Bought an large upright freezer from them in June of 2021. The freezer quit working in June of 2023. I went in to see if there was anything they could help me with through the manufacturer and they told me they weren't their responsible and it was probably a power glitch. Do not buy online. They charged me for a cooktop installation that was never installed (still have no cooktop). I have been getting the run-around on the phone for months. Have been assured for the last month and a half I would be refunded after a manager initially told me I was lucky to not be paying more. Finally had to just dispute the credit card charges. Horrible customer service. They still owe me money. Disappearing act. read more

Their installation specialist came to our home and broke our sink when attempting to install a new dishwasher. Now we have no water pressure only in our kitchen. Everything else is normal. Rather than sending a plumber to check it, they sent two other installation techs who did nothing to help. They are giving us the run around and we regret ever buying anything from them. We ordered a fridge and we were told it would be delivered on Wednesday well Wednesday came and gone then we were told first thing Monday morning 9:00am to be exact. Well 9:00am came and went then about 5:00pm it arrives so the lady in charge of deliveries gets to choose when to change the time but not inform people not sure if I would keep her around. If people spent hundreds of dollars on one item, working in the customer service industry I would make sure that I would keep them happy to become a repeat customer. I would not recommend this place strictly because of the lady in charge of deliveries. Floor staff was great but she is not (bad apple). read more

I gave this store 2 stars to be generous but I did not have a good experience here which is why I did not purchase anything. The first thing I noticed is that I was not greeted upon entering. The entire front of the store is made of glass (so they can see you walking up if they are paying attention) and the counter the employees stand behind is facing the front of the store with a very clear, unobstructed view of customers when they walk in. So I thought it was a bit rude that when I came in there were two employees at the counter who said nothing to me. So I started to look around and started realizing that their prices are about the same as other retailers so I would hate to see what the prices are like at the original Texas Appliance. Finally one older gentleman who worked there came up to me and introduced himself and asked me what I was looking for. I told him I needed everything. I'm moving into a new home and I need a dishwasher, washer, dryer, and refrigerator. So he led me to the refrigerators. I know some people tend to come off as brash, though they may mean no harm but he seemed annoyed when I asked him questions and aggressive with his answers. He seemed to talk down to me, even though at times he would misunderstand my questions. At one point we passed one of the men at the counter who didn't speak when I came. I smiled at him when we made eye contact. He rolled his eyes and kept walking. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day but I thought their customer service in general could use some improvement. I told the man few times that I was just looking today and I just wanted to browse. He would say okay and continued to follow me around staring at me. I appreciate him helping me but I needed to be able to look around and think without him offering up facts every few seconds. He also seemed to assume that if I didn't like something that I couldn't afford it and kept trying to show me cheaper options. Another thing I noticed is that most of their merchandise says "No refunds. No exchanges." and only come with a one-year manufacturers warranty although a few of their products come with a warranty that may be 3 years. If you're looking for a deal, want the option to return or exchange if it doesn't work like you thought, or want to be treated with respect and kindness, do not come here. read more

Do not buy from Renee Scott at the Arlington I-20 location. Sold us an oven on sale said it was convection and if it did not fit they would swap it out with one that did. Oven delivered was not convection and did not fit. When we called next day she said we would have to pay a 40% restocking fee and there was nothing she could do. Asked for mgr to call me and left messages and no call had been returned. Now I have an oven that does not fit, my old one was damaged by the installer, and wife is enjoying not having to cook. read more
