My boyfriend and I visited Texas de Brazil to celebrate our anniversary. Parking was standard garage parking, and the ambiance inside was nice. He made a reservation through OpenTable and noted that it was our anniversary. When we arrived, the hostess acknowledged the occasion, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately that's where the good service ended. It took 15 minutes for our server to show up, and when he did, he apologized and took our drink orders. In my opinion, that's way too long. Especially since we were starving, just sitting there staring at the salad bar. The salad bar itself was nothing amazing, but it did the job. We had the Caesar salad and scalloped potatoes, both of which were great. When my drink finally came out, it was a huge disappointment. It was tiny (photo attached) and cost $14, which would be fine if it were strong, but it tasted like juice. I could barely detect any alcohol at all and I felt nothing afterwards. Then the meats started coming and it only got worse. The first cut was a sirloin, which was absolutely inedible. I asked for medium, but what I got was half fat, half tough tendon meat. I literally couldn't cut through it (photo attached). I kept getting different variations of sirloin through the night and every single one was tough and/or fatty, and impossible to eat. Then came the filet mignon which was GREY. It was chewable at least, so I ate it because I was starving. The Parmesan pork was next, and it was so dry it was sandy. The crust made it even worse. Surprisingly, the chicken and sausage that came together were actually juicy, flavorful, and easily the best meats of the night. The flank steak was okay but very tough, but at least edible. The beef rib had good flavor and was tender and moist but it was soooo salty it almost wasn't worth it. We had been to Texas de Brazil before for a birthday and I remembered they used to bring sides out automatically. 20 minutes into eating, I realized we still didn't have them. We flagged down our server and he admitted he forgot. He asked if we wanted any specific meats while we waited, and we requested beef rib. It took another 20 minutes to get the sides, and another 10 minutes after that for the beef rib to show up.. The cinnamon bananas were great. They were perfectly cooked, sweet, and syrupy. But the mashed potatoes were absolutely disgusting. They tasted like boxed potatoes made with faucet water. Both the taste and texture were appalling!! The worst I've had in my whole life. To top it all off, our server barely refilled our water the entire night. We got one refill right before we got the check. The service was really really slow and lazy. He was nice enough but when the restaurant is damn near empty you would think he could at least fill our waters on time. Between the long waits, the tough meats, the horrible mashed potatoes, and the weak drinks, this was absolutely not worth the high price tag. I will never, ever come back here nor suggest that you come here under any circumstances.

First time visiting and it was a beautiful place but everything was mid to me. The meat was alright not very much options like the other places the salad bar was okay I definitely compared this place to gauchos and i prefer there. The customer service was really good and the drinks and the place is so cute and had no issues making reservations!

Texas de Brazil in Houston is totally worth the splurge! We recently celebrated my husband's birthday here, and it was amazing. The all-you-can-eat meats are incredible--filet mignon, lamb chops, ribs, sausage--you name it, they bring it right to your table. The salad bar and sides are fresh and tasty, and the dessert is absolutely delicious--perfect way to end the meal! The restaurant is elegantly decorated, perfect for dressing up, yet very kid-friendly--our whole family always feels welcome. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. Yes, it's pricey, but for the food, service, and atmosphere, it's worth every penny. We've brought the family multiple times, and it never disappoints!

Dare I say this is the best Brazillian steakhouse in Houston. I can't believe I have never tried this restaurant because I saw the ratings weren't good. Came here since we didn't want to drjve to the Galleria for Chama Gaucha and we are not a big fan of Fogo de Chao. Omg everything was so good from the salad bar to the meat. I would say the Brazillian cheese bread could be a little bit better but everything else is chef kiss. My favorites were the bacon wrapped filet mignon and the beef picanha. Service was amazing too! Cant wait to come back here the next time!

After visiting Houston Museum of natural science we chose Texas de Brazil for dinner. Beautiful establishment with great staff. It is a Brazilian eatery featuring all-you-can-eat grilled meat carved tableside & a salad bar. You definitely leave full! I love that you are able to try different meats. Their salad bar was my fav. Fresh, crisp, and a great variety of items. They also bring bread, mashed potatoes, and fried bananas to he table. The bananas were delicious. We also ordered a pitcher of their Brazilian lemonade. Our server Vinicius was awesome!

Visiting Texas de Brazil is always a delicious experience! The customer service is attentive and the flavorful food never disappoints. You really can't go wrong with any choice here - we always leave completely satisfied for the day. Some must-try meats are the lamb chops and shredded beef, but honestly, everything is worth a try. And don't skip the salad bar - it's just as addictive!

We came here for Christmas dinner and loved it! We were able to book a same day reservation for an early 4:30pm dinner, and were seated within minutes of arriving at the restaurant. As for the food, it was delicious! Their salad bar was very fresh with lettuce, cucumber, onions, shrimp, smoked salmon & lobster bisque, amongst other options. It was so good I had two plates of it. Their meat was delicious as well. Definitely liked the sirloin as my favorite there. My fiancé also very much enjoyed her meal too. Last, we got dessert too and it was money! The portion size of the cheesecake was pretty good, and my fiancé and brother in law's girlfriend also enjoyed the banana fosters pie. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We would come back for sure!

I believe it's $45.99 worth it to me. But in March they sell a VIP CARD for $69 and it gives you 12 meals at 1/2 price

Moderate pricing for meals and cocktails. They do offer a good happy hour during week.

You pay a set price. They bring rods of grilled meat to you and slice if you would like it. Kind of like a cafeteria that comes to you. Salad bar -you can no longer serve…

I told him I had just spoken to someone yesterday, and he "you have wrong information, there's no way we can do reservations with this many people - you probably called the corporate office (it's the number listed on their website so that made no sense)" and was very dismissive of me and not apologetic whatsoever. It's totally understandable that reservations wouldn't be possible on a World Cup day. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). Had to take my three nieces elsewhere at the last minute and don't imagine I'll be returning after that experience.

The Palladium is located on a one-way freeway frontage road, so you can't make a U-turn to get there if you pass it up. But it's not one to avoid. The Palladium is not a franchise of a nationwide company named after Arthur Murray or Fred Astaire. It's a local concern, and doesn't offer as much as the other two studios I listed. I've gone to their Latin events, and here's what it looks like: They have in-house instructors, and also bring in people from outside Houston. (I wrote about California's Kathy Reyes in two prior reviews, I hope she's reading this and makes the trip to Houston some time!) They have classes, and they have dance parties. Both are run well, charging market rates. Lots of parking. One medium-sized dance floor, two smaller studios. The bar sells drinks, both alky and non-alky. Restrooms are deep in the bowels of the building, down the hall to the left. The people who come are a good company, and are fixinta learn to dance better and to have fun. The social dance community of Houston is smaller than in other cities, so there's much overlap from one instructor to another, and it's likely that you'll meet someone there who you danced with somewhere else. I haven't met any snobs yet, but you can't assume that they won't be there. I first went to the Palladium for New Years Eve. I've been several times since then. The experience was similar to others I've been to in other cities. I've had a good time, and never drove home thinking "well, that was a waste of a hundred mile drive one-way." Beaumont simply has nothing like The Palladium, likely because few people in the Coonie Triangle are interested in ballroom or Latin dancing. I encourage you to find a class or party and stop on by.

The counter service keeps things moving while the food speaks for itself. The brisket was exactly what you'd hope for: a pronounced bark, a rendered fat cap, and slices that held together until they were pulled apart. The surprise for me was the brisket taco. Instead of feeling like a gimmick, it showcased the meat in a different way, balancing smoke, richness, and fresh toppings without masking the brisket. Good barbecue restaurants know their sides matter just as much as the meat. The mac and cheese was creamy, the sausage had a satisfying snap, and the house barbecue sauce complemented rather than covered the smoke. If you're visiting Houston, this is the kind of place that reminds you why Texas barbecue has earned its reputation. The environment is super cool, plenty of seating, a bar, private rooms, a dessert bar. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the workers spoke Spanish to each other the whole time until it was time to check out, so there wasn't much engagement. Which lead to a mix up of my order that we had to fix. What we are all here for, the FOOD: Chicken: Very juicy, tender, basic chicken, a great portion. I was grossed out by the amount of blood under the skin. (I KNOW it's an animal with blood but I've never had bbq with that amount of blood on the meat) but I'm not penalizing them for it. Def 7/10! Brisket: Super tender, melted in the mouth, great taste. 8/10 Green beans: Not greasy, tender (not mushy or undercooked). I think they may have spilled the seasoning into the batch they main because holy moly, a TON of pepper and salt. I'm heavy handed with my seasonings but that amount didn't seem intentional. I'd never thought I'd say this but the flavor would've been great with less seasoning. 5/10 Mac&cheese: Nothing special but definitely better than most bbq spots. I enjoy the texture and light flavor 7/10 Elote: Yummy but where's the beloved cilantro?! 8/10 Cornbread: Great flavor, not dry, and had jalapeno peppers in it! Super yummy 9/10. My only thing too, they had only 2 bbq sauce options, a bourbon coffee and their house bbq. To me, they were not good at all. I was extremely disappointed in that.
