I notice that there are no recent reviews of this company…read more I was a long time customer of Century. I was happy for many years with the service they provided. The owners, Kyle and Jenna, were very hands on and really cared about providing great services. Unlike other "mowing services", they provided comprehensive services - helping with lawn care, landscaping and irrigation services. For years my lawn looked great. It appears that the owners have either sold the business or have turned it over to different management. My lawn has suffered. I will likely have to replace the lawn because of the damage that the new management has done. Meanwhile, they have nearly doubled the price they charge. I can say one thing positive about them: they showed up.

After years of doing business with Century and providing several recommendations and new clients…read morefor Century I called for service to be suspended after providing a photo showing my lawn had gone dormant in November. I was told if I stopped service prior to a December date they would raise my monthly mowing rate in the spring. I found this to be unethical, insisting on mowing a lawn that didn't need it and planning to punish me if I didn't capitulate so I stopped all service. Perhaps another reviewer is correct and the company has been sold? I will say while they do, as another reviewer mentioned, show up every week, they have a very set schedule and have never been accommodating to any changes. I find this posting very sad to create- the women who answer the phone are very nice and not to blame.

We really enjoyed working with Andy and his team at Rockview Landscaping. We had a very large…read moreproject planned for our backyard. A complete remodel with 2 retaining walls, new irrigation, sod, zero-scaping, a flagstone patio, hot tub, rebuilt deck, pergola, kitchenette, bar top, and electrical. Andy did an excellent job managing the project, paying attention to detail, and staying as close to schedule as possible. He gave us sufficient time after the job was complete to test the final product, make fixes, etc., before taking full payment. He went above and beyond to make sure to stay within budget and give us a beautiful final product. Before going with Andy we got quotes from 2 other landscapers. Rockview Landscaping's quote was in the middle. We didn't go with the cheapest option because Andy felt more trustworthy and willing to stay close to our vision. Additionally, the cheapest quote came from a larger national landscaping firm. It felt impersonal. We wanted to help a local business instead. The pictures speak for themselves. We included some before pictures as well so you can see how awful our backyard used to be, and how complete the remodel is. The slope in our backyard was very steep, making the lawn space completely unusable. The deck was rotting and painted over with an ugly green color. We cannot believe how much flat lawn space we have now, and the patio, hot tub, deck layout is beautiful and functional.

Gabriel and his crew completed a job for me over a year ago...but they never actually completed it…read more In fact, I wrote another review about halfway through the project on his old landscaping site, Compass Landscaping and have filed a civil case, despite NUMEROUS requests to resolve the small, but expensive, remaining issues. Gabriel's crew is wonderful and hard working. They did a great job on the hardscaping, though there are still issues with drainage on a patio. Gabriel left my parents and myself hanging. There was an entire corner of the lawn that they never returned to sod, several of the large expensive plants we bought got sick during warrantee and Gabriel did not extend the courtesy of getting back in touch with us to replace them, and the same thing happened with a large red oak, which is now dying. The watering system was not maintainer or properly set up, corners were cut and the lack of communication surrounding something that is EASILY remedied is the most frustrating part. I have written and called no less than ten times, but it appears he is too busy to finalize a $120,000+ project that he said he would over a year ago.

If you need stone of any type for your home or building needs this is your spot. Also lots of different dirt, soils, gravel, etc (whatever that combined is termed). Convenient location is also easy in and out. See pics for more info that I picked up from their flier. It has contact information; a "menu" of what they have; and, some coverage formulas. Pro-tip: this is right across from the entrance to the Saddle Ridge neighborhood. Most of the materials is around the yard. Just go to the small building where the folks work out of and let them know what you want.

The Spanish speaking worker said he would only open the wire on the stones if we were going to buy them. My husband told him that we were going to look at which we wanted, not sure if they'd be the larger or smaller and which ones we wanted. He said, "no, if you're not sure if you're going to buy them, then, NO. My husband told him the owners wife said he would open them for us so we could choose some. He said, "so, you're not sure you're going to buy them". My husband said, that's what we're looking at. The worker saw the owners wife coming out. He said to her, "they're saying they're not sure if they're going to buy them. I'm not opening them if they're not". My husband was fed up with his rude tone and was done. We left to look somewhere else. My opinion is that a lot of business don't care about how they treat people because of the high demand for materials and services, but the day will come when building slows down and the ones who have built relationships and have fair prices will survive.
