My wife went in for a simple removal of some wax from her ear and after getting the wax out the nurse went into a process (NOT NEEDED) where basically they ruined her ears and now has tinnitus, of which she will need to take steroids and who knows what else will happen...We will probably talk to a lawyer, but either way stay away from this place, very Unprofessional and they dont care about you. read more

Next Level at Cinco Ranch worked well for me. I am visiting the area and came down with an upper respiratory issue. I called, set an appointment. They sent a link for me to fill out a couple quick forms and upload documents. Went for my appointment. Sat there less than 5 minutes; waited in examination room for a couple minutes, saw the doctor, got prescriptions sent to CVS and was out in less than 15 minutes. Worked well for me. read more

As a patient who had several encounters with Next Level Urgent Care-Cinco Ranch, I feel confident in reviewing this place based on my visits. Also, as a healthcare worker (I am a Family Nurse Practitioner), I can medically gauge the quality of care I receive. I try to hide my profession from healthcare workers in order to evaluate the type of care they provide to patients who are not in the medical field. Overall, I would say I had satisfactory experiences here. However, this depends on the practitioner you see. Some are better than others. Some practitioners unfortunately do not even properly assess long enough, and this can lead to a misdiagnosis. There is an online check-in system which facilitates a faster process. If I cannot see my primary care physician (PCP) quickly, I will come here for sick visits. read more

WORST urgent care I've ever been to. Went in with a sore throat so bad I couldn't speak and pus filled white spots in my throat. I was given a strep test and when being given it the nurse was very aggressive shoving it all the way to the back of my throat WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT ME OR IN MY THROAT! She instead was looking at the wall as she swiped my tongue instead of the back of my throat as she should've. Then we (me and my mom because I needed her to tell the doctor what I texted to her because I lost my voice) waited TWO HOURS for the results. After we finally got to see a doctor she prescribed amoxicillin in the form of a huge pill (which I have to take twice and day and struggle to get it down every time) instead of a liquid version of amoxicillin which someone with a torn up throat would be able to get down much quicker. Overall, this is the worst urgent care I have EVER been to and wouldn't recommend to ANYONE. Go here if you're not in enough pain being sick or hurt and want a lot of extra pain and work to feel better. read more

NextLevel Urgent Care on Spring Green is not a place that I can recommend to people anymore, sadly. I have went there at least a few times a year until this year. (I have the papers here from my recent visit, too, in case the clinic wants to claim that they did not see me like they did on other people's negative reviews). I was just there a few days ago for pain in my kidney area and frequent urination, both signs of a UTI which I have had several times over the past few years. I was seen by someone who didn't introduce themselves, which I found out later was a nurse practictioner and not an actual doctor. They immediately wanted to give me a pain shot. What? No thanks, I said. Yes I have pain but it was nowhere near bad enough that I needed that, not to mention I drove myself there and was alone. Then he said my quick urine test came back negative and that it was probably just a stone and to not worry about it. He didn't palpate my abdomen, didn't ask me to rate the level of pain, didn't lay a finger on me to check where exactly I was hurting. Isn't that standard for someone complaining of abdominal or flank pain? (Yes, it is, according to medical sites online.) He prescribed some painkillers and antibiotics just in case. Well, the antibiotic he wanted to prescribe is in a family of drugs I have a listed allergy for in their system (which apparently he did not check). I had to insist on something different. I didn't pay attention to the pain killer since I wasn't sure I even needed that. My husband tried to pick up my meds at CVS on his way home from work, the location near our home that I had explicitly requested and confirmed with the medical assistant at NextLevel. CVS gave him the pain killer and not the antibiotics. I found out that NextLevel called the meds into 2 different pharmacies across town from each other! When he got home with the pain meds, it too, was in a class of drugs I told them I was allergic to! What the heck!? By the way, they call to check on patients 2 days after the visit. It wasn't even the nurse that called me. Previous years, when I visited this location, I saw doctors and the actual doctor would call me and check up. Service has deteriorated at this clinic. Their check-in app wasn't working right, either, and their assistant told me that this has happened before. Not surprised. They can't even keep their computers running right and they send scripts to the wrong pharmacies. I wouldn't be surprised if they mixed up my test results with someone else's, too, because I have a full blown UTI now even though they said I didn't. Let's be honest, our choices as health care consumers are limited to which insurance empire has staked claim on each entity. Been here a few times already with kids and family. There is typically no wait time. They take you in right away. This is a new facility so everything is very clean. Staff is very friendly! My son came here for a few stitches on his eyebrow and they did a great job. A week or so later we came back to have them removed with no additional cost. Our insurance covers the medical cost so I can't say what their fees are for a non insured person? I will always come here first unless it is a serious Emergency and highly recommend! read more

NEXT LEVEL Cinco Ranch is awesome! The name suits them well. I have been to Next Level twice in the last 6 months and both times I felt that they cared much more about me than my finances or my ability to pay. Both times they took me in the back and diagnosed me and told me I could take care of the check in later. That is so rare these days. Koko, the MA was so nice and friendly... she took as much time with me as I needed. She answered all of my questions. The service was prompt and Stephen Mack, NP was able to get to me very quickly. He has a great bedside manner. He may me feel at ease and was clear with my follow up instructions. Also, the whole team at the front desk was so friendly. No quality patient care. I was Injured at work and the doctors are more concerned with following Workmen's Comp and State policies rather than assessing the patient's true chief complaint. As I stated before... if I was using my private insurance and the doctors at this practice would they followed their oath and treating the patient's care and have a good treatment plan for better results. I would NEVER recommend to anyone who needs medical care to this practice! Are you kidding me on the wait time here? Is everyone out at lunch and just making us sit here? This is ridiculous. If I knew the wait would be this long I would've taken him to his regular doctor. We came here because they are called urgent care. We needed a PCR test not rapid test. We are not getting our Covid results today so I don't have a clue as to why we have been waiting for over an hour for a provider to come meet with us well after we have had our PCR swab test. I absolutely do not recommend coming here unless you have over 2 hours to wait which we do not! We are literally still sitting here and there is no sense of urgency with anyone! Ridiculous. We have visited Next Level Urgent Care four-times in the past few years for various illnesses. Their team is incredible, sincere and empathetic. Our last visit was a few weeks ago when my son had a pretty traumatic fall that resulted in a concussion. He was inconsolable and I was overwhelmed by his reaction and the injury, and couldn't think straight. Shortly after we walked in he got sick in the lobby. The staff rushed us into a room and the doctor came in immediately. The doctor was great and managed to calm us down. We subsequently had to go to the ER, but I'm thankful for their guidance. When I walked in I asked if they had an MD working. They said yes, and I told them I wanted to see a Doctor. Instead, I was consulting with a Nurse Practitioner. Nothing against a NP, however, I wanted to see an actual MD. There wasn't a sink in my exam room, so clearly no medical professional could wash their hands. The nurse that took my information and vitals, as well as the NP that did the exam, didn't even bother to use the hand sanitizer that is placed against a wall. My exam included a swab for Strep Throat, and still, the hand sanitizer was never used. The NP told me I might have the flu, but since my symptoms had been present for more than 48 hours, there was no reason to test for it. I was prescribed a mild, and ultimately useless, cough syrup and sent on my way - $140 for just my cost, not including the insurance company portion. All with not one single hand washing. I'll never be back, and I'd be cautious about visiting a clinic that doesn't even have a sink, and still uses no sanitizer before examining patients. read more

BEWARE! Don't go here for Rapid Covid Testing if your insurance covers it. Go somewhere else (AFC Urgent Care on 1463 has been great). This place will bill you $75 for the test and bill your insurance for an office visit, so they can get more money. You won't be able to submit the claim to your insurance. This is the only place that we have been to billing it this way. Other places just bill your insurance direct and you don't have to pay out of pocket. Way to go taking advantage of people needing testing during a pandemic! read more

Took my son who was diagnosed with flu. Very positive and accommodating experience, from Receptionist, Tech (Fabio Rojas) to Dr Stephen Mack. Dr Mack is very interactive, spends time and not a drop by Dr that is unfortunately too common these days. After getting off work and making it home around 8:15 pm, I was met with a very sick son! I went online and virtually checked in to Next Level Urgent Care. Within 5 minutes I received a phone call from the clinic advising that I could head to the clinic. Upon arrival, everyone was very polite and accommodating (even though by the time I arrived it was 15 minutes before closing). They immediately saw my son, took vitals, and diagnosed him with influenza. We were driving away with prescriptions and a school note by 9:06 pm. I can't say enough positive thing about their care. I needed to get a Covid test and was apprehensive about it from hearing other people's experiences. I went to Next Level -Cinco today to get the test. I mentioned my concern to Diana S, RMA and she immediately reassured me that it wouldn't be as bad as I expected. She administered the test professionally and quickly and it wasn't bad at all! I went to this urgent care for sore throat with bleeding tonsils, cough with thick, yellow sputum, fever, and ear pain. When you first walk in, you are immediately greeted. The waiting room was nice, clean, and empty. After giving my ID and insurance card, I was taken immediately back to a room. I figured this would happen because it was empty, but it is still nice to point out. The nurse came in about 10 minutes later and obtained a swab of my throat, sent it, then came back and got vitals. She told me Dr. Nugyen would be in to see me. I said to my husband, "I hope he doesn't just wait until the results come before it comes in to introduce himself and assess me." ...That is exactly what happened. About 35 minutes or so later, He walks in and says, "Hello, I am Dr Nugyen. So you have strep throat. Have you had any ear pain?" I tell him yes and he looks at my throat and ears. He then says my throat is pretty swollen and my ear is pretty red, and he is going to write for antibiotics, steroids and to take ibuprofen for pain and fever. He also said to not go to work tomorrow. So there were a few issues here... 1. He waited until my results came back to even introduce himself. I know it wasn't busy and I heard him outside of my door conversing. I work in an ER and I see every single one of my patients before tests are done/resulted AND before the patient is discharged. 2. He never asked me why I was there. As a doctor, you are suppose to obtain your own H&P from the patient, ensuring nothing was missed. If a person c/o of cough and thick sputum, the provider usually at least listens to lung sounds. Being that I have had bronchitis before, I wasn't sure if that was also a part of my problem. Guess we will never know. 3. No one ever asked about my level of pain. Every healthcare provider knows its the 5th vital sign. In the past when I have had strep, I was given Tylenol with codeine for pain. So I was slightly annoyed when I was told to take steroids and motrin for my painful, bleeding, infected tonsils that prevented me from eating. After taking the meds on an empty stomach and nearly choking because of the pain of swallowing (Amoxicillin tabs are pretty large), I vomited about 20 minutes later. Pretty sure the sudden onset of nausea and vomiting could be contributed to by the steroids, motrin, and antibiotics I took without eating. Again, it hurt too bad to eat. I will say that the regimen did work and eventually brought my pain from a 8/10 to a 2/10, but I could have done without the vomiting. I hoped for a quick relief, like I received the other 2 times I have gone to an urgent care for strep. But I guess I can't really give them negative stars for that. Especially since how narcotics are being abused in the US. But when there is an obvious source of pain, be a little sympathetic. All and all, the staff were nice and made themselves available. I really appreciated their care and consideration. As far as the doctor, I don't doubt his capability as a healthcare provider. After all, it is two days later and I'm feeling better. But he is getting paid for his services. Have some compassion. Make us comfortable is possible. At least say hello and keep your patients informed. It costs you nothing. ;-) read more

I suddenly came down with chills, fever, and just feeling blah. My son was diagnosed with flu and strep earlier in the day. I used the online check-in feature and arrived when I received the text. Checked in at the desk and was in a room within 5 minutes. Out in about 20. Considering they were very busy I was pleasantly surprised. Great Experience arrived and immediately greeted put in the room the room I asked them to run rapid strep and flu since that was what was going around in January we ended up with antibiotics related to a bronchial situation they called in my prescriptions and told me what the charge would be in my case it was 140 they said it would've been 200 had I not have had a discount from my insurance. I recently went to Next Level Urgent Care Cinco for really bad allergies that would not let up. Typically I go to my GP for anything that last more than 24 hours at the same level, but unfortunately they were booked at the time I wanted to go. Immediately when I walked in, I was taken aback since it was unlike any other doctors office or medical facility I've ever been to. The lobby is trendy, colorful, clean and bright. Another thing I noticed, there wasn't anyone in the lobby.Now, in my 26 years I've never known any type of medical office to not have anyone waiting in the lobby. That is how it is there, they immediately take you back within a minute of walking in. For myself, and i'm pretty sure most people if you're at a medical office it's because you need to be and want attention ASAP to help you get better faster- so the fact I didn't have to wait 40 minutes or 4 hours was already a plus. Going into the visit- I wasn't 100% sure on what an urgent care center was. The nurse informed me it's a median to a normal Emergency Room or GP. They handle an array of medical issues like broken bones and the common cold/allergies. Also that they are open 7 days 9a-9p versus a lot of other places that close early or on weekends. He spoke with me for a few minutes in a relaxed manner to hear my concerns/questions of what was ailing me. I felt as though there was no rush to move on to the next patient which occurs at most places. Before proceeding the nurse checked my insurance to see what my copay would be and informed me it would only be a max of $50 since "I was insured". I then asked so what if I weren't and he replied no more than $200. So needless to say $50 seemed reasonable, plus I would be billed at a later date after it processed through my insurance company. They gave me an iPad to have me register as a new patient. It was quick and painless with a few of the basic questions the paper forms typically include: my information, family history, etc. and what was currently a concern/issue of health. The medical questions offered a handful of different symptom options and some had the choice to select other, but there was no place to write in the "other symptom". I wish there was a place to say what the symptom is as that can mean a variety of things. Once that was completed the nurse took my vitals and shortly thereafter left to get the nurse practitioner. The NP came in and checked my sinus cavities, etc. He then spoke with me and made sure I was okay and again gave me the feeling he wasn't in a rush to see anyone else. I asked a couple generic medical questions I was curious of regarding sinus medication and he informed me of some options he recommends with their costs. At the end of the visit the NP said they will call in a few days to verify I am doing well, but if I worsened to come right back. As if to say, he genuinely cared, don't take any chances and they will take care of me. Before he left he did offer a work slip for the time spent there. The original nurse came back and had me verify the information on the iPad to conclude my visit/billing followed by a two question survey. The two questions are "Would you recommend Next Level to a friend" and "Were all my needs/questions met/answered" and both had a 1-10 scale option. The best part of the visit was I was in and out within 50 minutes! I will definitely go back! read more
