I had an appointment with Mell, he runs very late for your scheduled appointment, tell them to give you five minutes warning and then you'll disrobe or you'll be sitting in your underwear in a paper robe for a LONG TIME. When Mell finally comes into the room he'll size you up and make a diagnosis based off of your physical appearance and challenge any previous diagnoses you've had. If you have systemic lupus I'd say he's not a doctor I'd choose. My previous rheumatologist called him in advance, brought him up to speed with my current situation; yet Mell disregarded all of what Dr Nguyen told him and said "you don't have lupus". At that point I stopped the appointment told him I'd not be using him as my doctor and asked him to leave so I could dress. He didn't leave and continued to say I didn't have lupus and he wouldn't believe it unless I brought him proof as he watch me get dressed. TRUE STORY Sad part is he has a very pleasant and efficient staff. If I could have given him zero star I'd have done it. This post is necessary as others need to know to stay away. That whole visit with Mell caused me to go into a lupus flare with inflammation to my joints causing severe pain. Again stay away from this man. He is not a doctor I'd recommend to anyone EVER!!

They were the ones that call me and asked me to come in due to my Dr's referral but when I got there they told me I didn't have an appointment and that they never called me. I explained them I had taken the day off from work and I showed them the call logged in on my phone, but still they wanted me to come in on another day. I will never set a foot on that office again. I believe there's other reviews similar to mine.

After my boyfriend had his eye exam done here, I decided it was time for some new contacts and glasses so I set up an appointment. They were able to get me in within two weeks and at a time that worked for me. To speed up the process they also gave me the paperwork when scheduling my appointment and told me I could just bring it with when I came back. Efficiency. Everyone that I interacted with was friendly and cheerful. I even appreciated that the doctor didn't try to confuse me in any way and actually set straight a lot of misinformation I was given by my previous doctor/salesperson. You know the best part... the glaucoma machine. You know the machine that blows air into your eyes to test the pressure? At the previous optometrist, I'd always "fail" the test and then I'd have to go through the process of having my eyes dilated which always sucks because driving after is the worst. FBOC's glaucoma machine was actually able to give a real reading because it was a quick push of air instead of the long shot of air that was always forced my eyes to shut. No dilation, YAY! Pretty smooth process and from start to finish was maybe an hour of my time. The staff is great. And I felt like they really went the extra mile with everything... the doctor even decided it was best to do a follow up appointment since there was some uncertainty with my contacts. I paid out of pocket and felt that the price for a contact and glasses prescription was reasonable at $129 (and that included the trial pair of contact lenses).
