In all the years I've been coming here, I've never had this happen before, especially on a bill of around $60 for a party of two. I feel this should be clearly disclosed to guests. As someone who has worked in the service industry, we were always told to communicate when gratuity has been added, as failing to do so can come across as misleading and may result in customers unintentionally tipping twice. I don't necessarily take issue with gratuity itself, but transparency and clear communication are important parts of good service.
