When I called this morning for an update, I was told that the lab had lost my sample and that I would need to start the entire process over. Had I not reached out myself, I would never have known, as no one informed me of this mistake. This is a highly sensitive and time-critical early-pregnancy test, and losing a sample, then failing to notify the patient, is irresponsible and unacceptable. It shows a serious lack of care and professionalism. I will not be returning to this lab, and I will be disputing any charges associated with this error. Patients deserve better.

However, I discovered that they are just one more company that hides behind a no-reply email address and gives no way to inform them. I faxed my insurance information to the LabCorp facility that did my blood test, but I am going to write a letter with the information and won't hesitate to reprimand them for trying to make themselves unreachable so they can bill patients for no justifiable reason. I wanted to report them to the Better Business Bureau, but I discovered that LabCorp is registered under many different locations and none of them were correct for registering a complaint. I just wonder what they are hiding if they play that game. I'm doing my part, but they are definitely NOT doing theirs!!!

First, there is no way to reach the lab directly by phone if you have questions, which makes resolving even simple issues incredibly frustrating. Two weeks ago, I had a lab appointment, but one of my tests had to be rescheduled because the blood draw could only be done on a Monday or Tuesday. The first available appointment wasn't for another two weeks. Today, I arrived at 12:35 p.m. for my 12:40 p.m. appointment. There was an elderly couple in front of me at the self-check-in kiosk who were clearly struggling because they didn't speak English. I offered to help, but they still had difficulty, and there were no Quest employees available to assist them. By the time they finished, I checked in at 12:55 p.m., and the kiosk informed me that my appointment had been automatically canceled because I was considered late. I explained the situation to a Quest employee, but she simply told me there was nothing she could do and that I would have to reschedule again. What a complete waste of time. I had to take time off work and drive all the way to the lab, only to be turned away over something completely outside of my control. A little flexibility and customer service would have gone a long way, especially when the delay was caused by an unattended kiosk and the lack of staff available to help patients. Avoid this location!

Unfortunately, the donor got into some trouble and is now being held in a county detention center. Fortunately, the county was still willing to work with my friend and the detainee to complete the transplant. We were in dire need to find a mobile phlebotomist that could quickly go into a detention center during a tight time window to complete required testing. I also needed a lab that the county and the hospital would approve. I called quite a few phlebotomists and mobile labs but was having no luck getting someone to meet my requirements. Fortunately, a nurse friend referred me to Mobile Xpress Clinics. What a God send. Jill, the Operations Manger, listened to my requirements of needing someone to go do the testing as soon as possible. She answered every call (which were quite a few) and had all the answers I needed to get this scheduled. She also followed up with the hospital and the county to verify she had all the information that was needed to ensure everything went flawlessly. Jill also had the blood and urine draws transported directly to the transplant center's lab saving us the need to hire another currier service. I can't even put into words how caring and accommodating she was. Jill and her team (thank you too Windy) were willing to work around any schedule that the county and the hospital required. Mobile Xpress' prices were very reasonable as well. It is not everyday I need a service like this but if I do, I will always have their number in my phone. I could not have had a better experience. I wish more companies were this diligent, caring, and professional.

Overall, a pleasant experience!…read more New year and Covid-19 is still amongst us. I've been fortunate to not been hit with the virus or gotten really sick these past 2 years. As flu season hits, you never really know if what you have is Covid-related or the seasonal flu. Symptoms are alike and I started to feel under the weather with a sore throat, fever, and fatigue. I was very concerned and even though I've been vaccinated with a booster there is still a chance I can get infected, especially with the new variant, Omicron which is most contagious. It was difficult trying to find an available PCR Covid-19 test in the community and I was getting frustrated. Fortunately, my friend recommended CovX Labs. The process was easy and stress-free. You can pre-register online and book your appointment at any of the San Diego locations. The closest location from me was in Poway and the building was easy to find. They have their office sign visible up front and plenty of parking available. They also take walk-ins, but I recommend booking ahead of time. They offer a discount code when you schedule online, which I took advantage of. I was the first one there when I arrived. Lucky me! Unfortunately, they didn't look prepared to work. I saw them unpacking boxes inside and nobody was up front to assist me. I finally had to flag down an employee as I waited outside. He asked me if I made an appt. and pre-registered. I said yes, but he couldn't locate me in their system. Doh! He was still able to assist and I had to fill out some basic information on his iPad. They also accept insurance, but I paid out of pocket. He ended up giving me the uncomfortable swab test. My first one! It was quick and not as bad as I thought. He was quite gentle, which I appreciated. An emailed payment receipt is sent to you and he informed me that my results should come in before the end of the day. I liked how you can get same day results and they made sure to provide that for me as promised. I received two emails afterwards that my sample was being processed and they provided a token number that I would need to access my results. The second and final email was a pdf file of my results. I was able to save the document for my records. They also have a YouTube video tutorial of the whole process, which I highly recommend watching. Thanks CovX Labs for the positive experience! This will be my go-to testing site, but I hope I'll never had to go through that again. Crossing my fingers I won't need to. FYI: I'm negative!! HALLELUJAH!!

Not a lot to say. At the moment, finding covid test appointments is hard in San Diego. Overall,…read moreCovX labs was a pleasant experience. As someone pointed out, getting an appointment online doesn't actually speed up the process - you still wait in line along with the walk-ups. However, if you pay online you can use the coupon code and save some money if you're going for one of the upgraded options or not using insurance. For me, I just walked up at 9AM - there was 4 people in front of me, and I left at 9:25ish. Seemed reasonable. The person doing the swabs was very gentle and efficient. No problems there. The companies definition of "same day results" is a little dubious - 12:20AM the next day is a stretch but close enough I'm not worried about it. Website was kinda iffy though - took like 3 minutes to finish loading after submitting the screening form.

I asked him why I didn't get a bill back in April?? His response was to tell me it was because my doctor didn't give them my information. So... they just ran a test arbitrarily??? With no patient information??? Interesting??? NOPE, that's not how it works. Tyler became defensive when I asked for clarification. Wouldn't let me finish my sentences. Interrupted over and over, refused to allow me to explain that what he was telling me didn't make sense.
