Texas Energy Experts installed a Radiant Barrier in my attic four years ago and until recently I was very satisfied with its performance and their responsiveness to my needs. Recently it was discovered that the barrier had pulled away or dropped away from its original placement making it ineffective at blocking radiant heat in my attic. When I contacted T.E.E. they were surprisingly very responsive to my needs and have promised to send someone out in the near future to correct this situation. I am impressed with the fact that after 4 years they are ready to assist me with this problem. I will update this review after this situation is resolved. For now, I am very pleased. read more

I live in South Texas. We had a bad hail storm two months ago. We were lucky and had no real damage, just a roof which started leaking. We called and someone came out right away. They said it could take a couple of months to get to us. They showed up about seven weeks later and they got to work right away. Turns out our roof was in worse shape than we thought. The customer service was fabulous! They called and emailed us to let us know what was happening. The roofing crew was outstanding! I spent a large sum of money to have a new roof put on a couple of years ago. When the crew came out (after some length of time) I explain a roof leak I was having. The supervisor said he could fix it. He fixed it and two years later it still leaks. I give up trying to get them to fix it. They are blaming other circumstances for why it's leaking. Scratched the window sills excessively. Continued to find glass in yard for a year. Had to pester to get replacement screens that came damaged. I was never sent replacement plastic pieces installed accidentally took home. Installer brought his buddy to work. They paid him per hole, not per window. They did not pay him hourly or put him up in a hotel or pay for food, or pay the second man. The first guy paid him out of pocket. When getting my quote I was told they put them up in a hotel. Installer was being hurried to finish for the next job. The installer had a serious back injury and had great difficulty working, but is not employed by TEE so he doesn't have insurance and couldn't go to the doctor. Office people and salesman were only interested in my money. I feel like I should have gone through home depot. Home depot said everyone who comes into my home is background checked. TEE didn't even know the second installer. One of the days the second guy didn't come in, so the primary guy us trying to install huge windows, a lone, with a bad back. The company has changed names before, apparently. I would not choose them again. I had planned to use them for sliding down the road if things had gone well. They did not. read more

*UPDATE* After complaining to the BBB I received a phone call with the promise to have panels installed in 4-6 weeks. Their subcontractor, lighthouse solar, has exceeded my communications expectations. Updated will be given and appropriate rating will be updated once the work is complete. Original review: Signed contracts in november 2017 for solar panels and have yet to hear back from anyone. Kerry or Jacob will not return texts or phone calls. They are quick to get you signed up. We were verbally promised panels in March and here we are in July with NO PANELS. Dont give me an excuse saying you are busy. I guarantee you I am busier in my line of work in the same field in the Austin area and I still manage to answer everyone of my inquirires. Wonderful services, exceptional customer service, and we're more than satisfied with the overall outcome of the job! When we first purchased our home in 2015, we were novice homeowners, we were new to the market and needless to say, we were getting screwed left and right. But as fortuitous chance would have it, despite getting screwed on the inspection (the guy didn't even climb onto the roof, he looked at it with binoculars and passed it even with excessive damages, it was nearly impossible to get homeowners insurance afterwards and we paid dearly in high premiums, poor coverage, and impossible deductibles for nearly four years), we've managed to maintain a steady appreciation in the market value, as our home has managed 25% increase over the past several years, and thats with the dated roof, and its general wear and tear with neglected repairs! So this year we finally managed to save enough money for all the repairs to be done. We needed our roof to be entirely replaced, we needed some insulation work done where the roof had been leaking for some time, and we needed interior repairs done to the ceiling in our master bedroom. I went to yelp and put in a work request, we had four immediate responses from local contractors; but the best estimate by far was given to us here, from Texas Energy Experts. This young gentleman, Mike, worked with us directly, every step of the way. We paid half the estimated price ($6670/all inclusive) up front, and he didn't even mention the other half until he'd worked with our insurance adjuster for over two weeks to ensure that we got reimbursed for our out of pocket expenses that exceeded our deductible. My insurance company were generally, as difficult as they always have been, so Mike helped us find new homeowners insurance with over $600/annual savings and better coverage, and he still managed to get our old company to pay over half of the replacement costs on a 16 year-old roof with an expired warranty! Our roof looks 100% better, it's energy efficient and now our electric bills have dropped by 30%, the interior repairs were completed in one day (excellent cleanup), our roof was replaced in less than six hours (roofers stepped on my oleanders but overall no complaints there), and we were compensated by our insurance adjuster yesterday after first receiving our estimate from Mike a month ago. Our house is finally a home and we're getting it appraised today with an anticipated appreciation of over 30%! We couldn't be happier with our choice in this one stop contracting company, and we're thrilled with the outcome!
