I'm really happy with my purchase. The selection is smaller than the other rug stores. I liked that it was affordable. The owner and worker were very helpful. FYI, the owner told me the yelp check-in offer does not apply on Saturday and Sunday because those are "sale" days. If you bring cash, you may be able to haggle off the tax. There were 5'x7' rugs for around $60-120 plus tax but very good quality compared to what you get online, straight from Turkey. Of course, they had a range of other size rugs too. I did go to LA trim. LA trim had a bigger selection and their range was about $60-180. The one I liked there was the $180 rug and frankly did not want to spend more than $100 so I opted for this one. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase and experience. Here is my photo. I do hope both store employees stop wearing masks with a valve as that has been discouraged. read more

Strongly recommend checking out Tex Depot for area rugs. The selection isn't as big as some other places in the area for larger rugs (8x10 and above) but I was able to find a great one for my guest room. Owner was nice and clearly prefers cash over cards, so you may be able to haggle off a bit if you've come prepared. Prices were outstanding; I may come back here for my curtains as well. I didn't notice or ask about a parking lot; metered street parking was available mid-weekday. read more

Just purchased a new area rug for the living room today and went straight to this store due to the reviews. After giving the size I was looking for I received excellent customer service as I was immediately told about the rugs that were on sale and they were all a variety of amazing prints and styles. I was very happy with my purchase and the gentlemen who helped me (sorry I didn't get his name, but he did speak Spanish as well) carried it to my car and placed it inside so that it didn't block the view on my driver's side. This place is two blocks south of Angel Rugs and LA Trim & Rugs. Compared to the afformentioned downtown rug shops, their shop seems smaller, more relaxed and less cluttered. I liked them. Their selection is more modern -- lots of shag and geometrics to choose from, some of them asymmetric, which was cool. I found an asymmetric geometric patterened rug that I am thinking of going back for. I was in a hurry, so I did not negotiate the initial prices they quoted, which were high -- higher even than internet sale prices. But I expect that speaking with the owner will yield more competitive downtown textile district prices. I will update my review and rating after I do. read more

This review was long overdue. I had gone to downtown a couple weeks ago because I was looking to find some drapes for my living room. I had searched high and low at every department store and any random places I could find. But I could not seem to find anything. Finally I went to downtown as a last resort hoping to at-least find some fabric in order to make what I had been wanting. Luckily I stumbled upon this store. I can't tell you how patient the owner and his crew are. I came in and bought two rugs and they gave me an amazing deal. When I got home I changed my mind and wanted a different one, so I called them and they held a rug for me for a week and a half- I came back and exchanged it. We decided to change our curtains and find a good deal in downtown few months ago.. happened to talked to the owner of this place. He was very nice and patience with us and our 2 year old baby girl. He offered us a good price for what we like but we were not sure that we are getting a good deal and decided to shop other places in the area. After couple of hours we realized he gave us a very reasonable price. We went back and found something else we like which they had in stock and wanted him to install as well with rods. He was honest and tall us it is very easy for us to do by ourselves and gave us one rod set free. I recently bought two rugs and some curtains at Tex Depots. I went there based on other Yelp reviews. I thought the store was fantastic. It's in the heart of the fabric district. I had researched a few other places and checked them all out. This store had the best selection and the best quality and the salesman I worked with and the owner were really nice and friendly and weren't pushy at all. Great prices too! They let me take one of the rugs home and test it out and it didn't work and I brought it back and exchanged it for a different size and color. I was really happy with the purchases and I would definitely go back here again and recommend this store to my friends. If you need a rug or new curtains this place is hard to beat. One of the rugs I bought here was selling at a store in Beverly Hills for more than twice what I paid for it at Tex Depots. It's worth the drive downtown! read more
