After talking about all options, and asking a bajillion questions we decided to buy a new unit (SIGH). I want to complement everyone in their team for their professionalism. Never once was there a "this is the only real option for you". It was sensible and top tier with the options they provided. I cannot make a higher recommendation to use their service.

My issue holding back a higher…read morerating is that I called him out because I own a couple homes, 3 AC units, for the last 25 years. I am not new to AC issues. I knew that the issue was and told him. I called him out to replace a capacitor, nothing else. Install that, the unit will kick on. Cheap and easy fix. A gentec cap at Home Depot is about $14. Yep, $14. Discharge the old one with a screw driver, take it off, replace it. Charge me for a service call, maybe jack up the part price a bit, then boom, cool air and that's that. Well I once stopped using this company because it started to seem as if the techs are on salary, plus commission for upselling other services or parts. If this is the case, it makes the possibility for defrauding over over charging customers an obvious issue. Doesn't mean they will all be dishonest, but it would make dishonesty incentivized, and reward those techs that bring in the biggest numbers, and parts sold at an ungodly mark up. When we didn't have Youtube and the internet to cross reference and diagnose issues, and if I did not have a Nephew that is an HVAC tech but that lives too far, I would not be so upset that I felt had. He was a very pleasant person, but maybe this was a part of the manner in which the hammer was applied. So, an issue I have had several times over the course of 223 years of home ownership, that has never run a hair over $200 including the recharge, capacitor, and service call, ran close to $500, just a year past the last time I had this done by a competitor, same city. Another note, upstairs unit was chilly prior to the service of the downstairs unit. When the tech left, upstairs was warm. Not in relationship to the downstairs because of the fix, but unusually warm considering years both ran fine. He mentioned cleaning both. I did not ask for the upstairs to be serviced. What happened to the upstairs unit? What? Was I supposed to then call him back to now "fix" this one that magically started to warm up? Um, No. So I called the company I switched to in the first place. in the words of former President G.W. Bush... "There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee -- that says, fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again." At least I tried to allow them a chance for redemption. Seems like they are determined to upsell themselves out of my consideration ever again.

I had a new AC system installed by Sunny Service in August 2024 that included maintenance as part…read moreof the purchase. In June they performed a routine complimentary maintenance inspection to keep the system running smoothly. On July 30, 2026 the ceiling started dripping. I called them right away. A separate roofer also inspected and confirmed the roof and attic were fine, and specifically recommended checking the drain line on the pancake unit. I relayed this to Sunny Service. Their technician came out the same day, said everything was fine, and charged me another service fee. The next day (July 31, 2026) the roofer returned, opened the ceiling, and immediately found water coming from the direction of the pancake unit. The drain pipe was flooded. Just one day earlier Sunny Service had told me it was not the issue. I now have roughly $2,000 in ceiling repairs to deal with. I'm also unclear why the system did not detect the overflow and shut down, which the technician had previously explained it should do. I trusted this company for two years with a brand-new system. Please make sure any AC company thoroughly checks and clears the condensate drain on every visit. This should never have happened.

But, it finally succumbed to its mortality. WTD? Come to you great people of Yelp. The way I see it, if an hvac company is worth it, they've installed a unit in a home the same spec as mine before, so you don't need to send high pressured salespeople or a tech to give me the run around. Act like you are experts, professionals and look my home up on google, redfin, zillow. You should know what fits that home without ever coming out, or you aren't in the right business. Cameron from Team Enoch spoke to me on the phone. I sent him pics from my ladder to the attic where the air handler eeks out a living, and one of the manufacturers placard. I did same with the outside unit. Cameron was familiar with the system I had, mapde a few suggestions of different units they sell. I had a couple other prices from two others, one a family connect, the plug. Cameron even hooked me up with available 0% financing. Didn't use it because Chase Freedom offered 0% with two fitty cash back after spending $1500 first 3 mos. Boom, gottem. I was given a start time, the technicians, Alec and Alex arrived spot on the dime when they said they'd be there. No waiting. They took me through the process, explained everything in detail, then got right to work, no dilly, no dally. I was told how long the service would take, and they finished on time. These guys are as OCD as I am. The install was better than the original installation in 1995, brand new. Every line, crisp, every wire, tied and straight. I was military so everything has to be dressed right dress. It is. You can tell when the people providing a service care to get every detail with a high level of respect for every cent you're spending. Team Enoch even cleans up behind themselves. They respect your home. I just settled my bill, and it was truly my pleasure to pay for this. I honestly know I got more value for my moolah. Thanks to everyone on Yelp as well. I have a home warranty, they refused to cover the repair since the failure was the result of his faulty work. He refused to pay for me to have my new technician fix it. (He said he honored his work and would fix it, but I refused to let him touch the unit again since he messed up two steps when he installed it). I paid him $2,029.69 in 2023 and when it broke again, another $1,085 to a different technician to fix it. In total, his bad work cost me over $3,114.69

I called Reliant to come out and service my AC unit that we purchased thru them four years ago. The service technician was a great guy and told me that I had no air filter and my evaporator coil was faulty. Now I know how important a filter is to an air conditioning unit so I don't know if this was an intentional thing or just someone being absent minded back in October. Either way the part was covered under manufacturer warranty, but to refill our unit with Freon we have to foot the bill. Over $2000! When the gentleman leaves and tells me the part will have to be ordered I tell him please make sure yo note that we need a filter. He assured me he would. They sent another tech out a couple days later to and make sure that the evaporator coil in fact was bad. The second technician confirmed it and I asked him to make sure a filter was brought out. Fast-forward two weeks - we are having our part installed today and lo and behold --no filter. I have to call Reliant and complain again for the third time today about the customer service that we have received. The lady who answered the phone got in touch with the parts department and their service department and assured me someone would come out tomorrow morning with a filter. I firmly believe that the missing filter has cost us over $3000 now. We had to buy 2 window units to keep our home a cool 89° in the 100+° weather. Can't wait to see what my electric bill looks like.

I chose Comfort Land because I related to who I communicated to and was able to establish good communication with them at a, albeit weird hour (Saturday night 9pm). The person I talked to, Will, was very upfront about the pricing. The price was 49$ for a diagnostic visit. I also asked if there was a cancellation fee in case the AC worked itself out, no cancellation fee, and he also recommended some YouTube sites to see if some of the basics could be ruled out on the costumer side. I appreciated that and after doing some price comparison with 2 other companies, one of which tried to upsell me on a yearly plan, I decided to go with Comfort Land. I confirmed the appointment time on Sunday and on Monday they came early afternoon. I was not here when they originally came and my husband interacted with them, he had a favorable opinion. I had done my own research that morning and realized that the problem was likely inside the house since the outside unit was spinning normally and the refrigerant line was cold, but nothing was blowing in my house so I thought it was likely a motor blower issue. they confirmed that they found that the motor blower was not working. they also said the auxillary drain pan was very rusted (like around 2-3 feet of rust on the pan) I like that they documented everything very well and showed and emailed us pictures of what they found in our attic. I felt very comfortable and confident that they were honest and did a good evaluation. They called and had a motor blower and new drain pan delivered from their storage facility and I think the two of them waited outside the house for like 90 minutes for it. I think they came around 1pm, and left around 5 pm after installing everything and left after they made sure the AC was working, including measuring the temperature that came from the AC. In regards to the pricing: It was 2600 to replace the motor and change the drain pan. I did a search on HVAC subreddit and it seemed like that price was reasonable. My husband and I are very grateful for their prompt service, their handwritten evaluation that not only evaluated the immediate problem, as well as overall health of the AC system we had and the degree of wear and tear on some of the other parts. I feel comfortable recommending this company to friends and other people. Please keep up the good work everyone!
