Teton Valley Auto Repair did a superb job on getting us on our way. On Sunday coming back from Grand Teton NP a couple of warning lights lit up my dashboard. We were scheduled to leave on Monday with RV reservations at West Yellowstone for that night. I arrived shortly after they opened and spoke to Race and told him of our situation, trying to leave that day to keep on track of our RV scheduled. He said he would do the best he could but was not sure he could complete the work on Monday. He scanned our Honda CRV computer and found the fault codes and identified the issues. Race drove me back to the RV campground and said he would try to get the parts and repairs completed that day. I called at 1:30 and he said they were working on the car. I called back at 3:30 to see if we should drive our RV to their shop so we would be ready to leave when the car was repaired. We got to the shop at 4:30 and the car was tested and ready for pick up. We were able to hitch up the car to our RV and be on the road at 5:00 on to West Yellowstone. I can't thank Race and Page and the mechanics for the work they did replacing the Coolant Temperature Sensor and Camshaft Position Sensor. Great job!!! read more

I've grown to really respect and appreciate this shop. My truck (commercial hauler) currently has 632,000 miles and I've had TVA do many DOT inspections as well as brakes, and soon a new turbo R/R. I typically do my own service as I've lost faith in most shops, but these folks have earned my trust with excellent work and fair prices. I now have them perform repairs I'd have previously done because time is money and they do it right! It's about "value". My hands are less scarred and I swear less... The other thing I REALLY like is they listen. That is rare it seems these days. They share their extensive knowledge while listening respectfully to the customers concerns / ideas. They are busy, which is a by product of being good! So I'd advise calling ahead for upcoming service. I plan on TVA doing my million mile DOT inspection! As a former Engineering Superintendent for an oil spill response fleet in Alaska and Captain I hesitate to recommend shops as so many are hit or miss. We had a rented RV that we were driving to the Tetons. The check engine light came on and they were the nearest service station. Not only did they get us in right away they checked the codes gave us some great advice on service and which route to take. The guy was super nice and helpful. I have been taking vehicles there for years, and even though I have moved away from the area, it seems that I have an issue with a vehicle every time I return for a visit, and Teton Valley Auto Repair is always there to save the day. Most recently my truck crapped out on Teton Pass in the middle of a wedding day catering job,... Long story, short,... We are from Texas driving up to Glacier National Park with a two night stop at Grand Teton National Park. On the way to our big day in the park we realized that we had a coolant leak. Just before we entered the mountain pass, we had to pull over because smoke was pouring out of the hood. Thinking we would lose our day in the park, we found Teton Valley Auto Repair. The folks there were kind and helpful! They had to replace our radiator and were able to get to it that very morning. God heard our prayers! Paige got us hooked up with a loaner car and we were able to have a wonderful day in Grand Tetons. At 1 pm on the same day, they called to let us know that our suburban was ready for the next leg of our journey. Can't recommend them enough. They saved our epic road trip!! Thanks guys! read more

My 2009 Ford Explorer started running very poorly and a neighbor suggested I go to Teton Valley Auto Repair. I called to make an appointment and the soonest time they had was about a week, but I booked it. I delivered it to their shop at the appointed time, they took the car and gave me a loaner! They completed the work on the truck the same day and texted me when it was done. They had to remove the intake manifold to get to the defective fuel pressure sensor. They gave me the defective part, which I recognized, as I had put the darn thing in 6 months ago. It is a substantial amount of work to remove the intake manifold, and I thought their charges were very reasonable. These folks kept their word in every way, I was very pleased, and will use then in the future. read more

Family member took her car there for a battery check. They kept it two weeks with very little to no communication on what was going on. When she was able to pick the car up it was in such horrible condition, the windows wouldn't even roll up, the locks wouldn't work, I was mortified for her. They wanted to charge her for 6 hours of labor, she refused for obvious reasons. Took it to a GMC service department, $1500 to repair the damage that this shop did. And replace the batter (which was faulty btw). So what was suppose to be a simple battery check, turned into hell for the owner. Car to this day does not run correctly. I felt so bad for her. This is/was a very nice vehicle that got messed up severely. To make the matter worse... the GMC department documented the damage, when she went back to speak with the owner he absolutely refused to talk about it and told her he was nice enough not to charge for the 6 hours of labor. Pretty awful thing to do to a widow relying on her vehicle in the dead of winter. read more

Don't go here unless you bring your own parts. Dropped the car off Monday at lunch time and it is now Friday. They kept blaming the part delivery. Used that one two days in a row. Not even sure if it will be done right. No communication, if it is not going to be finished that day, don't expect them to call you and let you know. You have to call them everyday to find out it is not going to be done again. When you complain, they act like it is no big deal. I'm done with them. read more
