The level of care from Dr Lee was personal and reassuring. Finally, a practice that addresses patient issues in a prompt and caring fashion!

His PA, Mary is reliable, knowledgeable, and absolutely wonderful to work with. They are all passionate people who truly love working with Dr. Khan and are inspired by their patients. A routine physical (for my mom) led to a hematologist and those results led to Dr. Khan. The diagnosis was Polycythemia Vera (PV). Polycythemia is a blood cancer that causes your bone marrow to make too many red blood cells. This was a rare disease 20 years ago but Dr. Khan was able to figure it out and start her on oral chemotherapy. Today, PV is well known, with more information and treatments. I've been a part of her journey from the beginning. Twenty years of weekly INR appointments, routine bone marrow biopsies, numerous scans and imaging to name a few. The pandemic has been a tricky situation for us, and her cancer, but appointments with Dr. Khan's office has been safe. They have updated their protocols so that everyone involved can stay safe. At the moment I cannot go in with her, everyone is asked to stay in their car if they are not a patient. I understand. If you are new, they are offering online appointments to get started. Did I mention that my mom is 88?

Drs Barker and Kirkpatrick combined forces to design my chemo and radiation treatment plan and their wonderful staffs carried out the plan and I cannot express my gratitude enough to them. Cancer is scary stuff but with the right team behind you it gets a little less scary and folks these people are amazing!

A sizable mass was diagnosed as endometrial carcinoma. During surgery, lymph nodes, ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, and cervix were all biopsied, and I was relieved to learn that every result came back negative for further cancer involvement. The surgery was done robotically and laparoscopically, which greatly eased recovery. I no longer needed pain medication just two days post-op, and within four weeks my incisions had already faded--leaving very little evidence of surgery at all. I would recommend Dr. Oh to anyone seeking a physician who is not only highly educated, experienced, and skilled, but also straightforward and reassuring. He inspired confidence at every step, and that confidence was completely justified. Thanks to his care, I am now cancer-free with a low risk of recurrence.

The appointment felt very rushed, and I was diagnosed with PCOS almost immediately, before I felt a thorough evaluation had been completed. An abdominal ultrasound was not offered, and there was very little discussion about the diagnosis, potential symptoms, or other treatment options available. The only treatment presented was oral contraceptives, which were provided as office samples. Unfortunately, I later discovered that the samples were expired on the day I was supposed to begin taking them. That was very concerning and reflected a lack of attention to patient care and professionalism. Throughout the visit, I felt that many of the symptoms and concerns I mentioned were dismissed rather than fully addressed. I understand that medical professionals rely on their expertise, but I would have appreciated a more thorough evaluation, better communication, and a discussion of alternative options. Based on my experience, I would not return to this office.

My medical team at TXO is fantastic and it is obvious they all communicate because there has not been a time that I felt that anyone was out of sync. I love all of my doctors and the lab and infusion center are run quickly but professionally and they have treated me as a person and not just another body with cancer. If you go to Texas Breast Specialists within TXO, you will LOVE Shay! She remembered my name from day one and even recognized me immediately when I had lost all of my hair. Several reviews say that you cannot change doctors once you have worked with one. I am SO glad to say that was not the case here. I had seen Dr. Gill for a DVT several years back and we never really meshed well. My choice of doctors for breast cancer was never questioned. Perhaps it was because this was breast cancer-centric but I don't know. All I know is that it was seamless for me. Here is my timeline. You can see that things have progressed very efficiently, even as I have moved from one doctor's care to another. 06/12/2024 - diagnosis 06/20/2024 - met surgeon 06/28/2024 - lumpectomy * Time spent for body to heal from surgery * 07/23/2024 - met medical oncologist 07/25/2024 - met radiation oncologist 07/29/2024 - chemo began 10/08/2024 - last chemo 10/10/2024 - radiation follow-up & mapping 10/21/2024 - radiation start (was deferred due to an unrelated issue) 11/04/2024 - begin radiation 11/25/2024 - end radiation Hormone blocker medication will follow all of the above treatments My doctors, all of whom I highly recommend: Breast surgeon - Dr. Mary Brian (has since retired) Medical oncologist - Dr. Lea Krekow Radiation oncologist - Dr. Janice Tomberlin Finally, Dr. Krekow's nurse Krystal is one of the best and most personable nurses that I have ever worked with. I dont think so. I've gone to see a few specialists and they all agreed to yes, it is! One even ran a test. He interrupts me when I try to talk everytime! He has totally ruined my whole body. Have to see so many specialists to try to slowly fix myself. I'm getting on disability for a little while to try to figure out how I can put myself back together from this!? I asked for him to please sign a letter for me so I can get on Snap? Already totally embarrassed,He says no!!! and then he says he will look over it. I called back the next day and spoke to his nurse, and she was just as rude.! I have friends that have cancer and they say I don't need to be going to the doctor! There's just so many things off about him and the way he destroyed my self-esteem!
