    Sirloin steak and sweet potatoes
    Mabel G.

My first time eating at Texas Corral. The interior feels like a true western corral. You can view them making the sweet bread in the front of the store and there are barrels of peanuts-you can drop the shells on the ground. I ordered a sirloin steak with sweet potatoes and soup. It was made perfect. The rolls are on the table right away and comes with a sweet butter spread. I even grabbed a few rolls to go too. They have variety items on the menu like chicken, seafood and steaks. The kids meal also has a menu and activity for children to busy themselves while the food is being prepared

Food was okay. Slow service. The lady that seated us was new. It was her first day. The bartender was the waitress and bartender for us. Waited over 25 mins for a refill on soda. Nice and quiet. The restaurant seemed a bit dates. Food came out quickly. However, flavor wasn't there.

Made a random stop here for dinner. Was given complimentary bread rolls. Surprisingly delicious, including the salad. The chicken fried steak was delicious! Beer was crisp and the steak and fries were also crispy. No complaints here. Service was good. Ambiance was quiet for a Friday night.

Ordered dinner for 2 and received overcooked pasta swimming in sauce (inedible) and my son's dinner included an extra treat, PLASTIC! SEE PHOTO! Spoke to "manager" Justin who removed items from bill but was completely clueless about any customer service. An apology would have been nice!

Half open Cowboy Chili just waiting to spill all over your car

Idk if its the management that is making the servers hate their lives but why on earth would you wait 2 hours to start an online order. And then why would you made zero attempts at any apology. I called on the phone and sat on hold for 35 minutes and never even spoke to a person. When i went in person to ask if my order was ready(politely) the FOH Mary told me there were no orders. The entire restaurant was empty by the way. Then she looked at the tablet behind her and said OH! Just come back in 30 minutes. .... After i had waited 2 hours.......... I came back after 30 minutes and picked up the food and asked if i could add a large Dr. pepper. Mary charged me $5 and 15 minutes later she Came back with a kids cup full of ice. And one. Single. Sip. Of dr. Pepper. Mary is dont know if you are petty or if your manager really treats you so bad that you preform like this. But yall all need to do better. And i ordered chili and they did not close it they just threw in the takeout bag. ... after nearly 3 hours they could have at least stacked or wrapped it.

the steak was amazing, perfectly cooked with a nice sear and so juicy inside. the seasoning was just right, not too salty, not too plain. the sides were good, especially the truffle fries, super crispy and flavorful. service was friendly but took a little long to bring the food. the restaurant had a warm, cozy vibe, definitely a place i'd come back to for a nice dinner.

1st fries were inedible. Redone and done right.

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch on 9/6/24 @2pm. (Sorry for the late review). Service was a little slow, considering there weren't that many customers at that time. I ordered the lunch menu Chicken Fingers and my husband ordered the Southern Fried Catfish meal. The chicken fingers were horrid and had a disgusting texture in my mouth. I wanted to gag. I asked the waitress if these were ready made out of a bag kind from the freezer? She admitted they were. I told her they are just pressed fatty chicken pieces and it tasted gelatinous (gummy) and mushy and that I was terribly disappointed they didn't use real chicken. I told her the waffle fries were over fried, greasy and had probably 3xs the amount of salt needed, plus some weird mystery item. The waitress asked if I wanted a new order. Umm, yes. It was done much better. The waitress was okay, but not overly apologetic or enthusiastic that she had to do more work. My husband's fish was the only redeeming quality about the whole experience, since it was decent, as well as the guy(s) who brought out our food. They were great with he right attitude. We've been here before, many years ago, and the quality has gone way, way down. Sorry, but we won't ever be coming back.

We decided to go here for dinner after reading some reviews that said this place was just like Texas Roadhouse. However, I was extremely disappointed. It's kind of like the dollar store version of TRH. We only waited for about 15 minutes for a table. The girl who was seating people was stomping and throwing a fit every time another group needed to be seated. She kept throwing her head down onto the counter when the other girl told her there was another group ready. Our waitress had clearly been in the industry for a long time because she was very seasoned and confident. I think her name was Jojo(?). She did kind of seem to run away before we could get our full sentence out but it was fine. She was very nice and I think she had quite a few tables. The low rating is mostly for the food. We ordered the Texas Flower, which was good, if not a little bland. We both got sirloins (medium) and steak fries. The steaks were awful. Both of them were rare and a really tough and stringy texture. Neither of us finished them. The manager did take one off of our bill which was very nice. Several tables nearby had the fajitas, which smelled amazing. So if I were to ever go back, I'd try those. But I'd recommend skipping the sirloin.

We ordered the Elote Pizza, and overall it was really good. It had a nice wood-fired crust that was probably the highlight of the meal. The only downside was that it came with a garlic aioli that was very heavy...there was so much on the pizza that it overpowered some of the other flavors. I think it would have been even better with a lighter hand. For drinks, I had one of their sour beers and my husband ordered an IPA. Both were good, but neither really stood out as anything particularly memorable. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and took good care of us. The layout of the brewery was a little unexpected. We walked into the main entrance, then the host brought us back outside and over to a separate building where the bar is located. It was a little confusing at first, but it ended up being a neat setup. The restaurant was clean, with a spacious dining room and a nice-looking patio. The only thing that kept this from being a higher rating was the value. It felt a little expensive for what we ordered, and while everything was solid, nothing really wowed us. Overall, I'm glad we stopped in, especially as a place to escape the heat for a while. If you're in the area and looking for a casual meal and a local beer, it's worth checking out...I just wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit again.

Spoke to the manager who was very unapologetic and didn't seem to care about treating your customers well. Pretty much said that's their policy even if you happen to come just 5 mins before close. Food was average, their "award winning" lamb burger was not medium rare as stated on the menu. The only saving grace was our waitress who was very attentive and empathetic. Will not venture here again nor will recommend anyone to go here.

Bottom Line: Fun, waterside, marina atmosphere with decent food. Worth a stop…read more I picked this place out from my map function because it looked interesting, on the water, and near an historic, old railroad bridge (Trail Creek Swing Bridge). It is my first time here, and for a late afternoon linner. The place did not disappoint--for the most part. It is open air with a beachy, boaty, picnic tables-under-umbrellas vibe. It overlooks the water, a marina, and the name inspiring railroad swing bridge which makes for an interesting visual environment. Thankfully there is no attempt to force an out of place theme, sparing us from steel drum background music. Interestingly though, the only nod to the railroad structure inspired name was an old school railroad crossing sign at the entry otherwise everything else is boat marina feel. Our server was friendly and efficient. My hefty burger was thick and juicy. The coleslaw was fresh. The disappointment was the fries. They were more like shoestring fries and came dried out/overcooked. The sweet potatoes fries were a better bet. The lackluster fries were not enough though to lose a star. Overall the experience was a satisfying one and at a reasonable price. I would definitely come back especially as a very nice alternative to the other railroad name inspired brewery restaurant in town.
