We ordered appliances on 10/27 and worked with David at the Fort Worth store. The appliances were delivered one week later in great condition. The delivery man, Jose, was excellent- he arrived at our house a little bit before we were home and waited for us, rolled everything up to the porch and was overall very helpful and patient. I give the store 4 stars instead of 5 as the delivery charge was expensive, $190 just to get the appliances to the porch, an additional $175 to have them rolled inside of the home and installed. However, the stellar service from Jose made up for anything negative and we will buy from them again in the future. read more

We had recently moved, right at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We discovered after moving in that our washer and dryer did not do well with the move. We tried Craigslist and got burned. We hadn't done laundry in a few weeks. Home Depot and Lowe's couldn't deliver a washer and dryer for at least a week. I tried Texas Appliance out of desperation. Their prices were even a bit cheaper than HD and Lowe's. They took care of us, and we were doing our first load of laundry in 2 days. Shannon took great care of us. As a former Arlington resident, my parents, and then my husband and I, bought all of our appliances at Texas Appliance. We used to love the warehouse (when there was only one location and it was in the back) and were pleased with all of our purchases. In May of 2015 we purchased what will certainly be our last purchase from this store- a refrigerator with a five year warranty. In May of 2016 our house flooded and we called the store to have someone come out and make sure the refrigerator was okay after the accident in our home. They sent out someone from Guinco, assuring us this was covered under our one year warranty. Guinco came out, checked the appliance, and told us everything was in good shape. We were charged a $105 fee because Texas Appliance had not realized that it was more than a year after purchase date (by 6 days). They refused to reimburse us because it was not their warranty company that came out to check the appliance, even though that is who they had me call! Joi, the manager, assured me that she would "take extra care of me" the next time I needed anything. Fast forward to the end of September and the ice and water will not work on the refrigerator. I call Joi directly for assistance. She will not return my calls or emails. I spoke with several employees and figured out on my own that my refrigerator extended warranty was with a company they no longer use... So, I call the new company and then they tell me Texas Appliance will not help them locate my information so I had to dig it up myself, all while no one from Texas Appliance will return my NUMEROUS phone calls and emails. FINALLY, right before Christmas, I found out who our company for the warranty is and they are sending someone out on Friday to look and see what the problem is with my refrigerator... It has been 4 months that we have been without water and ice now... The ironic thing is that this warranty company is sending out the same repair service that Texas Appliance would not reimburse us for their service back in May. My advice- STAY AWAY. I purchased a Samsung front loading washer and dryer. After a lot of research Texas Appliance, Ft Worth, Hulen, had the best price. The salesman (Ed) was just OK. The product that I bought had a rebate but he was totally confused about the rebate. In fact I had to bring rebate to his attention, I saw it on the website. I like the choice of products, delivery was within a few days. Delivery man very professional. I had to add a extra hose for my dryer, additional cost $40. Tried to order a new dishwasher for my home and was treated like a criminal. They wanted me to come into the showroom which was not necessary. I know exactly what I want and just wanted to order an pay. Then I was told I would have to fax a copy of my drivers license. WTH! I said no, I don't want to fax my DL...why? So on May 19, we bought an LG fridge and they said it would be delivered the next week. May 26 it was delivered. So It came, Yay new fridge ... NOPE, first they had to take the doors off the fridge to get it in the house and left my fridge laying down in the street as the brought the doors in first. Somehow the water dispenser got bent in the process of it being brought in and when we tested the water dispenser it, water came out squirting off to the side and then this particular model has a cold saver door for easy access items. When they delivery men went to test the doors the cold saver door did not work ! They said they were going to have to call it in and see what they could do...... ok so then I am told I have to wait longer for a new fridge .... which is fine but they did not try to accommodate my work schedule to deliver and I had to take off a whole day to sit and wait. Finally, June 8, they deliver a new fridge. They come inside and take out the fridge they came to replace. Then as soon as they take it off the truck and start to take off the doors off, We all realize the fridge has dents all over it! They install it because I need a fridge but said not to worry . The delivery men quickly and immediately started calling their boss. So all they could tell me was we have to call it in to get it replaced and now here I am with a dented "brand new " LG fridge and not to mention the freezer door is somehow bent and the door won't seal so I came home to all my food ruined and the freezer turned into a block of ice ! I am having to call the store because NOBODY has called me to update me ! I call them today June 15, since nobody has called and I am told they will deliver a new one next Friday June 22! Obviously, they don't care about their customers once you pay and don't make it a priority to make things right. The sales person we dealt with just blows me off when I call and can't give me any information and not one person has tried to make this right or in a timely manner They just tell me we will call you and nobody does ! Just want to give kudos to the store manager at I-20 location in working with me to replace a defective microwave that was under warranty! We purchased the microwave in September and it stopped working last week. Called Texas Appliance and they recommended that a serviceman come look at the microwave first. When the serviceman came out, he indicated that it needed a new control board. Knowing this on a microwave that was only 5 months old (it was built in July 2016), I decided to ask store to replace microwave. Although our communications was somewhat rocky at first....at the end of the day, after contacting a GE rep, the store manager agreed to replace it. The new one was delivered today!! read more

My mother and I spent hours picking out the perfect range top and double convection oven set, and even tacked on a vacuum because we were so thrilled with the selection and deal we were getting. We went in with all our measurements and were told by our salesman that a 30 inch oven would slide right in to the void left by the 30 inch oven from the 90's original to our house. We were also assured REPEATEDLY that the cooktop would require no tilework, which was one of our primary concerns before purchase. So we walked out of the store less several grand with a delivery date a week away. We drove around back to await the vacuum - after more than half an hour of waiting in the heat we were informed that there was an error with stock records (or more likely out salesperson hadn't checked), and that the vacuum would have to be sent out with the rest of the delivery later in the week. Fast forward to delivery day (and the ubiquitous five hour window), the truck pulls up sans vacuum /despite a call that morning reminding the store to load it onto the truck/. The installers take one look at our kitchen and tell us that A) a modern oven will NOT fit perfectly in the hole left by a 90's oven (even by the same brand, as our salesman had claimed) and B) absolutely NO cooktop can be replaced without some damage to the tile. So of course, we call the store to begin the long return process. The manager attempts to salvage the sale by informing us that there is "an insert from California" that can make up the difference around the oven, and that they have a countertop guy they can send out to refinish/repair/replace the countertop damage from the install. Thinking back to my time in the showroom, I remembered this exact same woman delivering this exact same spiel to some other swindled customers over the phone, and I believe those customers fell for the upcharges. We didn't. We had them take all of the sleek new appliances back to the store, and even though it took several days, we were eventually refunded every penny of the thousands we spent. We will not be using Texas Appliance again, because making the sale was more important than selling us something we could actually use. Until the sales team is in sync with the installation crew, I don't anticipate Texas Appliance will be useful for the average consumer. read more

I went to the new location in Hurst to get pricing on kitchen appliances and left with mixed emotions. They gave me a total price for everything and I asked if they can do any better on pricing and they said no. As I'm walking out the salesman tells me to come on the weekend as they're having a "balloon" special with up to 10% off. So much for discounted pricing, right?!? This was Friday and he wanted me to come back the next day; he could've sold me if he'd given me a little better pricing and he would've saved us both time!!! After reading reviews from other consumers about different pricing/salesman, I wanted to see if this was true so I visited the Arlington store. I asked for the EXACT appliances (same model #) and sure enough, pricing was $75 cheaper. $75 is still 75 bucks but what makes me upset is every consumer gets a different price and thats not fair. When the salesman was adding the totals he was utilizing 10-key for 10 mins and I was like great! (sarcastic) pricing is gonna be different because he has to factor in his commission. Bottom line - Its hit or miss with these guys. They're salesman and they pitch their appliances and warranty but don't really know a lot about them (especially warranty, very vague). I hate the fact that every visit is a different price. Are they cheaper? Yes but only on select things. Customer service is so so. I'm taking their quote and getting it price matched at Sears Home Appliance Showroom (so much nicer than Sears @ the mall) as they much better customer service and a better warranty; they give you the detailed warranty with the fine print highlighted. My wife purchased a $5,600 dollar (new) GE appliance package: range, fridge, dishwasher & microwave, from the Texas Appliance store in Arlington, TX in July 2016. It took 2 weeks for the appliances to be delivered ... "The items weren't in stock". The new fridge failed, within a week of installation. We called the Texas Appliance store 3 times. Different days. Different times. To find out what help they could offer. Each time we were told the salesman (Steve), who had sold us the appliances, was "unavailable". Finally someone at Texas Appliances (Arlington) informed us ... "we don't do repairs on the appliances we sell. Warrantee work is done by others" and gave us a phone number. It took nearly a week for a GE certified repairman to arrive and fix the fridge. The dishwasher quit working 3 months later. Again, we had to wait a week for a repairman to show up. After inspecting the dishwasher, he informed us, "the circuit board" required replacement. He didn't have one in stock, and that it would be one to two weeks for the part to arrive, and for him to install it. Our experience with GE appliances, have convinced us they're junk. Equally distressing was the brisk, almost callous disregard we were treated with, by Texas Appliances (Arlington), when we sought "after the sale" assistance. Texas Appliance (Arlington) was happy to make the sale. But did not seem as keen to offer help, or assist a customer experiencing problems with the appliances they sell, afterwards. I'm prone to analysis paralysis when it comes to large $ purchases. Unfortunately, when approaching higher end appliances for a kitchen remodel, I was out of my element on where to begin research and analysis. I had an idea of what I wanted, but was absolutely flummoxed attempting to compare options. Insert a random day where I decided to stop by Texas Appliance. I walked in, and despite looking like a rumpled mess, Joe Henley was there to help. We discussed all the nuanced details of my kitchen needs and without treating me like an idiot, explained the various positives and negatives of cook tops with downdraft, versus cook tops with a freestanding hood versus a Viking range versus a Wolf Range, etc. We went through and did the same thing for refrigerators, ovens, washer & dryer types and brands. By the end of what was probably two hours, I felt both educated and taken care of, so much so, I ended up purchasing my entire kitchen and laundry room. Upon leaving, I experienced a bit of self doubt. How much of an up-charge was I paying and should I have been plugging model numbers into my phone for the 4 billion reviews that might be online? Fast forward to post delivery. I've plugged those prices and models into Dr. Google and insert other major retailers. I am very disappointed in the service. I was in the store on the 31st of August purchased a Dishwasher and microwave spending over $1500. I was told both would be delivered on the 9th due to the holiday. I received a call from Anthony on 9/7 at 6pm stating they were loading my appliances in the truck and the dishwasher was dented. He further stated a new one would be ordered and delivered on the 12th in the early afternoon. I instructed him to not make two trips bring them both on 12th. The microwave showed up on the 9th. NO ONE LISTENED! When my husband called yesterday (12th) to verify the dishwasher was coming Anthony informed him there was not even a work order for it, they would have to order it and it might be delivered Monday. Anthony also was disrespectful to my husband. As my husband was explaining the facts Anthony repeatedly stated "will you let me speak" . We cancelled the dishwasher purchase. We as of 8:30am 9/13/2019 we have not received the email verifying this credit. This is not acceptable customer service. I am a director of nursing I spend everyday caring for people. I have been buying at Texas Appliance for possibly decades. I bought for my house and for our three businesses. So, I have bought lots of appliances from them. My experience is not some one off. The service is excellent and you are not going into some box store, through paint and plumbing, to get to appliances. They are very knowledgeable, fast service and priced very competitively priced. If there is any downside it is that sometimes, due to my complete lack of patience to have it delivered, I have to drive from the south Arlington store over to the Pioneer Parkway store to pick up my merchandise. I walked into Texas Appliance and was greeted by Joe Henley who took me on the tour of (snore) washer/dryers (I would rather be shopping for shoes) and after listening to my checklist of what I expected he led me right to the Samsung unit I had decided would work best before I walked in. So disappointed!!! I am looking to replace my old double wall oven & cooktop & so I contacted Texas Appliance & requested texting to communicate. My request was to see if someone could come out to measure so I could be sure to purchase the correct products. I would also need installation & extended warranty. The CSR texted that it would be $50 to come out to measure. That was fine, so I started setting up the appointment until they asked for the $50 UP FRONT!!! They said they'd send a link to me to put in my payment information. Eeek!!!! NO WAY!! This is really poor business. I asked why & they said it was to reserve the spot. Nope. Nope. Nope. This is a really bad business policy & will lose you good business. In this case, it lost you approximately $5,000 cash over $50. And that outsourcing your texts to some other number with a non-local area code is also poor business. It looks like a scam & that's why I called your store. Why would I ever send my personal information to some link from a number like that? Eek!!! I have purchased many items from Texas Appliance in the past. I recently purchased a built in microwave and trim kit from the Arlington store which was defective out of the box. I made arrangements for them to replace my unit. GE repair services showed up, however, for SERVICE of the defective product and without another microwave as the store had promised.I I called the store and spoke with manager. She informed me that they only replace defective products in the store. I told her that this was not promised by her salesman, and frankly, I don't think that cared one bit. Most telling was the GE Service rep who told us that Texas Appliance is "well-known" for promising one thing to the customer and not following thru on the promises made. I will return the oven to them, get my money back, and find another store for Our appliance needs. We bought a Whirlpool gas cooktop on 11/9/18 and setup an installation date of 11/27/18 with the assistance of salesman Ricky. The installation guy named Luis Lopez was outstanding. He installed our cooktop as if it were in his own residence. He had to make some modifications in our cabinet for the cooktop to fit. His work was very professional and thorough. He also cleaned up the area after the installation. For two years we have been trying to have a new cooktop installed without success. The primary difference between Texas Appliance and other retailers is that their installers are employees and not contractors. Therefore, they are willing to do the extra work needed for a precise installation. We recommend Texas Appliance in Arlington, TX. read more

The worst customer service I have ever had. Bought a 14,000.00 refrigerator. They told me it would take 3 weeks and scheduled my installation. I went in 2 different times to make sure I was picking the perfect refrigerator. Gave the salesman the measurements two different times he wrote them down and showed me the refrigerators I could pick from. First the the day before delivery a got a call we need 3-4 more weeks before delivery, 2nd when the fridge finally got here the installer walked in my house looked at my old fridge and said this refrigerator will not fit. The sales rep should have had some one come out and measure that is their responsibility (never got an offer to do this for me.) The fridge they delivered was 41 1/2" the space was 42. 3rd the salesman knew this and never said a word. So I had to decide if I kept the fridge I bought and have a cabinet maker come and fix the space or get another fridge. I called the store 3 times before I got any kind of answer. I called the manager 3 times never heard from him. This is what they said you can fix the cabinet or wait 3-6 weeks to get a fridge that will fit. We (not the store are paying to have a cabinet guy come out here and make this work. The manager did call after all of this was settled and waited until Saturday morning (too little,too late) told me they had a meeting so this would not happen again YEA for them. Never offered to pay for the cabinet work, no discount on the refrigerator that is still not installed. I will never buy anything from this store again and I will tell everyone I know not to. read more

I went to Texas Appliance in Arlington to buy a refrigerator, and received a nice discount when I was enticed to participate in their Texas Two-Step special, also purchasing a mattress to qualify for the discount. Got the fridge, it didn't work. After multiple tech visits, 4 separate refrigerators delivered (all faulty), and 4 months later, we got a refund from GE minus the discount. Basically the discount I received was swept out from under us due to a faulty product, and neither GE or Texas Appliance would make it right in order to get us back with a comparable product. Joi at Texas Appliance completely lacked empathy. When I spoke to her about my situation she looked annoyed, possibly because we were speaking in front of her employees. It was strange. She also did not reply or react to an email sent from another store employee (Jan) days earlier about my concern, but she told me she had seen it. Why no reply? Not very reactive or proactive in handling concerns. In summary, Joi basically told me that she could not and would not help, and did not offer a comparable discount or assistance towards another refrigerator. I don't believe that I can shop here any more due to the negative experience. The sales team works well from what I observed, but Joi as a manager lacks quality customer service. The original salesman Lloyd is a good salesman, and is knowledgeable and amicable. I would buy from him again if he worked at another store. read more

Went to Arlington store, stood in frigid show room looking for an oven. Stood there for 15 freezing minutes waiting for incompetent sales person to find price, of two ovens. With someone helping him, (Jose) finally came up with prices; this only after I went back into main showroom!!! We stayed in the "frozen human section", he went inside. He was unable to explain the reason for the differences, suggesting we go back out to their meat locker. This person had ZERO knowledge. I was given a price of $1,349.00, but we left due to his total incompetence, and inability to explain even a basic feature. Subsequently, I called the "main store" and was quoted a price of $2,100.00!!! Bought a microwave in December. It was installed by Texas Appliance contractor, 2 months later (February, 2016) it quit working. Took it out as it is built in, and then noticed what a really crappy job was done installing it. Had to cut the cabinet opening a bit, well in short it was a butcher job. Only about 25% of the hardware was used in assembly, i e., screws, etc. The saw job is horrible on the cabinet. Further in calling Texas Appliance on a two month old microwave, was informed no store warranty after 30 days and referred to manufacture rep. They said this model was not covered for home service and referred to manufacturer. Said to reboot it, and it does work UNTIL the next time; probably 2 months. Texas appliance said nothing about 30 days warranty, Nor did they say it was not warranted for home service in the event of quick malfunctions----2 months is quick. Would not recommend them to anybody. Will certainly un-recommend them though. read more

These people are super friendly and helpful when you are ready to buy... but when the appliance breaks or doesn't work out... they are horrible to deal with. Take your money elsewhere. We bought 3 new appliances, and the built in microwave we bought turned out to be way too big- the measurements were right, but the handle, depth, etc was much larger than what we had imagined. They charged us a 'restocking fee' to return the dang thing 1 week later. The microwave was never even taken out of the box, but it had to be "restocked"??? Not cool. Then the light inside the stove went out a couple of weeks after we bought it... I called them expecting an apology and a quick service appointment. Joe answered the phone and very lazily told me I needed to call the manufacturer... not great customer service. I bought 4 appliances few weeks ago expending over $2k, I think the price and customer service was fair while shopping. After near an hour the sales person "Gaby" reccomended to visit the Outlet Location in Pioneer for extra saving. I ended buying only the GE oven in the outlet and the other 3 appliances in the I-20 store, the person who took care of me in the outlet "Jose" explained very clear that even though this oven is in discount price it's in perfect condition and I have a year manufacture warranty plus a month to report the store for any malfunction with equipment. Our handyman installed this oven following instructions and the light bulb wasn't working. I called "José" immediately to report this minor incident hoping they would give me a new bulb or pay for my bill (around $10) if I buy from Home Depot. Jose told me that I have to call GE to report it and a technician would come to check and replace the light bulb, but he stated that GE will charge me for that visit and he reccomended to buy the bulb by myself. At this point this guy and the entire store wash their hands off. And for me was the first and the last time I made business with this people. read more

When our previous washer died, I knew I wanted the next one to be top quality because I don't want to have to replace it soon. I did some research before going to Texas Appliance, and determined the features important to me. They helped me locate the ones with those features, also pointed out some things I didn't realize or hadn't considered, and the price was so good for the value I was getting, I also bought the matching dryer.....with no pressure from the sales person! I placed a phone oder for a washer and dryer set June 20th, even though the dryer wasn't in the warehouse I was told by the salesman that the washer would be delivered on Saturday June 23rd (due to my circumstances) and that he would call me Saturday around 9:30 to provide the delivery time. He had my email address and said he would send the invoice which he never sent, my suspicion was that it had the delivery date on it and it was going to be a later date. On Saturday I never received the call so I called them at 11:00 am. The person on the phone said the salesman called in sick and the delivery date was for the 26th, this confirmed my suspicion that I was lied to. The person I spoke with on Saturday stated that his manager confirmed that it couldn't be delivered till Tuesday I doubt he even asked, I was offered a $50.00 discount due to the 2 hours of waiting for a call, my time is worth more than $25.00/hour so the order was cancelled. I have ZERO tolerance for liars and what poor customer service, they should have followed through with the delivery. Needless to say this lack of customer service saved me $176.96 when I bought the washer and dryer set elsewhere. read more
