What a great park! We came here for a birthday party and would definitely go back if we lived closer. There is a wonderful play area for kids with slides and swings, lots of green space and plenty of areas to picnic. In addition, the park is very beautiful with lakes, hills and even a waterfall. There were Canadian geese, mallard ducks and even turtles in the lakes. It is obviously a very popular spot for photos as we saw at least 6 quincienera groups taking photos and a wedding party. Our friend who hosted the party said her had to book the shelter area 8 months in advance. read more

Really nice park. The play area is great and there are a variety of play structures so the kiddos don't get bored. You can lose your kids easily because the play area isn't small. There are a lot of shaded areas as well which makes having a picnic great. We came with a pretty big group and we had the large shaded area with picnic tables reserved. The parking wasn't the greatest. We had to park on the other side near the tennis courts. The walk wasn't bad. There is also street parking that you can utilize. The OC parks are pretty nice, relative to the LA ones. Wouldn't mind coming back and letting the kiddos run around till they drop. read more

I usually take my two year old son to a playground almost everyday. He is very active and energetic, so we want him to play in a save enjoyable place. I live in Irvine and I already went to every single park there. This park is totally different. My baby enjoys himself and at the same we can enjoy the nature, ducks, and the big wonderful lake. I've been coming here for 7 years now , never gets old . So beautiful & peaceful & relaxing. Great spot to take a nap , bring a book & a blanket. Now that my kids are older (5 & 3 ) they really enjoy the playground . They played for hours ! We feed the ducks bread & went to the skate park & dog park after . So glad this is within biking distance! It's so beautiful and large enough. It's not enormous but for a park in a city it is! I Googled it and it said there were hours of operation but it's wrong. It closes at sunset.. Or whenever really since there isn't a fence or anything. There's a tennis court there too. A pond and waterfountain. A playground. The playground was all beat up and needs and update that's for sure. Lots of pokemon trainers over there too. Definitely a go to park for me. read more

Super big park with lots of fun things for your Little's to do. It was hot, but there is a little shade if you can snag it. There are swings but the kind for the very little ones are weird car-seat-like swings. The surrounding area has tons of green grass and lots of running space. read more

My girlfriend and I drove over an hour and a half to come to this park for a Pokemon Go event, and I have to say that it was definitely worth it. The park was packed full of people from all over joining in for the event, and it made for a really nice experience. Plenty of parking, clean environment, beautiful path with great scenery, huge pond with fountains, streams and ducks, large playground for kids, public restrooms, and an awesome skatepark. This is definitely a great place to come to relax or bring the family. read more

This is one of costa mesa's outstanding parks--I take my dog here and keep him leashed up because there are a few folks that use the place as a training ground for their dogs. I respect the curious dog. I love watching the cuteness of the floof. What I can't understand is folks overestimating their control of their dogs. If you have to keep your dog away from others and tell other dog owners not to approach your dog within 20-30 feet in a public space, why in god's name would you have it on a 50-feet lead that you can't control? This area is in an environment with a tremendous amounts of stimuli, some dogs can manage in it and some dogs cannot (no matter how many times you try to introduce them to the sounds of humans and the OC Fair and fireworks under your leadership). If the bark park is not ok for your dog, a park full of children and families aren't either. read more

Our whole family loves this park! The playground is a lot of fun! I was surprised that even my 11 month old had fun! Our dog loved the dog park. I'd gone before but it was very muddy so is only go before the dog's bath day but they've tried to make it better. They even added articulate grass to one section and I was approached by a city park official surveying the dog park visitors on ways they could make the park better (which I thought was nice). It's even nice for young couples to take a romantic stroll around the lake. read more

Such a nice park for a good walk with the little ones. My one year old walked around the pond and bridges. It was very clean, did have some smell due to the water but that's just normal. The playground was full with kids early Saturday morning but the path way around the water were clear for a nice walk. There were park rangers around in which made me feel safe especially with all the things you hear on the news now. Easy access to freeways and parking is available too. Saw many photo shoots taking place and I could see why people would come to take pictures here. A lot of shade, great lighting on a sunny day and perfect picture location. read more

True story: my ex and I spent 10 minutes at the pond watching a duck bitch out a second duck along with her goose boyfriend. It was like an episode of Jersey Shore; the first duck was quacking out "Come at me, bro!" (our own interpretation) and almost immediately started trying to peck the two with his beak. Ducks are hardcore! Tewinkle Park is sorta like the 1996 film Bio-Dome, only without Pauly Shore and a lot more squirrels. You got a large pond area split by a shady path, waterfalls, a small rocky hill of pine trees, open fields, playgrounds, wood bridges, and baseball fields along with a skatepark and tennis courts across the street to the east. The park is nice has a lot of space for parties and it has a beautiful scenery and a very fun playground but the only thing that sucks about it is the restrooms, they are very dirty and hardly ever have paper. If someone could keep it clean it would be the perfect park overall read more

This park was pretty crowded but I understand why. This park has nature, rocks, waterfalls, pond, turtles, ducks on one side and playground bathrooms on the other. We had a blast with my 2 year old son feeding the ducks and getting all his energy out running and climbing. Playground also has shade which is a huge plus because my husband gets hot easily. Will make visits here on the regular as it is right across from the OC swap meet and a great place to spend some quality family time after doing some shopping. read more

I love this park! It is perfect for family gatherings, picnics, walking the dogs etc. There is a large pond with lots of ducks and if you're lucky you'll even see some frogs. I stopped by this park on a play date after reading all the great reviews. Great large playground with multiple slides and activities for different ages, and a separate sand lot. Several swing options, even for the disabled, but did not notice a baby/toddler seat. Loved that there was also a biking trail, rock climbing, and a lake with geese (but be careful of stepping on the poop). There's a convenient bathroom with two stalls right by the playground. Fairly clean but I noticed the sink was filled with ants. Overall it was a great park but could be a bit cleaner. read more

Lived in CM for 4 years, never went here. Was turned off by a friend saying his fellow officers avoid walking the park at night to avoid having to arrest for drug transactions. Well, ok, but what about daytime! So glad we finally came. Wow, now that we live elsewhere, we visit this park and are pleasantly surprised! A beautiful multi-use property. We always drove y when we went to the dog park. Amazing that we missed this spot. I was turned off by the skate park but that is just a small part of this park. This park is the best park ever in Costa Mesa. I like how it's down Arlington, right across from Orange Coast College. When entering the park, go from the back not the front because the front has the sidewalk full of geese and duck poop. Everyday I would come here after class to chill and relax. There's so many ponds to check out! One of them being fairly large compared to all the others. The pond's full of turtles and of course, ducks! One time I was sitting on a bench eating my lunch, then a few minutes later a Muscovy duck came by with it's friends trying to scavenge my food! There's only one time out of all my visits that I spotted a carp in one of the ponds...and it was a huge one. Honestly I come here for the nature and the animals :) read more

You can tell how amazing this park is by how crowded it gets on weekends. It is the best park of Costa Mesa and suits kids of any age. But my favorite part about it is that my husband can take our dog to the bark park across the road while I'm playing with our child. Love The trees here, they are huge and give the necessary shade on these hot summer days. read more

We love this park, my son loves to ride his bike, the playground is humongous and the little hike trail is cute and adventurous. They even have a pond and tons of ducks so we occassionally will go feed them out stale cereal, haha. read more
