It's theatre season at TCU! Last night's performance was an adaptation of Homer's Odyssey, and the students performed very well. I normally don't attend the late night performances but rather prefer the mid-afternoon shows on Saturday or Sunday; however, the show was captivating and never once did I realize how tired I was. If I had anything bad to say about TCU, it'd just be that their parking sucks. Yes, I attended (and graduated from) TCU, so I'm a bit biased. But, I definitely wouldn't have anything bad to say about my education. Diverse degree programs, nationally ranked business school, newly renovated dorms, classrooms and stadium... it's what a BIG XII university is all about. GO Frogs!! read more

My son and I took the full day tour of TCU today. We are from Chicago. As expected, TCU has a beautiful campus. Has the feel of a big college campus, with less than 10,000 undergraduate students. The only surprise for me was that there was very little to no emphasis on the "Christian" in Texas Christian. read more

Since this was Eric's alma mater he wanted to show me around. Beautiful campus. Well maintained lots of history. Took lots of photos. Everyone on campus was friendly and happy and looked like they loved being there as well. I really could see why he loved it so much. Was in Dallas and took the drive to TCU since my son is a huge fan. Even tho we skidded in 3 minutes before closing they let us in and we're very nice about letting us have the time to shop. $300 later we happily checked out. The store is large and well equipped. I'm really please and impressed as to thoughtful and organize this school is. As far as I can tell from the short visit we had, the school and the faculty really put in a lot efforts and thoughts to making their students feel at home. The cafeteria is nice with multiple options likes making fruit smoothies and different Ice cream flavors. read more

This schools campus is smaller than most college campuses but it's way bigger than I thought it was. I wasn't expecting some school in Fort Worth to be what this school is. I came here for transfer day and after going on the tour I'm completely sold on wanting to attend here. As we walked around you could see so many students with school pride. If you don't have family money, you're not worth their time. I intended to go to TCU for the 2020-2021 schoolyear and I was a recipient of their presidential scholarship. But I couldn't get the time of day from my student advisor - he'd often respond a week or two late if at all. I cancelled my admission after hearing that I would be expected to take out a loan for $40k for ONE YEAR - of online classes. Nope. The whole process was made INSANELY difficult by staff members who really made it feel like it was an annoyance for them to be dealing with me (a prospective student, early graduate, National Merit Scholar... I could go on). I had to go through four people to finally get my loan cancelled, and then no one would answer my email asking for confirmation as the deadline approached and I STILL WASNT SURE IF I WAS $40K IN DEBT OR NOT. I was originally considering re-enrolling at TCU after my gap year but any chance of that is gone - I'm not giving my money to an institution that has made it clear that I'm not worth their time. read more
