OVER BILLED! Wow, I had no idea this clinic had such bad reviews! So, here's my experience: 1. Annual Well-Child check-up - this is a co-pay-free visit - no co-pay involved. During our visit with Dr. Palmer, she asked if we had any question - well, yes.. we asked a few questions - BIG MISTAKE! Texas Children's Pediatrics Cinco Ranch used this opportunity to turn our no-co-pay visit into a regular visit because we asked questions!!! Unbelievable!! To take advantage of us during our well-child visit! I contacted the office to question and correct this charge but they referred me to the corporate billing office - who then said I need to speak to the actual location (Dr. Palmer's office) because they are responsible for the coding/billing. I then spoke with Nancy (nurse), who said the charge is valid because we asked a question. This office needs to be closed - based on the reviews - they're a mess! Shame on you Texas Children's!!! Shame! 2. Sick visit canceled and I was charged a no-show fee!!! I called before the actual appointment time - to cancel - as my daughter was vomiting and not able to travel to the appt. I explained this and yet - I was charged a no-show fee!!!! Geez - this office is horrible!!! So, if you plan to check out this office - don't waste your time - they don't live up to the CR expectation. read more

The doctor's in this clinic are nice, but this clinic is all about money. They do not care about the patient. They will care, as long you pay them first. If you can't pay the copay, they will not see your child. Also, if you have a balance, they will tell you in front of other people, and that is HIPPA violation. read more

Dr. Jasani is very thoughtful & thorough. She takes her time getting to the root of the problem & doesn't over-prescribe medicine which I really like. She has also worked with me on an alternative immunization schedule (we get all vaccines but spread out). The office does not have a separate sick & well waiting area which is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. The front office staff have changed for the better & seem to be more organized. Bonus is that both of my children love Dr. Jasani!! read more

We came here on a referral for my daughter's 2 month appointment, it did not go so great. After 1.5 hours of waiting I got back in line to ask the receptionist if I was missing something. Her response was "oh, I forgot about you." I appreciated that she rushed to get us in after she realized how long we had been waiting, but... The pediatrician followed up with the mishap. He was nice, as were half of the nurses (hence the 2 stars--I swear I'm not that hard to please). He gave plenty of information, but so quickly that I barely retained anything. I felt like a deer in headlights and eventually realized he was giving the same spiel he gave everyone in order to get to his next appointment. I don't remember about 90% of it. Next were the vaccines. I expected the experience to be rough because my daughter would be in pain and crying. I did not expect to be told that I could not stay in the room for 5 minutes and nurse her to help with the experience--and as I'm being shooed out with a crying baby, diaper bag and carseat, that I could not throw away a slightly wet diaper...? The nurse could have at least pretended to be compassionate. We may have been spoiled by our pediatrician in Denver before we moved. They had nursing pillows and diaper pails, everyone was friendly, and my daughter never had to be exposed to 20+ sick children in the waiting room because we were forgotten. In the end, I took the 10-deep patient line to make our next appointment as a final sign that we need to look elsewhere for a pediatrician. Bummer! read more

TERRIBLE service. I placed a call in to one of the doctor's regarding a medication issue. I never received a call back. Now, 3 weeks later, we are out of town and my child has come down with a sinus infection. I placed a call in at 10 am yesterday morning, another call at 4 pm, and again at 6pm only to discover that the office had closed for the day. The answering service transferred me to a doctor who advised me to go to urgent care. Great. Could someone have told me that at 10 am? Was OUR doctor ever going to give us a call back? They completely drop the ball on good patient care/service. I would not recommend this office to anyone. read more

Dr. Puranik is the best pediatric doctor! Very patient with our questions and wonderful with kids! We've been taking our kiddo to him for 7 years and he really connects with them. Has great energy and a very positive demeanor. Truly a great doctor! read more

I haven't actually gotten as far as seeing a doctor here, we were new to the area and my son needed to see someone urgently as he had a pretty massive staph infection on his leg, they turned me away saying they don't see new patients when they're sick!? Luckily my own doctor agreed to see him and I found a pediatrician elsewhere for next time. read more

Over the past 5 years, i have given TCPA opportunity after opportunity to prove themselves to me. Although I have liked the physicians that we have seen, the office is poorly run and it is extremely frustrating to 1) get an appointment and 2) get seen once you arrive. I would not recommend this office unless they completely restructure their policies and procedures. read more

This review is long overdue! Dr. Puranik is seriously the best pediatrician ever. When our first child was born we saw at least 4-5 different pediatricians in her first couple weeks of life because she had severe jaundice that ended up getting her re-admitted to the hospital and was getting her bilirubin levels checked like every day. We searched diligently for a pediatrician that we could trust. We stopped our search the moment we met Dr. Puranik. We moved a couple years ago to Richmond/Sugar Land area but still commute to TCP Cinco Ranch because he is the best of the best. The wait has never been longer than 15 minutes or so to get into a room and the front office people are decent but this 5 star rating is mainly because you just don't find pediatricians who genuinely care are much as Dr. Puranik does. He remembers every little detail of our girl's visits and when there is something wrong he is diligent in making sure they get better. When my youngest got an umbilical cord infection he had me update him every single day for 3 days through mychart to make sure she was getting better and even called to check in. He never makes you feel like your questions are dumb or a waste of his time (even if you have a million of them) and he has always given great advice for any concerns we have. Every child should be lucky enough to have a pediatrician like Dr. Puranik. It's too bad there's only one of him! read more

We have seen most of the doctors here. We've been using this office for seven years. All of the doctors have been awesome. When we first began coming here (seven years ago), the wait time could be excessive, and getting an appointment took a good amount of time, as well. However, since MyChart was implemented by the office, getting an appointment is the easiest thing in the world. I can log in at 9 pm and make an appointment for 8 am the next day, if that time is available. I don't have to speak to anyone. Super easy and efficient! The wait times seem to have gone down as well in the last couple of years. I'm usually put into a room within 15-20 minutes. Dr Haney was our original dr with my first child and we loved her. She helped us understand and deal with the dreaded infant reflux and cows milk allergy. Dr Haneys availability is limited, so we moved to Dr Jasani for our second child. She is awesome, as well, and helped us get through the reflux and milk allergy with our second child. I wrote this review because I saw prior reviews commenting on wait times and office staff. I would suggest to anyone that had those issues before, but loved the doctors to maybe try again. I was close to switching years ago-due to the same reasons-but I'm glad I stuck around. I have to say that getting an appointment is now probably easier than any other office around! read more

The first time I took my baby to Dr. Puranik, I knew he's the one. I had changed 4 different pediatricians before I found Dr. Puranik for my baby. I've never seen any doctors as friendly as Dr. Puranik. He connects with my baby. And vice versa. He's extremely knowledgeable. His diagnosis is on point. Like I said, I went through 4 different pediatricians. He takes time to listen to my concerns. He answers all the questions I have. I never feel rushed. And on top of that, I've been taking Elise to him since she was 6 months old, now she's 18 months old, never once have I waited too long to see him. As soon as the nurse's done with the vital signs, I'd say about 5 to 10 mins, you'll hear him knocking on the door. Every time. Never fails. He's so bubbly, so energetic when he comes in. He radiates all the good vibes. As far as customer service, there's used to be one lady at the front desk not very nice tone of voice. I don't think she works there anymore. I haven't seen her the last 2 visits. But I go to there for the doctor. Not all doctors are equal. I spoke from experience. Great doctors are hard to come by. I would not just not go there because of some mean front desk lady. She's gone anyway. That's even better. read more

Love Dr. Jasani. Very kind and informative. Would like to add to this review. We have been here 5-6 times now and dr Jasani is still as wonderful as ever. We really feel happy to have her. Great experience w other staff too. My son had a high fever which came to or attention after hours and they called us immediately after I placed a call to call center. The nurses were very helpful. Front desk could be a little more jolly but can't really blame them since they deal w the chaos all day. read more

I took my 10 month old to see Dr. Jasani, for the first time. I was able to get a same day appointment, as a new patient. The staff was warm and compassionate. Dr Jasani was very nice and very knowledgeable. She treated my daughter for an ear infection. I checked in 10 minutes before my appointment, which was at 11:30 and was out by 12 noon. I would recommend Dr Jasani if you are on a busy schedule and are looking for a good pediatrician. read more

But now the front office staff messed up the billing and did not submit to insurance and started denying appointment for my toddler immunization. The staff does not care to listen to billing Office also. So please be careful while updating your insurance. Did not expect such behavior from TCP. Time to switch. read more

A drastic change! Many times, I dreaded to take my kids in and wanted to change our pediatrician because of the wait time and various other reasons but I didn't because I liked the doctors. My GOD things have been changed! It seems like they heard our concerns loud and clear and it shows that they cared.... Its supper easy to make appointments through mychart now(I no longer wait for 25+ mins on the phone because of mychart) and these past several times we have been there, we have been in and out in less than 45 mins with the same level and quality of care. This is an impressive change! Those who have been going here know exactly what I am talking about. Shout out to the office staff for being sweet and accommodating as well. We have been seeing Dr. Razak for 6 years now for both my kids and I don't think I could ask for a better pediatrician. He is very thorough, patient , will listen to everything we have to say, and knows his patients in and out. He is very sensible in his approach towards either the precautions or treatment he prescribes and won't try to over medicate. He has been a blessing for us right from day 1. read more

When you need them most, you will be left hanging out to dry. The Cinco ranch office is closed every other Saturday and refer their patients to the Katy office, well, guess what? The Katy office as well as every other pediatrics TX Children's pediatrics office, do not see and will not schedule patients from other locations on Saturdays. So the end result from Texas Children's Pediatrics is the middle finger if you happen to need them on Saturdays. Your last option is to go to the Texas Children's emergency room and spend $500 - $1000 for some antibiotics, what a racket. Shame on you Texas Children's! Definitely stay away from this enormous corporation, the service has always been slow and now non-existent. read more

TCPA in Cinco Ranch front desk experience is terrible.... the queue on Saturday is like Walmart grocery checkout... no greeting when u arrived , infact you have to wait for 10 mins to checkin and only one lady at the front desk for multiple patients and she handles billing, appointments, queries, checking and etc,. Terrible experience, they should hire another person and keep a separate line for checking who has appointment....they simply take new patients but don't know how to accommodate all with less doctors... they should seriously think about this.... they don't give sick appointments for the same day for 5+ years patients who r coming to TCPA.... very bad experience... on top of that long waiting.... read more

Dr Haney is WONDERFUL. That being said, the office is poorly run. At our last visit, for a well-baby appointment that had been scheduled 3 months in advanced, we have to wait 2 hour 45 minutes! I brushed it off thinking that it would be alright because if I had an emergency, I would expect to be accommodated just like the children who had bumped back my appointment. A month later, my infant got bronchitis. An appointment could not be made until the next day. The receptionist asked if I wanted to speak to a nurse. I said yes, because my daughter had a 103 degree fever. After 30 minutes on hold, I gave up and just too her to urgent care. We're looking for a new ped. Because of this. read more

We have been going here for 4 years and while I love Dr Jasani, the management and other staff are awful! Over the last year it has declined! Hold times to just make an appointment is 15+ minutes and it takes 2 weeks to get a refill! I'm done......we are moving to a new pediatrician. We were patients there for 6 years! The ONLY reason we stuck it out was in order for my 3 kids to be seen by Dr. Haney about whom I have NOTHING bad to say, she is phenomenal! It makes me so sad to have to leave the practice all because the administration and scheduling is horrible. Every visit (whether well-child, newborn or sick) we waited no less than 1 hour and it's all one big open room where my often times healthy kids would wait along side kids with the flu coughing all over us. A lot of times we couldn't even get in to see our preferred doctor. Overall just a frustrating experience to come in. We just moved to Katy. My kids are 4 and 1, and have been 3 times to this TCPA office in three weeks, twice for ear infections, and once for a well check. All three times, we waited for over an hour in the main waiting room, and then another half hour to hour in the exam room. The doctors have been nice, but hurried. These are kids! To get an appointment, you have to stay on hold for 20 to 30 minutes, or drive over, as I did today. If it had happened once, I wouldn't be on here, but three times in three weeks! I will continue to go there only until I find someone else, but I fear that all the offices around here are just large and corporate. What a shame. Convenient location, kind doctors and nurses, horrible scheduling. read more

There is always an excuse for the delay...someone was sick and needed the doctor's attention. Dr is fabulous, but typical one hour wait for each appointment with a newborn is ridiculous. Tried to call nurse line with question, after waiting on hold over 15 minutes nurse said she would get back to me. After not hearing back for several hours I called back, waited on hold 20 minutes, only to hear they meant to get back to me, but "got busy" and had no answer to my question, and I should contact my OBGYN. Ok, that would have been great to know 6 hours before or sometime before right before the close of office on Friday. Our first appt we waited over an hour in the waiting room. The visit w/ the Dr was very good, though, so we didn't mind the wait. The second appt we waited 15 in waiting room and over an hour once called back to a room. After an hour with a 4 week old, we were told our Dr had to leave and we would have to get worked in to another Dr's schedule or reschedule. Why would I want to reschedule after waiting over an hour? Next appt we were told to come in at four weeks to follow up with some medical issues in my newborn. When we came in for the appt the office and medical assistants acted all confused about how my baby couldn't get immunizations because it was only 5 weeks. I kept telling them it was a 1 month appt, yet they treated it like a 2 month appt. Finally I was told to come at 6 weeks for a nurse appt to get the immunizations, then 2weeks after that for the 2 month appt. Now, the evening before the 9am appt, I get a call from the assistant asking why I have appts scheduled at 6 and 8 weeks. This is the most poorly managed, disorganized, rude front office, medical assistants, vicky "nurse supervisor" is condescending and rude. Despite the Dr being very nice. It's not worth it. We definitely won't be back. read more

I had to get up & go to the receptionist & ask did they overlook us. I always had to reschedule the appointment because I couldn't wait any longer. I just came back from my child's well exam from TCP- Cinco Ranch and I'm sad to say that it wasn't what I was expecting. For starters, like other reviewers have noted, the check in desk is right in the middle of the waiting room, which doesn't give us much privacy if we have to discuss something in private with the front desk. Also, I was very unimpressed with the ladies working the front desk. They did not seem very friendly or happy to be working there. They did not have a well side and sick side in the waiting room, but did have a small infant waiting area. The wait time is ridiculous. I had to wait over an hour! I liked my doctor, but I'm not sure if I would recommend this practice to my friends and family. read more

When you call, they put you on hold forever...only to speak with a not so smart nurse, who didn't know if it was important to boil water to make powdered formula or whether to buy nursery water with or without added flouride. read more

We love Dr. Haney, but I can no longer bring myself to take my children here. 5 stars for the doctor, -5 for the office. They are open from 8:30-4 and closed from 11:30-1:30 for lunch. Are you kidding me???? Whoever runs this practice doesn't give AF about sick kids, that's for sure.I had to cancel because of a family emergency and they said they were going to charge me $25 for canceling. We've been going there for 5 years and every time I have been at the office for 2-3 hours because the wait times are awful. This office has good doctors but the wait times are horrific. I came here after our insurance dropped Kelsey Seybold. I can't compare the extreme drop in customer service. TCH in cinco is just awful. They need to get a handle on scheduling. The front office staff aren't that customer friendly either. Today I arrived at 3:45 for a 4:10 office. I was reprimanded for it and told that I was not going to be checked in until 10 minutes before my appointment. I use reprimand because the tone of voice used to tell me I was too early was very unprofessional as though I had committed a crime. I knew I was early and a simple please wait and we'll let you know when the doctor can see you. I am definitely searching for other pediatric doctor services. read more

The doctors are phenomenal but the administrative staff is a trainwreck. If you need any assistance be prepared to wait on hold for at least 20 minutes. If you leave a message, they will not return your call "ever". The referral process is broke too. It will take anywhere from 45 to 120 days just for them to process the paperwork. That timeline does not include waiting for the approval or the waiting list depending on the specialist. It seems like the admin staff have zero checks and balances, so they do whatever they please. If your child requires anything else other than routine visit, don't go here. Children with special needs will not receive the care needed in a timely manner. I really don't think it is a priority:( . I would not recommend this pediatric facility ever. Truly disappointed. If you are n the business of taking care of people, you would think this type of treatment would not be tolerated, but unfortunately it is. read more

I have been taking my kids to Dr. Haney for 15 years. While I love her and the care she gives, they have no respect for your time at this place. I have been putting up with extremely long wait times for years unless I was the 1st apt of the day. We've even waited up to over 2 hours with no explanation or apologies. My husband has told me for years to switch. He says it's run like a welfare clinic. This last experience was the last straw. I gave a courtesy call that we running late about 15 minutes and was told it was fine. I asked how delayed they were (because they always are) and was told 20 minutes. I arrived at the office a little over 15 minutes late, then had to wait a minute or two for the person ahead of me to finish. I put my daughters name in and then we waited for 20 minutes for them to call me up to "officially" check us in. There I was told because I was 20 minutes late that they have a 20 minute rule that I would either have to reschedule or wait another 45-60 minutes. I was told NONE of this when I called. I asked what time they had us putting our name in - 3:20 EXACTLY. I was officially in the door before 3:20 but I was officially 20 minutes late on their computer. They tell me this after we had been sitting there for 20 minutes already and wouldn't even grace me a minute?!!. Come on! I felt completely slapped in the face by this. I had been putting up with their constant delays and extreme wait times for years and then to "punish" me after I gave a courtesy call and already being delayed themselves. It was like they were so put out by it. That experience told me everything about our value to them. My loyalty meant nothing. I just left the office and we aren't ever looking back.
