Let me just start by saying I was a BIG BALL OF NERVES going into this move. I was finishing up my last day of work, I have a one year old, and my husband is a night worker. I've basically had to do everything myself and the day is the move, I was still packing as they were moving. Marcos and the other mover (will find out his name) promptly introduced themselves. We did a walk through of my 1000sqft apartment. I still have the apartment for a month so getting everything wasn't a priority. They started working right away! No hesitation. They were professional while still being relatable. They were easy-going with conversation and it really helped my nerves when I felt anxious. I've never had movers before and reading through everyone's review from yelp and other moving companies I didn't have high standards. But they far succeeded what I expected. I had a lot of help for my family members and they had no issues with them helping and they honestly integrated within my own family really well. Logistic wise, I'm a very type a personality and timed everything. They called me when they said they were leaving the warehouse and said it was about 30 minutes away. They did arrive right at 30 minutes. It took 1 hour and 38 minutes to load all of my furniture and boxes that I wanted moving. It was a 11 minute trip to my new home. And about an hour to unload and for them to get back. Overall it was right under a 4 hour move. They did take the saran wrap off everything before they left and assembled what little that was disassembled. You make a $100 down payment and the total cost was roughly less than $700 with a tip. If it wasn't for the excellent customer service - I would think this was a little pricey compared to what I was quoted from other services. The reason I went with them was - they were the only ones available for the time and day I needed. I had called 6 places before I landed here. Overall- Again I'm very happy with everything and would suggest anyone to use them in the future. read more

*CUSTOMER BEWARE* We were quoted and had a soft agreement about our local move. Since our house hadn't sold yet, they tentatively held those dates for us. After a couple of weeks and our house now under contract, with a short closing time period, I reached out to the company and they appeared to had double booked. We went to land on a solution to this double booking and was blocked by the representative that I was working with. This has left us scrambling to try and find another mover in such a short timeframe. Mind you, with this being a short turn around now, we are being charged for higher prices. Two stars since they did a good job for us in 2017, was a great move. We contacted them in April for another move we have coming up from WA to OR. We emailed them, they replied, they scheduled a call, never called. We called again, they said the owner would call 3pm on a Thursday, they never called. We emailed again, they said to fill out the online quote form, my wife did that, we heard nothing. We called again, they apologized and said the owner will call back. I never heard back, so I filled out the online quote form and no one returned my calls or replied to the online quote. We have now contacted them well over 12 times with empty promises of someone getting us a quote or a return call and it never happened. If they don't care anymore about customers before the move, we can't trust them with the move. Consider the fact they don't return calls before they have your money, imagine once they have your deposit or payment and there is a problem... I hear crickets. Too bad, the 2017 move was great, I guess they gave up on customer service., or they have so much business the rest of us can just @#$#@ off. Sad. read more

Great movers, excellent communication from both office and movers! Movers immediately got to work when they arrived and did not waste time. Hourly rate was a smidge under most other quotes I got. Movers were very efficient and knew how to work with a service elevator in a large apartment complex and with stairs in a townhouse. They were so committed to getting things done quickly that I even saw them running back to the truck to get more stuff. read more

Hired these guys to load our 26' Penske. First they showed up 90 minutes late and then charged us for "travel time" which I don't remember being quoted, I was told it was a flat fee. Then charged us for 90 minutes they weren't here. Secondly, we wrapped and staged most of the furniture except beds and loose furniture. I had 1 dozen moving pads on the truck for them to use as they loaded. They didn't use ANY and scratched a bunch of our stuff. The worst part is how they loaded. They put all my computer monitors, TVs, pictures, Large Mirrors at the end of the load. When I complained to the owner after arriving in our new house 6 states away, he made excuses. Chipped my new 40" TV by putting the entire load of the truck on it at the back. When the movers on this end opened the truck they said, "That's not how to load your TVs and fragiles, I'm so sorry, they didn't know what they were doing". He stated, "my guys know how to load and every mover does it different". Umm no Michael, you don't put those things at the end of the truck. They put a hole in my year old sleep number base fabric, scratched drawers and holes/tears ripped into a brand new Pilates Tower. Because of carelessness, they dropped one of my pictures and broke it. They took it and were supposed to give us $50 off for it. It was wrapped in a new curtain. We were overcharged, not credited. Do NOT use them if you value your things. I did not get any credit, we paid cash. I intend to file a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General office now that my computer is running and online. The owner dropped any interest in making it right. read more

If a moving experience could be made pleasant it does not get any better than Tetris! This is the second time we've hired them to move us, so we can say with assurance that they consistently go above and beyond. They are experienced professionals who provide exceptional service, but we can't say enough about what a pleasure they were to work with. Mike, Marcus (Lead), Jacob, Josh, Dorrien, and Nick are terrific guys who excel at their jobs! Both of our moves were large, requiring ten hours and five movers so we got to spend a lot of time with them. Without fail they were helpful, respectful and cooperative, but what stands out just as much is their positive attitudes and delightful personalities. It's obvious that they enjoy working together, as evidenced by their humor and camaraderie. They worked tirelessly, without ever slowing down or expressing a hint of complaint. Even working strenuously at that pace for ten hours their energy never seemed to flag. They were smiling and cheerful from beginning to end. Our first move involved a three story 4,000 sq' home and the second was a two story 3,000 sq' home. We have some valuable, fragile items, including a grand piano, all of which they moved and put into place without a scratch. They are diligent about wrapping every single piece they move and gentle with transporting each one. There is no question that they are a reliable company and they do their work exceptionally well, but we can't emphasize enough that they made our moving experience stress-free and enjoyable in every way they could. We wish we could give them ten stars! read more

This company broke a safe, and didn't pay to get it fixed by a professional. I fact they won't give me there Insurance information either. They dropped it off the ramp with there guys. No ownership do not use this company you will be sorry. And a week latter still no contacting really quite pathetic. Let's me post resent photos of conversation. We've had several moves, local and cross country, in the past 4 years. The guys at Tetris were by far the best movers we have had. The walk through estimate was thorough and professional. Mike was on time and asked good questions to help us articulate our needs. Come moving day, Mike and team were late, but he sent a text message to let us know. I really appreciated his communication style. During the move all 4 movers were efficient and friendly. We have 3 small boys, and the Tetris guys were great with our kids. We have used Tetris twice now. The first time we moved within city. Prior to the move Michael came out and did a thorough walk thru to work up the estimate. Day of the three guys (including owner Michael) were professional and so careful withour stuff. They took care of the home we were leaving, and of the home we were moving into. Throughout the day we received status updates. I never questioned the safety of my belongings, including generational family items. Before leaving the guys did a final check to ensure everything was as we wanted it. If we had any questions, concerns or issues I have no doubt Michael would have addressed them immediately. Because we had such a positive experience with Tetris, we called on them - short notice - to help move filing cabinets for us from Seattle to Ahburn. This wasn't an easy move and they didn't complain once. We have recommended Tetris several times and if we ever have a moving need again we will gladly use them. Overall good experience, They we're wearing masks and they did a good job unloading and loading the truck. They worked quickly and safely. They did take a long time to arrive in the morning. I understand they were driving a large truck and it should take longer then normal but this took a very long time. From move location to new location took much less time and it was a equivalent drive, with a food stop. If I had to guess they stopped to get food and gas. Normally this would not be an issue except you pay when they leave the location. My main issue is the assembly of my bed frame. They did a very bad job assembling it. One piece is upside down. it's not even. It's too heavy for me to move the mattress and take apart and put together properly. I was very adamant I wanted the bed frame put together nicely. Granted I should have checked it and that's my fault. Overall price was fair for a moving company in the area. Honestly I wouldn't use them again. I had very limited options and If I move again it will be local and I can find a better option. read more

Lazy and deliberately slow - don't hire them! Used Tetris to unload moving truck when I moved from Portland, OR to Auburn, WA. Arrived over 1 hour later than scheduled. Had 4 people on the crew, who all went to the truck at the same time, chatted for 4-5 minutes, then each grabbed one item and came back into apartment single file. Worst of all they kept asking where to put things for EVERY SINGLE ITEM even though the boxes were clearly marked. After driving up from Portland and being exhausted from packing and travel, having to answer 1,000 stupid questions did not leave a good impression. Took MUCH longer than it should have to unload contents for 2 bedroom apartment due to what seemed to be deliberate goldbricking (goldbricking is the practice of doing less work than one is able to, while maintaining the appearance of working.) read more

I hired this company to move me from North Seattle to West Seattle. They were eager to give me and estimate and called back the same day. I would have to say that an estimate is just that because my total bill was about 70-100.00 more than what was quoted but that didn't really detract from my overall opinion of their services. The crew was very good on communicating with me the day of the move. They arrived right on time and wasted no time on packing everything up into the truck. I had packed everything myself and quite honestly I'm not that good at packing so I was a bit worried that I would find broken glass after they were long gone. Remarkably I found none. Either I'm a much better packer than I thought or these guys know what they're doing. I'm inclined to believe the latter... They started at 2pm and were done around 5:30pm. An awesome company to have as your movers! It started with a quote from them and other companies. When they ended up being significantly cheaper on their estimate and I read through the other Yelp reviews I decided to give them a shot. Scheduling was simple and they kept in amazing communication before the move and right on through it. Landon and Bernard were the two who worked with me for this project and they were AMAZING! Quick paced (especially grateful because it was an afternoon move), very open with communication (making sure to ask questions as needed as well as making sure each piece was in its correct place), and even made sure to set anything up as needed! I will one hundred percent seek them out if I need to move, and will recommend them to anyone I know. This was an in city move in Tacoma, so even though the company is based out of Auburn they will go through the South Sound at the very least! read more

We have more moving experience than most people we know: Seattle- Europe- Canada- Indianapolis- LA- San Diego- Seattle and now to DC. We have seen a LOT of movers! With our last move to DC, we were looking for a company to do a cross country move with our fragile belongings. We were more so picky as the previous moving company- a large name brand ( from San D to Seattle) lost, broke.. so much. Michael understood our situation and reassured us that our belongings will remain in an induvial storage until we were ready. This limited the possibility of breakage or loss from being moved around. We found rapidly our new home and Michael and team were able to put us on the calendar quickly. 2 weeks later he arrived in DC and in a few hours everything was in place ( even the piano!). Never ever use Tetris movers. I had very very bad experience. The 2 men were arguing loudly while working, were very rude. They were very slow and one of them was asking me to help to move the couch. They didn't take all my stuff saying that the truck is small. I had to take lot of stuff in my car by 3-4 rounds. They took money from me before they finish their work. I hired Tetris to move and combine storage sheds for my sister. I just handled the paper work with them and was very pleased with the ease that it all happened. My sister worked with Michael, Nate and Bernard with the move, and she was very impressed with their professionalism, attitude and overall kindness and concern for her. She told me that it couldn't have gone any smoother and she wished she had a computer so she could write these words herself.
