We recently moved and had hired this moving company to help with this process. Their quote was reasonable and quick to reply via email to all of my questions. They were able to accommodate our request to bump our move date to a week sooner than originally scheduled. During the move day the men who arrived were on time, polite and worked very quickly to move our belongings. Our move took around 4.5 hours. They were able to get all of our belongings into their truck plus disassemble and reassembled our furniture. In addition to this they wrapped some of our more delicate furniture to prevent any damage. I would definitely recommend this company if your looking for movers. read more

Requested a quote with given description of a few items in a one bedroom apartment. Firstly, was told a total number with no breakdown, no introduction, no call, no further questioning of details. I politely ask for the breakdown and I get some fifth grade math with no units. I got quoted $2340 for four hours round trip, 7 hours of loading and unloading for a single bedroom, and less than 10 pieces of furniture. Imagine if I was moving a house, I could buy a car. Although the guys were pretty late (customer before me had indicated they had packed when they hadn't), I'm still giving them five stars. That should speak to just how solid the communication was and the extents that their movers went to complete my task, despite how late they needed to work. Every email or text received a prompt reply-- I cannot say the same for most services. Delays were communicated well in advance and the cadence of responses increased considerably during the delay. That's all I could have asked for. I only needed two items moved but they were heavy. The guys worked from 8-10 PM to move the items with care and to install the second item, a bed. And they helped dispose of my old items. Super courteous and would hire again in a heartbeat. read more

BEWARE! Negligent & Disreputable! I posted an account of the damage this company did to a fine dining table. Movers were negligent and disregarded my instructions to disassemble and wrap a protective glass top for this rare wood table. When the damage occurred over a month ago, I had two company reps telling me they were having my table "restored". Five weeks later, I received a phone call from someone who says they didn't have the table restored and refused to do so BECAUSE I POSTED AN ACCURATE ACCOUNT OF THE INCIDENT ON YELP. They still have my table and can't say when they will deliver the damaged piece to me. This company is negligent and deceptive. I still can't get my priceless table back. At this point I consider it theft. read more

Got a referral from a co worker who spoke very positive about her moving experience with movable. And I have to say I can totally echo that! Professional, friendly and fast team. You could tell that they knew exactly what they do! We had today our packing and storage day with them, so far 5 stars +! Hope unpacking next week is with the same team and pleasant again. If you are moving, which I think is one of the most painful things in live - go with moveable takes out a lot of stress if you have a reliable and good moving company! I've used movable once before and they did great. I used them this time for a move from Seattle to SF and it was just awful. Just to be clear, the Seattle crew was good. The SF crew was just horrible. First: poor communication. They communicated the arrival date only after I asked more than once and wouldn't accommodate any changes. (I can live with that) Second: a nothing but problems attitude. The movers arrived in SF and called me saying that they can't find the place. They couldn't tell me where they are or anything else. When I asked if they tried entering the address into the GPS, the response was "Oh" and he hung up. This was one example. There are many many more. Third: poor work ethic. (Broke my stuff and refused to assemble the furniture they disassembled) The movers were supposed to deliver the furniture and assemble the pieces they disassembled. They didn't. They just dumped all the furniture and said that they will not assemble anything and that this is not their problem. On top of that, they broke a brand new couch, an entry way table, and my bookcase. They left all the stuff with the wrapping material and moving blankets. Took me about half a day to unpack the stuff from their wrapping and dispose of the material. Also, they refused to take cards despite being told by the office that they will accept cards. They said they will only take cash and we're very reluctant to write me a receipt. Very shady. Poor work ethic. read more

No joke, I had an excel spreadsheet of local moving quotes and their estimate was absolutely the most affordable of any of the highly-rated licensed and insured companies I reached out to. The movers showed up on time (or communicated their ETA if delayed) each time, and they were incredibly efficient once they arrived. We have a lot of furniture that we have either made ourselves or had custom made, and I fully trust movable to handle each of those pieces with care. We hired two movers and a truck from Movable. They were on-time and nothing got damaged during the move! Their quote was by far the most competitive one we got. My only complaint is that the move took a couple hours more than estimated and they ran out of room in the truck for our bikes and a few other items we could move on our own. They never asked for a detailed inventory, so make sure to provide one if you want to be sure they estimate things accurately. read more

I cannot speak highly enough about these guys. They showed up exactly on time and, after a quick survey of what we had going, went right to work. It wasnt the easiest loading job for them - with 3 levels of stairs and a winding path down the hill to the backyard to load some lumber and equipment - but they were nothing but energetic, focused and polite. Since their quote was by the hour with a minimum, I reasoned that any help that we could provide would increase the efficiency of the operation and minimize our cost. They listened to our loading plan and executed it - accepting our help as we pitched in - working as a team with us. (Although Andrei was very quick to come take my load so he could carry it or place it in the container. ;-) They were probably more careful with our furniture than I would have been! They were quick to wrap and protect and super-carefully place things in such a way as not to scratch anything or expose it to damage during transit. Yeah , the price per hour is a little more expensive than other folks advertising online, but I really feel like the value we got from their efficiency and ingenuity more than made up for it. I previously had a bad experience with another mover so I'm now picky when choosing a mover. I read the previous reviews carefully and went with Movable. They responded quickly to my inquiry and after comparing them with others, I decided to go with them. The two tall, strong and polite Russian guys (Dmitri and Andreas I think) showed up on time and quickly and carefully moved us down the street to our new house. My mom was very happy with their service and careful work in moving her furniture. We highly recommend them! We used Movable for a recent move and were impressed with their service. They offered a great deal compared to other companies and since they had mostly positive reviews, we went with them. Our 3 man + 2 truck crew arrived promptly and went to work right away. They even agreed to stop by our storage unit to move some additional furniture and helped up put everything together. They did ding a wall in our old house as they were removing some of our extremely heavy furniture but my boyfriend was able to fix it quickly. We weren't upset about it because, as mentioned before, our bedroom furniture is extremely heavy and we were just happy to not be moving any of it ourselves! Movable LLC moved drove our household goods approximately 180 miles south and they were amazing! The quote given was not far off (as it did depend on traffic for that long drive) and Dmitriy, Alexandr and Andrey were very helpful. They loaded our stuff efficiently and carefully and dealt with our 18 year cat (who we moved from room to room). Nothing was broken or damaged and these 3 workers were very polite, and cleaned up everything (tape, plastic wrap etc.). They even volunteered to help these 2 seniors unload our personal vehicles.
