Then, we visited the recently renovated children's playground that has a large playground structure, swings, a zipline, and a warped wall. There are also at least two bathrooms located throughout the park- always a plus. Oh, and there's also two dog parks and a swimming pool, plus ample parking. If you're looking for a fun place to take your kid or go for a walk or run, this is a great spot. It gets quite crowded in the summer, but hey, it's popular for a reason.

A sturdy playground and I also like that it's spacious enough so everyone can enjoy. I like the seated zip line they have here. The design of this park sets itself apart from other parks . Overall a great experience on a hot sunny day. Plenty of shaded areas to keep cool in the Texas heat. Fun spot if you're in the Rockwall area!

Just being able to hear the water waves, and seeing the sun glistening against the water is a tranquil vibe. On the some weekends there are people giving birthday parties or barbecuing at the Barbecue Grills. There is a Fishing Pier, Parking lot area, Pavilions (Small), Picnic Tables, a Playground where my kids play and swing, a Sand Volleyball Court, Trails for Hiking / Biking. I enjoy the peace and convenience of the view to walk around the lakeside in a calm setting.

We stopped by the park after dinner but discovered the giant field of wildflowers in the back, which made the visit a lot more memorable. The flowers are gorgeous and there are so many spots for photo opportunities. I saw 7 groups of people taking photos and they were pretty spaced out. There are paths you can walk between the flowers so you don't step on them if you want to walk in. I'm not sure how long the flowers are blooming but definitely check out soon!

It was nice that the park had a lot of paved roads because the snow/ice melting that day left the grass pretty muddy. The park was pretty clean for the most part. It was $3.49 for a dozen live minnow and $6.49 for a bag of frozen shad. $8 per person. $1 per additional rod. Bathrooms are pretty clean. The fishing barge is located at the end of the pier. Enter through the main store. There's an inside fishing area in the barge with a rectangular hole where you drop your line in. I didn't go there because there are people in there smoking up a storm. We fished outside at the end of the barge facing the lake. Be careful if you choose this spot because you can get your line snagged very easily, especially on the right side. 3 stars for paying $8 and no fish and also for losing 3 lures from snags.
