In the Jackson area we like to build a connected community of fly fisherman, and people like this make me lose hope in that community. He yelled at 3 kids just out fishing and having a good time, and acted like he owned every hole on the river. On a bigger river of course we would have left a little more room for him and his clients, but he needs to understand that it is a crowded, public, small river. I would expect far more respect out on the water from any fisherman, especially guides, who are setting an example for their clients on how to treat other fisherman while out on the water. We are not new to boating but are new to floats, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed, understood what we were doing, gave us safety tips, and took us in a very timely manner to our drop off point. We had a great time on the float, it is such a unique and special experience! We didn't see any moose, but we did see plenty of fish and even a mother duck and her ducklings! After our float, the staff came and picked us up promptly...it was so easy! I can't recommend this company enough if you want to try something different than the usual Teton related, not as active tourist activities. We felt like we were immersed in the landscape and it was worth every penny.

There are restrooms and play areas for the kids. Plenty of beach space room to put your pop-ups up. Plenty of easy parking almost right on the beach. The water is pretty fresh with minimal lake weed. He was a PHENOMENAL guide! He was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and just straight up, cool as hell. From the first few minutes he had us on fish. He also had us bring our EURO rod so we could learn to use it and fish some faster sections using it. He taught us so much about the Euro rod and techniques to use with it. My girlfriend caught the biggest German Brown of her life! I know for a fact he used his own personal flies even though we got 24 flies included with the trip. Really appreciate him. The one drawback of the trip was they forgot to pack the meat for our sandwiches! Fortunately chase brought a ton of pasta and was kind enough to share it with us! Would never book anywhere else other than Three Rivers if i return to Idaho for another run on the snake. Will double check for the meat next time though!

My brother in law (thanks Tate!) took me for the day to float the river and learn to fly fish. Upon our arrival we met with guide Chad who gave me a quick lesson on the lawn out front of the fishing shop. This 10 minute lesson was so effective that it set the tone for the rest of the day. The fishing shop is beautiful with couches, a fireplace... and more flies (artificial fishing flies) than your local dump. I purchased my fishing license and we were off. Chad ( and as I can assume all of the guides ) made me feel like a pro even though it was my first time out on the river. We got a TON of bites and it was clear that this ranch is located in the heart of trout country. It is important to note that I was there as a family friend for the day, and did not experience the full overnight cabin experience.... and I am truly sad I didn't get to see this ranch's full potential. The cabins were beautiful and surrounded a common clubhouse with a full kitchen (and chefs of course) full bar, old style piano, and the feeling of good 'ol fun. I can imagine how relaxing it would be to come back from a full day of fishing to have a nice dinner and a drink while relaxing in the clubhouse. A night of quiet cabin sleep, and then back on the river with a guide the next morning. A MUST for any fisherman (or woman) in the area. Make the trip, stay the night and prepare to mount up some amazing memories.
