    Big S.

Go all the time..it's cheaper than market catfish. And way more fun than shopping.. It's 2.85 a pound and they fellet them for ya. So u don't get nasty ..well Less nasty. U still fishing lol U can catch 1lb to usually around 4-10lb size cats.. Good fun .brought friend with me and my gf. And we got over 100lbs if cats. Split three ways it was a litle pricey. But had enough cat for my family well over a month, eating meal once a week, bake, fried ,soup u name it... And friend had at least 25 lbs to take home with her family.. Awsome way to spend a Saturday. I recommend this place and will always come shopping for fish here.. Screw the market.. They have all u need, if u don't have poles u can rent them. And even have bait! Ask them about the 50lb fish the caught.. No shit... Tell em big shaggy sent you.

We brought our own gear and bait, but they have both at reasonable price.

I have been doing this for several years so we have been on quite a few guided fishing trips. This was THE BEST guided fishing trip we have been on so far!! Larry is a people person and he does everything he can to make sure you have an excellent time. A front had blown through the day before so the weather had the fishing messed up. Larry worked hard and took us to many different spots in an effort to make sure we caught the most fish possible. He is definitely the kind of guide who will work hard for his money when the situation calls for it. Larry provides all of the gear and bait you need. His boat is outfitted with side scan sonar and a nice stereo so you can enjoy some good country music while you fish. You only need to show up with some drinks and snacks plus any any other various stuff you might require like sunscreen or bug repellent. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. *Note: The location on the map that Yelp is giving is inaccurate. He is based out of Duck Cove Marina on Lake Tawakoni. Google Maps application on your phone will take you right to Duck Cove Marina.

As you're descending into Dallas from the East you come across the spectacular and vast Lake which really doesn't fit into the Dallas area because it's just too beautiful and too wet. Like my Bae. I love the architecture and the greenery that surrounds this place. The lake is quite large and there are lots to do. From a walk around the board walk, to wine and dine. There is also a Cinemark on the grounds and a few hotels on same this side of lake. You can rent a canoe, boat or jet-skies. Even catch sunset with dinner on a boat. Definitely family oriented, there is not much for the night life. Sure hope that business picks back up, asi would hate to see this place go to waste. Several spots to pick from to eat from a Mexican, Cajun, American and Asian. Parking is a little tuff at times, you will find a spot eventually but you just have to circle around and walk further. They do have valet though, so that's an option. There is not much shaded sitting areas near the water so an umbrella is highly recommended, or a hat, but definitely plenty of sunscreen and water. The scorching summer hot days in Texas will have you screening if you don't. So pack accordingly and plan ahead.
