Go Gyms and Pokestops to pass the time. The area was also well lit at night, but I didn't notice any trash cans nearby. There's a 40 minute charging maximum on these chargers. The chargers are located right next to the parking structure. If those chargers are full, there's also a set of Urban Chargers that can be found inside the parking structure. Overall, it was a place to charge up on our way back home. Considering it was the middle of the night, there were also other cars charging right next to us.

    $5 charge but not idling...WTF?

I got charged an idling fee of $5 before the charge reached the limit I'd set. So I took a picture of it and complained to Tesla. "Just send us the picture and we'll straighten it out," they told me. Did that 2 weeks ago and never heard back from anyone. Tesla HAS a complaint department...they charge (no kidding) $15 to post to it...WTF? Don't buy a Tesla. PS the place is often filthy with trash everywhere.

38kw??????? Super my ass, this is SUPER slow for 10:30pm.

Junk! First time at this location and it's 10:30pm, all spots full but I snagged the last one. 38kw and gradually slowing down. Ridiculous. Tesla needs to pay attention to the large amount of cars in OC and install more or something.

I have never given a 1 star rating at a Tesla supercharging station- but this deserves one. I pulled in at 1:30 pm on Friday afternoon and there were 8 cars ahead of me and 2 stations down. There was a valet guy there checking cars in, but said I could park anywhere. I assumed he would let me know when it was my turn. A bunch more cars pulled in after me and again, no parking in any particular order. The valet guy "went to lunch" and that's when all hell broke loose. The lady next to me got my attention to ask me who I was after. I didn't realize the valet had left and said "I don't know! I'm #8 but didn't know who I was following. About 6 of us got out of our cars trying to figure out the order and somehow I ended up taking charge asking who they were after. We were able to figure out 1-4 and 1 person was not in their car. We all worked together to make sure everyone went in order, but a few people got upset. When I thought it was my turn, the lady who had to go to the bathroom said she was before me. What a mess. Of course I let her go and finally it was my turn, which was about 30 mins from when I pulled in. One guy was so desperate he offered me $25 to take my place! No thanks. That's not how it works. The valet guy finally came back around 2:30 and I told him about the situation. All he could say was sorry. They need figure out a way to make this a more efficient way of working. Maybe a sign up sheet to take names down to make sure everyone goes in order. It was a hot mess. Tesla- you should add more stations or have 2 valet people and fix the stations. Not a happy bunch of peeps.

Easy to find and get to. Nice location off the freeway at the mall. Clean and safe. There are two charging stations just inside the structure to the left.

Lots of stalls available and conveniently by the mall to help kill some time. A few restaurants nearby for casual dining.

Great to have but need a lot more of these especially in Irvine. Always full and a long waiting time. Doesn't make sense.

This is what EV charging should look like…read more As a Tesla owner, I've charged at a lot of stations over the years, and Rove is by far one of the nicest charging facilities I've been to. The first thing that stood out was the size of the station. There are 40 DC fast chargers, including 27 Tesla chargers, so finding an available charger wasn't an issue. The entire facility feels modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed with large solar canopies providing shade over the charging stalls. What really separates Rove from a typical charging stop is everything else they offer. There's a ReCharge by Gelson's market with snacks, drinks, and fresh food, a comfortable lounge with free Wi-Fi, clean restrooms, a car wash, complimentary vacuums, and even a water bottle filling station. It feels more like a premium travel stop than a charging station. I especially appreciated the little details. The property was spotless, there was security on site, and the complimentary vacuums were a nice touch. The facility feels safe, well-maintained, and welcoming whether you're stopping for 15 minutes or a longer charge. The location is also convenient right off the 5 Freeway, making it an easy stop while traveling through Orange County. As EV adoption continues to grow, this is exactly the type of charging experience I'd like to see more of. Plenty of chargers, great amenities, clean facilities, and a comfortable place to spend your charging time. If you're an EV owner and haven't checked out Rove yet, it's worth the stop.

It's huge and spacious, featuring a great selection of stores and a Round1 for entertainment. The food court is also well-managed with lots of seating available for dining. Overall, it's a great, spacious environment that doesn't feel overwhelming. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Santa Ana! The selection of stores are very mall-typical (Zara, Claire's, etc) but the standout is for sure the Round One! The service there is relatively good, the nicest employee I met worked at the piercing kiosk, she was really sweet. They also have cute displays for photo shoots and tons of photo ops if you're visiting.

Have not been here in about five to six years roughly, so it was good to see a mall that was not completely dead and had a lot of stores still intact despite a lot of malls being closed down recently (like the Westminster Mall). The mall is going through a renovation, so there are some areas under construction. Some favorite stores include: Boxlunch, Hot Topic, Round 1, and Tokyo Life. A couple criticisms my husband and I had was despite the mall being open for about an hour and a half when we arrived; all the bathrooms we seemed to try and use were shut down or out of order. My husband managed to find a bathroom to use but it required us to walk all the way from the food court to the Round 1 Arcade. I also felt like the employee there was suspicious of me as all I was doing was looking at claw machines while waiting for him. I had to take out my Round 1 card from my mall (Mission Viejo) to pretend I was making a decision on what games to play. It was also not very accessible to any elevators or escalators. The elevators we saw were on either end of the mall, so it required a lot of walking to get to one side or another to use one. Adding to the bathrooms being out of order, all of the sets of escalators in the mall had at least one side that was broken. Also, it looks like this mall is a hot bed for theft. It seemed like every store we walked into (the ones listed above and also including Gamestop and Anime World), had pictures on many displays of people who were caught on camera stealing and leaving the store with stolen merchandise. A good mall overall, but hopefully some of the run down issues will be addressed next time we decide to stop by.
